  1. The 5002 is closest to gen. The 5004 has a complete wrong case back which is pissing me for a while. For the 5002 you only have to do the "full-PR-mod" (open case and slide the PR hand a little bit to full) and buy a good strap from a very good strap maker like Jacob or HKTan. Nothing else needed to change and only an absolute expert can see it is a rep - but also this not from a distance of 1-2 meters... BTW: also the 3777 pilot chrono is extreme close to gen.
  2. Any of the TDs (trusted dealers) can sell you a 5002 or 5004. I prefer Intime.co (Ryan), also Pureti.me (Angus) is a well known rep dealer.
  3. Thank you, now I found him!
  4. The strap is fantastic! Would you tell us the source?!?
  5. 2 date wheels?
  6. Cool strap!
  7. Sorry, no pics at the moment. Maybe I take some. For me the strap looks great, but I got a black one, the green wasn't available at the time I ordered. Shipping was from france and it was fast. Yes, I got mine from rolojack, yes it is very different from the straps that came from the TDs as "standard strap". Rolojack got this strap from a manufacturer in china, it has IWC signs and so it is no real aftermarket strap. If you are looking for some fantastic aftermarket straps: I also got some straps from HKTan and from Jacob, both are "strap artists" IMHO and their work is brilliant. Not cheap and long waiting lists, but worth every euro and day of waiting!
  8. No, it is a rep strap because it has IWC signs. But it is aftermarket because it came without a watch. Look here and understand what I mean.
  9. Not always. I bought an IWC rep strap from a user here in this forum. It is really good. OK, for only double the price you get a fantastic strap from HKTan or Jacob. But it's also double the price...
  10. I tried to read your post... I CAN'T! Please remove this picture from your footer, or I can't concentrate on your posting...
  11. As I also asked in the other forum: normally (unmodified) the ETA-7750 has 25 jewels. I think this is also in A7750. On PerfectClones there is mentioned a new improved 29J version of the A7750 for the PortoChrono with sec@6. Is that true? Is that possibly really a new improved version with additional jewels as bearing for the gears to the sec@6? In most cases this would solve the problem with the sec@6 like Domi did this in his mod.
  12. No, I think it is gen. The datewheel isn't sunken. It's not the serial of the reps and it has a gold-punch (750) on the back which the rep doesn't have.
  13. I have a V1. Incorrect lugs? I read about some users reporting a little gap at the lugs with the bracelet. My 3777 didn't have this gap. Or what do you mean with incorrect lugs? Anyway, I dismounted the bracelet and mounted a 21mm BP leather strap (grey gator with blue stitch, will post pictures the next time).
  14. I read a lot about the AR and the milky crystal. But TBH I really can't see what is meant by that!?! My crystal isn't milky, it is clear. And the light blueish AR is correct because IWC gen AR is a double AR with blue tint on the pilots. Just compare a gen 3777 to the rep AR in natural light (not in the store), ok this is not easy because you need a way to take a gen 3777 out of the store. But I can't see any difference. Good for me, so I don't care about my crystal and my AR!
  15. I wish I could do this also. Only 7000km away from my home - and I love this city! I can't say much about the closeness of the 3717, but all I read about is that it is one of the closest reps in the market. The 3777 is nearly perfect out of the box as I think (if you don't get a crooked triangle). After installing a gen dial and a gen crown you can call it a Super-rep. A gen 79320 on top and even an AD could only check the serial and find out it's a rep. OK, then you payed round about 1500$ for the complete watch. But have a look at the price of the gen...
  16. I also hoped this some weeks ago, tightened the pushers nearly every day from outside. Then suddenly one of my pushers was gone! I was lucky to find it in the living room but the spring I never found again. After some negotiations my TD sourced a spare pusher for me and send it to me. 25$ plus shipping. So you better open the case and secure the pushers from inside with thread lock.
  17. There are issues with the triangle @ 12 on some dials, it is crooked. The pushers fall off and MUST be secured with thread lock. The crown is sharped edged and the IWC-symbol on the crown is much clearer on gens. Some people see issues with the day/date wheels and the AR, but I personally can't see them. OK, the biggest issue is the movement, the 79320/ETA-7750 is much better and smoother. But this can be changed for 400-500$.
  18. I hope I can see this on my own IWC... Some time... :-)
  19. You're right, these dots are too small. But: I think these are old pictures, the actual version of the 5004 delivered should have the correct dots. I didn't recognize this flaw until now because I choose the "better" BP, the 5002.
  20. 1. No. No, it is on the 7 day if the movement is wound up. And it is wound up after short wearing, so working PR is useless. The versions with working PR have some big flaws, the biggest is the wrong position of the PR hands! 2. You can order gen straps from every AD. Beware of the price, it will be around 400-450€! The buckle is never included. Gen buckle is around 200-250€ but the rep buckle is OK for the start. 3. All TDs (here or in other forums) are safe to buy from. There are different versions, indeed. Choose the one with faux PR for 238$ like here. All TDs have this version and it is from the same fab. For ultimate versions you have to mod the watch yourself, e.g. gen dial, gen crown/tube, gen date wheel, gen buckle, gen hands, AR, lume and gen or croc strap from a TD strap maker. That's all you can do, gen movements are nearly unavailable.
  21. I'm trying to get a couple of gen dials for the new IWC PilotChrono 3777. I cannot promise to get some at the moment but I try to figure out how many dials I should try to get. If anyone is interested, PN me. BR
  22. Buy your wife some nice clothing, shoes and a handbag and I'm sure she will accept your next - hmm I'll call it - investment.
  23. You drive me crazy...
  24. Yeah I know. But I think the mechanism of the microadjustment doesn't differ.
  25. The micro adjustment on my bracelet of the 3777 PilotChrono works perfect. Are there really so much differences between the bracelets?
