Mix of new and old, but I think it works. Could be one of my favs. The Athaya dial is money. I aged the hands, left the case stock. Made a vintage strap.

I've really had a hankerin' for a very lightly modded vintage Rollie. Just a real bare bones, inexpensive beater. Took very little time and ended up exactly how I wanted it.
Mods
Lightly buffed crystal with small swirls
Changed polished case to brushed with simple Brillo pad
Baked the hands and dial in oven at 500 for 1.5 hours. It ended up with a nice beige colour on the lume.
Relumed the hands, tinted with extra brown dye to darken lume for vintage look and make it more brittle in order to have lume in hands break apart naturally.
hand made "Peanut" strap
Watch started out like this
After Mods
If your here, you obviously know the Bugatti Veyron, fastest production car on earth right now, deadly expensive and fricken gorgeous. Well, this has to be one of the coolest watch winders I've ever seen.

Had some time and orphaned parts layin' around so I decided to practise my luming skillz. I was also feeling a little creative. Anyway, below is the result.
I have a very nice vintaged case back in the mail as we speak and I agree with you on the crown. Here are the updated pix of the crown.
Nope, it's got solid lugs with a spring bar in between.
Well, this wasn't suppose to be a light Vintage mod. I decided at the start that I wanted this watch to look like it had been thru 4 Tours of Duty, every weather element known to man and then buried with the soldier.
Picked up the watch with a cracked crystal from a member on one of the boards. The crack was somewhat superficial in that it didn't actually reach the surface of the outside or inside crystal. I decided to keep it as it went with the whole look.
Enjoy.
The strap started out life like this...
...and after a lot of work, ended up like this...
Can you be more specific as to what is important to you?
Most B&R's if not all have little or no lume, this is a mod you will need to have done after you buy one if it is important to you.
I've bought 4 B&R's, 2 from Andrew (Trusty Time) and 2 from iOffer and they're all great, never had a problem.
I'm def not a fan of the bling on a guy's watch unless your a famous hip hop artist.
However, that being said to look at it's a nice piece and if your bigger than me then I love it!
