Reps for service with "non" rep friendly watchmakers?
indywatchguy replied to CokeSmurf's topic in General Discussion
I disagree I wouldn't share any info up front on it being rep. It's on a need to know basis and guess what??? They don't need to know! At least not to adjust a band lol! -
Reps for service with "non" rep friendly watchmakers?
indywatchguy replied to CokeSmurf's topic in General Discussion
Relax my friend a good rep will pass with 99% of the public. Even good some AD sales persons don't have a clue. I've worn my Breitling SA into a AD to shop and the salesperson complimented on how nice it looked on me. I've also worn my sub into an AD and got the same response. A good rep cannot be spotted from the wristie. Remember only use watch geeks are OCD critical. Soooo relax and enjoy to the max gents! -
Idiot savant! Lol

www.ttw888.com I agree Andrew at TT is awesome. No worries about phishing emails guys its not that deep. The TD and factories take all the risk. It's not illegal to own reps only to misrepresent by selling as gen. As buyers our only risk is loss due to customs and also address possibly being flagged. So enjoy to the max!

How do you delete PM's? And are you aware it's only illegal in the USA if you try to sale a rep as a gen but to own is ok. Thanks. -
My first rep came in (pics along with my gen).

Seawolf has very nice AR.

Wow lastly ceg I have several PAMS with C3 and by far it's my favorite it glows like a torch and being a lume freak it's very important I have top quality lume. If you're into lume I don't find breitling to have that good of lume. My picks are the PAMS with C3 and the JLC Navy Seal Diver which is blue lume and if you get a good one it's the best lume I've ever seen. MD2020 might co-sign with me
-
Also as MD said it goes well with jeans or a suit. Enjoy to the max! And most of all welcome to the hobby and the addiction!

I agree with MD go for the Seawolf banana dial! I own one and in my 20 plus years of rep collecting this is one of the best I've ever seen. It's probably 95% accurate and is waterproof from the factory. I bought mine from Andrew at trusty time with zero issues very smooth transaction. What I like most about the banana dial is its unusual unique and rare for a time piece and the breitling yellow is a real eye catcher. As bam said chronos are more complicated so I would say stick with the super ocean or Seawolf. I believe both have Swiss eta movements which makes it even a better deal! What are you waiting for cegidius pull tha trigga man!
-
Yes MD is correct I've seen a Breitling Super Ocean at my local Costco. The rep looks spot on!
-
Btw I do own a gen Super Avenger but this was purchased prior to how good the reps have gotten and plus I got a sweet deal! But I compared my rep Seawolf to my gen SA and feel like a freaken fool for blowing that amount of cash.
-
Just curious why buy gen when the breitling reps are so good? Mainly the Super Avenger Seawolf Super Ocean and a few others. Not knocking gens just curious? I can't really justify the cost of a gen being the reps are so accurate
-
Cy33 believe it or not the breitling reps are so good your AD dealer wouldn't suspect it's a rep unless he opened up the back. Since you already purchase a gen he'd assume its gen. Anyway he wouldn't care cause your only getting the band adjusted. Glad you did it yourself it's an easy job with the proper tools. My SA has the older style band so it was simpler than the diagonal style band. However my Seawolf has the same band as your SA and it was a bit tricky but still doable.

BAM it is a great watch....put it back on the short list brother! I'll never part with mine!

Yes I concur Andrew is a very trustworthy guy! I just received a new Ceramic Omega Planet Ocean and he used a different website and business name to accept payment. Anyway guys he had to change his url again cause Oakley took it over. The new one for Andrew is www.ttw888.com

Always go Swiss Simon it gives the watch a little extra something. -
Derek the Seawolf will be fine in water just make sure the case back and crown are tight. I also have one and its water tight from the factory. Guys tend to be paranoid about the whole water resistance of reps. Every rep I've bought has been water tight right out the box minus tightening down the case back. I buy all my reps from Andrew at trusty time and if it says pressure tested it is. If its not Andrew will cover it but only if its a seal failure not user error ie open crown or loose case back. I know many members would disagree with me but you cant argue with results. i take all my reps snorkeling and diving to 25ft with zero issues. Enjoy to the max my friend and come on in the waters fine.
