  1. This should answer your question... http://www.ofrei.com/page240.html#2955 I'll warn you now though that the Bently is one HUGE attention grabbing watch! Big PAMs get away with it because they are retro, but this just shouts BLING BLING BLING. If you are going to wear one of these make sure the rest of you matches!
  2. I love stuff like this! I've got a collection of these, including a menu from an Italian restaurant that had, among other things, translated Calzone Farcita as 'stuffed pants'.
  3. Well - that's put paid to the 'He valve is too low' brigade....
  4. If you are talking about this... then the answer is yes, it does.. This particular model is available with either grey or blue dial only (no black or white - that is a different mdel).
  5. Yeah, but he ain't Swedish, he's errr, ummm... is there a country called Dumbass? Anyway - well done Henrik for probably one of the worst executed, but still the best goal of the World Cup so far.
  6. That sort of crap really cracks me up. What people know of you is what you present to them, so if you want to be treated differently start acting differently. Tell me, do you still call for your mama to wipe your [censored] after taking a dump?
  7. I wouldn't hold your breath Leeroy. A rep of this is going to stink for 2 reasons, and they are both to do with the movement... 1. To get this subdial placement the movement will either have to be quartz (yech!) or the bodged 7750 with the transfer gears to shift the top subdial - this will of course screw up the datewheel positioning 2. Calibre 36 means 36,600 BPH - no rep movement does this!
  8. Probably because they are crap. 11 transfer wheels and no lubrication in order to make something that looks and nearly works like a Daytona movement. Very high failure rate and guarenteed problems medium-to-long term. What price authenticity?
  9. You could try regulating it. Three weeks' running in is fair and even a genuine movement can show that kind of difference from new to used. I've had a good look at one of the latest 28,800 BPH Asian movements, and provided it's been oiled from the factory I can't see any pressing urgency to change it if it is running ok, especially as yours will be bog-standard with none of the aftermarket-style transfer gears.
  10. Did I not say that about a page ago? It's a real pain that these copy 7750s with the cludged subdials have made it out of the rep factories and into the open markets. They really serve no useful purpose other than replacements for their defective counterparts in rep watches that use them. My suspicion is that these are the surplus 1st generation Asia 7750s that no-one even in the rep factories wants anymore as they have been superseded by the 28,800 model. The finish on them certainly looks poor.
  11. I'm actually thinking of selling the only one I have......
  12. Like Duuhhh - he's in a watch shop and they smell money....
  13. I've alluded to this already - the datewheel can sometimes appear right of centre depending on the numerals showing. I've had a wee peek at the movement though and it doesn't appear to be as a result of any non-standard placement of any of the components, so an alternative date overlay should theoretically be possible if it troubles you that much. Probably even just swapping the wheel out for a generic genuine ETA 7750 wheel should do it. Certainly the problem isn't as serious as the previous model TAG chrono rep which had a date font that looked like a child had drawn it on with a magic marker...
  14. If my watch looks wrong it is because my photography is rubbish. The watch featured in both sets of pictures (mine and TTK's) is exactly the same piece - not an identical one but the same one!!!! I bought the demo model!
  15. S'ok - I've cracked it already. It's two push pins and then screws - exactly as per the genuine as described in the PDF from TimeZone. See - told you all that this is one exceptionally accurate rep!! At one point I dropped one on the carpet but I barely panicked as I thought to myself 'getting spares for this will be a doddle - bet the gens will fit...)
  16. You can have this one back if you want, for a small premium....
  17. Oi, stop trying to hijack my thread and point out I'm a [censored] photographer (OK, so I admitted it first but that's not the point )
  18. I disagree as I've since stood at the shop window and examined the real thing. My crap photography combined with the 'funny' datewheel I've already alluded to is casting shadow and making the window look smaller than it really is. If you take a look at Neil's (far better) picture of this same watch you will see what I mean.
  19. Absolutely what I was looking for. Many thanks! @RT - it's 7750@28,800, so it behaves just like the real deal Calibre 16! Call me sad, but this is one rep I own that I can wear daily and people who know me will not call me out for as the price bracket is commensurate with my standard of living (unlike the PAM 090 I've been wearing of late...) I know three wearers of genuine TAGs and they will not pick this up as being anything other than a stablemate of their watches. Disregarding the brand image though, if you are an appreciator of the forger's art (which, let's face it we all are here) then this is one piece you have to at least see and handle if not own. It really is that good. It ranks alongside the IWC Gst and the 'old' Seamaster 007.
  20. It ain't quartz! From dome of crystal to [censored] of base it is 17mm. Bracelet and clasp are identical to the real thing. I can say that as I have handled two other examples of genuine watches with this particular bracelet. @Neil - it's every bit as good as you said it is (and the missus said you can forget the wee request on the envelope....)
  21. Tag Heuer Link Chrono, from TTK. PS. Can anyone point me to instructions on how to size the bracelet on this wonderful beast?
  22. rep... (my pic) gen... (borrowed w/o pemission from ryaku ) This piece is stunning. It's up there with the 'closed factory' Omega Seamasters in terms of authenticity. I have spotted just two flaws - the datewheel is a little funny and the model number on the caseback is 1 digit out - both correctible if I was thus inclined.
