  1. I'm sorry, but that Pam is just terrible... Sounds like mixed feedback, better steer clear until more information is at hand!
  2. Anyone but me getting a strange urge to cuddle that "Lion" forever?
  3. Those screws don't look too happy if i may say so... Otherwise it looks good! Since it has the chrono it doesn't have the problem of the date window being off!
  4. Hi guys! I stumbled upon the site Silix-Prime.so and they seem to have alot of watches, with good, clear pictures of all of them. They also seem to have watches nobody else has (Like the one i'm looking for; Hub CF 42mm.) Anyone know anything about them? www.silix-prime.so /CS
  5. Hi Guys! I'm working on a little project, and shall be kept a secret for now. I'm looking for automatic movements, that are not total crap that have the same size and fit the same cases as ETA 6497. Thanks, CS
  6. Hi guys! I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a Hub Classic Fusion, but i've heard they have several flaws, and there is yet to be released a version that is verging on super-rep status. Is there a version out with the fixed date-window? Date window is too far to the left, and should be closer to the rehaut, and the "3 index marker should be smaller, since its "normal" position SHOULD be covered by the date window. Gen from Hublots website, and with the (obviously) correct placement. Anyone know if the chrono version is any better? (2nd pic is from Andrew at trusty, the rest of the QC's are found here: http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=279_348&products_id=7748&zenid=d696d9e461e5eecc021676116ba16f5a ) Sorry for the stupidly large image. /CS
  7. Hey guys! I can't seem to find any kind of reliable source, so I am asking here! I'm very interested in getting a SS Daytona, with white or black dial, and wanted to check with you guys where/who has the latest/best version of it, that is closest to the gen! If its Andrew at Trusty or the guys at Perfect Clones! Thanks! /CS
  8. Hi guys! I just found this: http://www.blocket.se/ostergotland/Militarklocka_italiensk_model_3646_45999940.htm?ca=11&w=3 He is selling each watch for about 247$, and he says nothing of them being reps. Reps right? /CS
  9. Sorry for this, but can someone please explain what/who TC, LN and LV are?
  10. The price is not what i'm worried about, as long as its not over 600USD. Sub (As in Submariner.)
  11. Hey guys! I've been mainly a lurker and have been trying to find the best "out of the box" reps, since I don't have access to a workshop in which I can work on reps (Only gens.) and I can't (with any ease) get hold of gen parts to make a franken. So i'm looking for reps that are pretty much spot on to the gen, and I've mainly been looking at Andrews stuff at Trustytime. So, to the subs I delved deeper! http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_7&products_id=1234 Is this, as suggested, the best "Out of the box" sub available? Thanks guys! (Please excuse me for any and all mistakes from my part due to lack of knowledge in this area.) /CS
  12. Which of these two would you yourself recommend; The 386 or the 359, both from Andrew/Trusty
  13. What material are they made of, some kind of composite similarity to ceramic?
  14. Hey guys! I'm falling more and more in love with Pams, but i have a few inquiries before i actually get one! One think i simply hate with Panerai's that have a calender is the magnifier on the crystal. So models like the 386 are kind of more in my taste! Now, to the main questions i need answered: How good is the movement? How accurate is the watch in general to the gen? Where can i find (preferably a gen) deployant clasp that is the same colour as the watch? Lastly, your personal opinions of this watch; is it a "good", "great", "super", or "bad" rep? Link from Trusty! http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=37_51&products_id=10937 Thanks! /CS
  15. Glad midsommar! Just woke up with one hell of a hangover (Its 11.30 in the morning here...) but i've had one of the best evenings of my life! Wish more of you fine blokes could enjoy this celebration!
  16. Hey guys! I was wondering if any of you know where i can get my hands on a (good) rep of the Seamaster Diver, black/blue, does not matter. Being as i have the gen myself, i want to see how the differ in feeling, look and details! CS
  17. The datebox is closer to the middle of the dial on pretty much ALL of the Hub reps, look at the gen and compare it. And then ofcourse there is the tell for almost all but the best reps out there, regardless of brand. Look at the crystal from a very steep angle, almost flat. If you can still see the dial CLEARLY and the rehaut, then you are off to a good start. The clasp can be a tell on many, as is the general finish of the bracelets/bands. (Metal bracelets tend to have sharper edges, and a little too big or too small gaps between the links.) Find out the weight of the gen, and weigh the rep = pretty solid tell. (Gen is heavier. Conclusion, its a rep.
  18. The datebox is closer to the middle of the dial on pretty much ALL of the Hub reps, look at the gen and compare it. Otherwise the overall finish on the sub 400$ mark, they look "cheap" and fake. And then ofcourse there is the tell for almost all but the best reps out there, regardless of brand. 19. Wonderful! Though the forged carbon is awesome, i still prefer the original! Keep up the good work mate!
  20. That would indeed be very helpful, and maybe it can be done with APs, Rollies and Hub? I wouldn't mind at all helping with this project, although i know nothing of programming websites...
  21. That's what we're here for mate!
  22. If getting a high quality rep, remember that it does usually need more care and service than a gen, since the movement is not the same immaculate quality. Some reps i can vouch for are the AP Diver v2/3.5, from andrew (trustytime = ttw888.com) and his AP RO 15300. As for Panerai, i don't own one myself and can't be sure of them. But from what i've seen here, there is an endless amount of PAMs that are so close to the gen, that only a watchmaker who takes it apart would see the difference. The movements are mostly chinese 2824-2 automatic movements, with 25 jewels and running at 28800 bph (Any lower, i'd say steer clear.) For the chronograph movements it is normally an Asian 7750, yet again running at 28800 bph. If you bump the price up slightly, you can get models with swiss movements of both these models instead, which i myself prefer since i feel they are more reliable during service. (Note, they are not entirely swiss quality parts as they may have chinese parts.) There are slight deviations of each of these movements, like the Swiss 7753 (Which is very expensive for reps.) If you double your budget, and are very lucky, you may find a SW 200 movement, which i have only heard the very best of! I hope this helped! If not, then give me a shout and i'll do what i can!
