  1. It isn't just Asians that look for a good bargain. However their offers are sometimes ridiculously low, verging on disrespectful. I decline politely and advise them that my asking price isn't negotiable (as I've always priced my items fairly). (BY THE WAY, MY SALES REFERRED TO ABOVE ARE ON ANOTHER FORUM AND UNRELATED TO HOROLOGY)
  2. Nice.........nice..........nice. "Nuff Said !
  3. I'd do the same, both on this as well as other forums that I'm a member of. Once you've had a good transaction with a person of their 'word', placing something on hold for a while shouldn't really matter unless you're desperately in need of $$$ As a matter of fact, there's a member on this forum who's now become a close friend and confidant and who's holding some watches for me whilst I scrape together the funds. The transaction's been delayed on account of a very serious personal problem that's cropped up unexpectedly, and with this very understanding gent at the other end of the world, he hasn't sent me a single 'hurry-up and pay' message. I hope I don't have to keep him waiting any longer than is absolutely necessary. M.R........thank you for your patience my dear friend !!
  4. Didn't know hookers were so cheap over there in the ol' US of A. It isn't fair to the rest of us world citizens when you fellas pay less for everything.......cars, electronics and now wimmen......
  5. This 'un is courtesy of Reg @ Narikaa: Taken whilst driving into work this morning...........excuse the phone cam resolution and 'effect'
  6. Point taken, Mike. However, the purchaser/inquirer is no newbie. He/She's been a member for over 5 and a half years. That's almost (collectively) longer than all of the 'helpful' members (who've pointed out the flaws) have been around these parts. Just sayin'..........
  7. In that case, buy a Citizen or a Seiko or a Casio or whatever.............
  8. Are you fellows serious about your comments on the so-called flaws ? If you want a perfect watch, get the genuine article. You cannot expect perfection from a replica worth one-poofteenth (Aussie slang) of the genuine article. FFS..............grow up ! Besides.........it isn't ethical to post QC pics in an open forum and ask others to pick faults. If you (purchaser) can't see any, then that's all that matters. I'll step off my soapbox now.
  9. They both rip you off. Both firms can debit your credit card and is perhaps safer than allowing them access to your bank account. WU's commission is akin to daylight robbery (works out to be around 10%)
  10. Everybody Down Under (especially Authorised Dealers) refers to the brand as Hoyer (phonetically speaking that is). Russ.
  11. It is a sad time indeed. I lost two of my long-time pets last year. One to a paralysis tick and the other to a brown snake. They say time heals all wounds..............I still hurt. And miss them like hell.
  12. I wouldn't be posting/boasting about that..............
  13. Sand-blasted bezel and auto movement changed over to a manual winding movement. Creamy smooth and keeps good time.
  14. I don't quite understand why the price is higher than the RRP? Can somebody please edumacate me? (See luxury bazaar link in the post above)
  15. And in the dark..................standard lume.
  16. Seiko 5 Sports (genuine) in the daytime.
  17. It's a fake................. Send it to me and I'll make sure that fugly thing never sees the light of day ever again.
  18. Terrible news at an unfortunate time. Wish you and your family the best in these difficult times. I've been there too.................and lived to tell the story !! Keep the faith. Russ.
  19. My 19-year old daily driver: 1994 Eunos 500 V-6 (excuse the phone-cam low-rez pic). Owned it since new..........well overdue for a change me thinks.
  20. Is that a Nativity Scene in the background of the XJS, Mike ?
  21. @fraggle42 I concur with the cultural differences argument/perspective. But..............when it comes to online retail, this argument does wear thin (at least to me). You have to be more competitive if you expect repeat business and some TD's like Reg @ Narikaa, Joshua @ Perfect Clones and Mary & Rochest from Watch International have this down 'pat'.
