  1. @rkdk I think your prices were very competative. For that reason they were sold in a second. @dadog13 I always sell my reps on local sites were i get i higher price. Nice detail : i e mailed rkdk about the 217 then decided to sel my 183 oin a local forum. Whilst posting it the 217 was already sold So tryinnh to get more money can cost you a good opportunity. Regards, Cats
  2. Great pictures. I would go for the PAM11H. Great looking strap Cats p.s Noob074 ??
  3. Welcome, and read around a lot. Sometimes you realy need the post the question because either the subject is never raized ( hard to believe ) or you just can't find it. Check out de collectors area and ofcourse the reviews by members of several collectors. At last there is a board which reviews deals between members Good luck Cats
  4. It would be much easier if you showed us some pictures. But my first reaction is that the minute hand is touching something. could it be the dial or a dialmarker thats causing the problem. cats
  5. This morning it was kind of slowish but it's back to normal right now Cats
  6. Realy looks a lot better fresher cleaner etc. Notices that the group icons in several threads waren't working but this will be solved i assume. Thanks you did a great job. Regards, Cats
  7. He knows now. i just PMed him on TRC on a thread he posted in December telling us he lost 300 pounds because he lost 15 watches at the UK customs. I asked him if he was trying to gain something back of his losses via TTK Let's see what happens Cats
  8. Good suggestion Deltatahoe It's always a big strugle to find them. ( i use the old pen and paper , and then i find out that my 5 year old boy made a drawing out of it ) Should not be such a big investment regards, Cats
  9. Shame, if anybody knows this guy/girl i suggest name and shame. Personally i don't mind if you BAN him/her Regards, Cats
  10. Welcome aboard Ravage, it's always good to see another Dutchman on the board regards, Cats
  11. This baby is my choice for today Regards, Cats
  12. Indeed is a perfect choice. But didn't i see a post of TTK telling that he might stop for a while or even longer A 47mm golden Radiomir or something in that direction would also do the job. Regards, Cats
  13. Looks like the perfect Fiddy to me. Wear it well and above all enjoy it. regards, Cats
  14. Nice to have a future lumer in the EU. @rolli a cannon pinion fix is simple as long as it fits immediately and if the friction is OK. If you run into friction problems you need a lot of experience and tools to do the job. Regards, Cats
  15. I wouldn't mind the ticking. I have several 6497 , Swiss-Chinese-Swinese what ever, and they all tick , some of them a little bit more then the others. Just let it run and get it serviced when it needs service. Be careful on the strap changing part and for shure with the Davidsen case. The thread in the lugs get stripped within a second. For that reason Davidsen all ways inserts the River springbars. Wear it well Regards, Cats
  16. Great story and nice to read. The last few years i didn't have the opportunity to visit the Far East. But some of my friends will go there in the near future. I will send them a copie of your findings. Regards, Cats
  17. This is a real beauty. Might give it a try and ship a watch across to the US ( if i'm not mistaken thats we The Zigmeister lives ? ) If you ever get sick and tired of this one should me a PM In the mean time wear it well Regards, Cats
  18. I just picked it up and will make some more pictures ( wrist shot ) of my baby. I'm not a lume expert but the color lume is green. Regards, Cats
  19. @sssurfer, thanks for your comments. Regarding the movement i thought it was a funny and cheap solution ( 30 euro's ) . Next time i will have to get a better mirror efect on it. About the lume i will have to ask Tourby if he knows what kind of lume it is or if he is willing to tell me his source since a bought the case and dail and hands from him. Regards, Cats
  20. First of all I want to mention that I didn't do this job all on my own but with the help of a good friend who has hobby called "watch repairing and watch making". And of course the help and advise of several member of RWG. After gathering all the bits and pieces I started "building" my own Radiomir. Now I know how difficult it is when you don't get all your parts from one source or if they aren't compatible with each other. The case and the dial and hands came from Tourby . The movement came from an Ebay seller in the US with a H1 cannon pinion. When we started assembling the watch we found out that 2 pins on the back of the dial aren't positioned on the right place in relation to the movement ( which gave some more headaches in a later faze ) We took a small drill and made the 2 holes a little bit bigger and voila it fitted. Then we found out that we needed a much longer cannon pinion. No problem I thought just order one from Cousins and the problem is fixed. OK let's blame the movement manufacturer who didn't use the standard measurements of the pin where you put the cannon pinion on but I've tried 3 sets and none of them fitted. Now I learned how important a wizard is. He managed to make to hole in the cannon pinion slightly bigger ( with a piece of equipment that they use for fitting ruby's in a movement ). We had to use a lot of force to put the cannon pinion on but with a big bang it did. Then we were faced with the problem that it didn't have enough friction. This was solved with an old not to sharp pincer ( delicate exercise ). Bingo now we could place the hands. either we didn't handle them with care or they we damaged in transport or what ever but they were bent. Using a pair of tweezers would damage them so we used the tooth picks with we flattened for that job. When putting the movement in the case we found out that the movement clamps were to big . OK after 45 minutes a sanding and the use of a Dremel they had the right dimensions. Finally the movement was in the case ,put the stem in and close the back on here is the result. By the way the pictures are made by my friend with a Macro lens. The hair that you see on the 11 o'clock position isn't a hair but a thread of glue from the shiny material that we used on the back of the dial. Fortunately you can't see it with the naked eye. You might think we a lot of words and hours of work for such a piece of crap but I certainly enjoyed it and I like it what we have build, but I might be biased. Regards, Cats OK shoot should i throw it away keep it or ........ What do you think ??
  21. Thanks for all the repsonses. This relay shows the value of a forum, problem sloved within 24 hours SUPER I also thougth a read somewhere a topic of the movement being removed via the front. Babola finally cleared it. Now i will go out to the exibithion and source the proper size of ring for the crystal press assuming i can't press it in manually. Regards, Cats
  22. I want to uncase the movement from my Fiddy. after opening the back I found out that the movement has to be uncased via the front of the watch. I assume I first have to remove the lunette and then the crystal but I don't have a clue because I never did this. Do I have take into account certain things that should know before starting or is it just as simple as I described above ??. BTW I don't have the right size of ring to press the lunette back on the case. Does anybody have a source and/or measurement description for this ring. This might look like an odd question but the watch is with a friend of mine who is on a holiday right now and I can't ask him to do the measuring of the lunette. This Saturday I will visit an exhibition for watch collectors where I might find some tolls the do the job. Regards, Cats
