  1. Just came back from a short holiday with my family. I saw my wife coming out of the saune with her gen Ebel on her wrist. My first reaction als o was neverd ot this again but ...... Everything is still OK like the wodka thing . I won't try it with my 1911 because it's on a leather strap but i'm almost shure it will survive the sauna also. Cats

  4. Guys sorry, after reading my own reply i come to the conclusion that i have to take a break with the family. The Fiddy 1950 is still intact. I'm planning to uncase the movement, which has to be done via the front . What i needed to know who's selling rings that are big enough for the Fiddy. If i don't need to remove the bezel for taking of the crystal i still need the ring to press the bezel inplace. Thanks guys for help , problem is solved Regards, Cats
  5. Thanks guy's i have to be more specific. What i'm looking for is the size of the ring to press the bezel of PAM127 Fiddy into place. The reason why i think i need this ring is. Navigater had this watch for a relume job of the hands and dail and a canion pin fix. He told me that he couldn't do the job because the movement had to be uncased via the front. After inspecting it with a loupe i didn't see anything unusual at the front but noticed that the movement is srwed directly into the groove of the case without any clambs. I don't know if i can get the crystal out without removing the bezel , and i want to press it in completaly , for that reason i need the size of the ring. Some pic's: Regards, Cats Some details of the case EO117/1950 BB1074729

  12. I bought a vintage PAM with a movement which was completally rusted and dried out. I was wondering if i could put a Molnija 3603 or 3602 ( if you don't need the small second hand ) in my vintage case. And are the hands ( made for a Unitas kind of movement ) interchangealbel with the Molnija movement. Regards, Cats

thewightstuff you got a PM Cats
  17. Just received a vintage PAM with a shitty Chinese movement which died during transport. If you inspect the movement with a loupe you can find several gold colored metal particals on the movement , so that might be the problem. I will have to find out if i can fix it or else i will have to find a real vintage movement ( if any one has one for sale shoot me a PM ) When i bought this watch i got some picture including one from the back. OK a pitty that it doesn't have any markings but for 85 euro's landed on your doorstep After inspecting the watch and trying to open it with sticky tape i suddenly pealed of the back. End this is what was underneath it. What a great way to fool the customs Some ore pic's And finally it has the right crown ( pictures of the seller ) and it look perfect on the one i received. Regards, Cats
  18. Just received a vintage PAM with these spring ( screw ) bars. Here is a pictures of them: And here is a drawing with the dimensions: Does anybody know where to buy them. Regards, Cats
  19. My God what a discussion. Again , entry level, value for money , and a nice daily beater. If i wanted a perfect loooking DRSD ( with the right markers , by the way , the markers on my DRSD don't even have lume ) i had to pay at least 4 times more to get a decent one ( like a MBW ). Cats
  20. Slai, makes a big difference now my eyes go over the watch and strap and stick to the spring bar Cats
  21. What i forgot to write that this on came from Narikaa and there is no Seadweller He valve etc text on th eback Cats
  22. Straight answer value for money , of course a few things can be better like the riveted strap but then agian what can you expect for +/- 90 euro's I wear it on a Nato. Cats ( proud owner )
  23. Slai, i never tried it but do you mean that the Davidsen screws have the same dimension as the other reps ? I always thought that they were way different but i will give it a try Cats
  24. Looks great Slai. One thing though. Does this one have the "davidsen lug screw" problem like mine has meaning you can't get the screw totally in the lug. Cats.
