  1. a $100 Noobmariner have no more flaws than these $600BB ... please, somebody enlighten me: why are you paying this much?
  2. Absolutely agree with you, and so i do with my purchases Also never understood why people prefer speedy Andrew better than meticulous TTK.
  3. Go for the Steelfish. I agree with some that the IWC is a better looking watch, but is too much overpriced for an Asian core. With the steelfish you get one of the best original swiss movements, so forget about any problem for the next (at least) 15 years. Overall quality and finishes are as good as the IWC, and you save almost $300 to buy some other great reps.
  4. I think you are in a mistake. Navitimer "serie Speciale" has no more, no less flaws than Evo's. Both would be spotted by an expert as fakes, and both would look as an original by 99% of people even holding them at hands. If decide for Evo, the watch is exactly the same, so only the movement is different, and probably the difference in price is worth to take the swiss. The chinese movement is very nice... sometimes, but some others may last just a couple of weeks if you are not lucky. Some dealers can suply you one with swiss movement for quite less than $700, but that you may find by yourself with a little research.
  5. The same watch but a different dealer attitude: WO-MART: You save $200 and are treated as a stupid if your watch has any problem. JOSH-ANDREW: You pay $200 more (plus delivery), so you are treated as a stupid from the beginning.
  6. It is already years I am trying to find what honesty means in our hobby: Sapphire glass: let's say 75% of reps are mineral, even when claimed sapphire. 1:1 Copies: No one single watch is close to that at all. 316 stainless steel: let's say 95% of reps are not. Let not speak about what kind of chromed iron are most of screws. personally hand picked: sure, by the chinese dark guys, directly to your door. Movement serviced: LOL. Funny also it's charged $100 for something they pay $15. Functions: a lot, and many times they stop working after a month. Delivery: you pay $30-40 for what is $18 cost. Price: you are asked $400 for what they pay $230, or $680 for what they pay $300. Crested diamonds: and you obtain beautiful rock crystals, which are not even carved in the shape of diamonds... In stock: an then after payment you wait and wait and wait, because they didn't have it in so many cases. ETA: well... it's been talked too much about this. Superlume: same as previous. AR coated: and many times you get a crystal dyed in its mass. So if you mean we get something that is absolutely not as described, but looks like in our dealers photos, and they just don't simply take our money and scam us.. yes, i agree with you. They are very honest.
  7. I'll say that's a fantastic genuine. Perfect crown, perfect big size date, perfect subdial....
  8. Well, I use a kind of own code in the way I describe my own purchases. I hope it may be of use for some of you or, at least, to contribute to have someone's good ideas: Please, note this is only my personal way to understand my watches. I am not trying to convince anybody. 9. Welcome back to a (hopefully) better new life.
  10. Interesting to see how degrees are taken in consideration just as a way to earn money, and not also as an educational complement for our social attitudes in life. I got an Architect's degree and a Master in Interior Design.
  11. In fact, I am trying to recall when I have ever been concerned about superlume when buying any of my genuines... and it was NEVER.
  12. I think everything will depend in the way you make sport. I have used my reps for years while sporting and had no problem at all with them, but I am not a professional sportman taking things to the limit.
  13. Look, the problem is Andrew and Josh started to have the same attitude as some scammers did long ago, and some of us are trying to voice this is not a honest attitude. Looks, as happened with many other dealers in the past, like they are becoming that kind of "braggy" boy who will end up scaming you. For you, they are god-dealers, as you know them from 1 year ago. I am in this rep game from many years ago, I Know them from their very beginnings, and have seen many dealers of many different colors who had the same process they are having now. And after more than 8 years I am still learning a lot. I personally am not very concerned if they want to ask $500 for a watch that is only worth $250, or if they claim a product is done with Mars stones when it is only Arizona's concrete. Have my own contacts and don't need to use their services from long ago, but I feel upset (and somehow angry) with their attitude, because i suffered myself from this process where as a beginner customer you believe whatever a god-dealer say, even when they are not telling you the truth.
  14. Buy Paul's W-2042 automatic ETA for $149 and you will make one of the best deals in your life.

I bought one of wo-mart's "tripple wrapped" TT subs about 2 years ago, and am very satisfied with it. Honestly, I have no idea if it is single, double or tripple, but it is true the color looks exactly as my real 18k gold pieces, and I didn't find any loose of gold on it. The same with another TT sub I bought River about 7 years ago. It still looks perfect in any of its gold parts.
  16. For me Superlume is not important at all. Most of my time I am always in very well illuminated places (naturally or electrically), and can see perfectly the dial, so I am very few concerned about this.
  17. I see...so then those $1000 submariners from replicacenter or any other scam site must be much better than those we get here, aren't they ?
  18. Show me please one of those new Superocean, Big Bang, Chronomat Evolution or Bell&Ross that are being asked double price by the god-dealers, and that don't need several modifications to be as genuines.
  19. I absolutely disagree with you. All we want to have the best quality, that's why we have: - top Q Omega PO's for $160 - top Q FM Conquistador's for $170 - top Q PAM's for $200 - top Q GST's for $220 - top Q Submariners for $230 - top Q Navitimers for $250 - top Q TAG Link's for $250 - top Q Santos for $260 ... etc. Why suddenly we have to pay 100-150% more for watches with exactly the same quality as those I posted above ?
  20. All you forget Andrew and Josh started just a few years ago competing only with prices.. that was the only way they started getting customers. Then they grew up with their customer's service fame (wich I honestly never found better than anyone's else)... some helping massive reviews (with the help of a few of their mod friends in the old forums) and the myth was created. They think now they are strong enough as to screw us, as the strong guys did when Andrew and josh started. So the story is just repeating again and again. Now Ruby, Trevor, Brand9Avenue... and some other"new" dealers are taking their same products a 40% cheaper (same as Andrew and Josh were doing a few yeas ago), and it is just a matter of time to have several good reviews of these "new" dealers to give them a Rep-God dealer status. And then, in 3-4 years more, we will start again this same threat with some other dealer name and, no worries, there will arise someone new able to give us the same products, with the same service, but a 40% cheaper.
  21. Yes, you are right. Now adapt those prices to Asian market and the real cost is about $28 to $32 gold cost for 14k after jeweller benefit.
  22. It is several months Andrew and josh are in a kind of joint leisure, doing their own group buys (so they get a much better price from manufacturers) but increasing their prices more and more, abusing (in my opinion) of their "trusted, helpful and caring" fame. A pity some other dealers now want to join the clan.
