No misunderstaning on my part Lello....:-) You do us all a great service providing these new DW and if the old rep ones can be re-printed and help keep your costs down then I am personally happy to help. All the best FGD

Great News Lello ...if spare wheels help and you can re-print ...you can have the ones taken out of my watches...they are of no use once your new wheel is in place......got some 7750 , 7753 for now. Cheers FGD

I am not a big lover of Rolex in general ......but these more "vintage" pieces are really growing on me....this is really great looking watch !!!! Thanks for posting the pics ...Josh may see some of my money yet ...! FGD

We are very fortunate in the West... ..I've seen 4 people on a pushbike which was amazing in it's own right but I just cannot imagine 178 Million people trying travel at the same time.....that's like 3 time the population of UK!!

This is MUCH better than before ...so the momentum is there and this must be credited in it's own right. Who else other than Davidsen is attempting to improve the dials on offer for us and has delivered a huge variety of options that no other maker seems interested in...? This is a business after all and I'd wholly expect to see improvements on offer in the near future ...this is version 4 or 5 of the 201 dial already ..so why not expect 6 or 7? Suppose if ONE gen 201A dial was available for $10000...would you be making the most of the business opportunity these forums represent if you got dial #1 100% correct and sold it for $50....??? Maybe these will not happen if there is insufficient support for this effort...I know from my own limited experience that it does take a cash injection to get any sort of project going ...even the smallest and least complex. Read his Blog and Davidsen is a watch enthusiast ...one of us..but with access the tools to do things we believe we can do better ? Personally I have my doubts on how easy this is to get 100% perfect but have respect for those that put money where there mouth is and try. FGD

Tough call V...that Cali gives the gen 112 a real run for it's money !!!!!

Gen PAM Crowns - No More Requests Being Accepted
fishgodeep replied to Watchmeister's topic in The Panerai Area
"Hurry buy now whilst stocks last and save 33% on Suppliers Reccomended Retail Price".......bit of a mouthfull but the message must have got across :-) Thanks Kruz ...if there was a crown for King of Crowns then it would surely be yours and would have a deep rehaut , triple gasket and 60 teeth! Cheers FGD -
You're welcome - it's a nice watch which ever way you want it - one of Davidsens "out the box" better watches IMHO. The gen 113 has a recessed sub-dial and I don't think any maker has been able to do this yet....which is strange as the rep 172 has a very good recessed sub-dial but that's reps for you ....why sell one perfect watch when you can sell the new and improved versions 1,2,3 etc as well.?? I am just hung up on the H-series movement and case back in general - Swiss or Asian - you only need to know one number to spot a rep .....H0035. Enjoy FGD
-
Looks great Victoria ...nice dial and superdooperlume...but it should be a brushed CG on the H series 113..... I'd prefer to go for the E-series with the PANERAI engraved movement and an E-series case back - then the polished CG is correct and IMHO a much more accurate version all in all. Maybe DSN can make this change if you wish ?? Cheers FGD
-
V looks perfect on that Cali ...and I know how well this hide ages in a short time......just keeps getting better!! FGD
-
All looks good to me ....like to have a good look at that CG ... Davidsen - will these CG's only work with your new case - have you used the smaller CG screws again as these were easily stripped ? Regards FGD

In for the 250/236 dial like a rat up a drainpipe....:-) Cheers FGD

Oh I like that a lot .....the details really matter ......great piece D.....great work Z ....:-) FGD

You can give a man a fish and he will eat fish that day .....teach a man how to fish and he will eat fish every day FGD PS ....if only the same was true for my missus
-
I recently found this seller in a google search - that has an interesting similar product - has the 8 day indicator on the dial xxx.prevailkey.com/list_cp.asp?id=1902 Check out the rest of the stuf - some of the photos look like photoshopped stock gen - but are the same across every brand? FGD
-
If detail is really important then the 112-E is handsdown winner ....if it's price - DSN watch is excellent for the money. Personally I think the 112-E is worth the extra - JF case is worth probably $200 on it's own nowaday and that dial is pretty unique - at least $150+ Doesn't take longe before the value scales balance. Good luck with your purchase/s! FGD

Whoahweewhah...!...that's another absolute beauty ......Ziggy is the way sure. FGD
-
IMHO you've got to be "splitting hairs" to really separate that from a gen ....looks absolutely freakin perfect ....!!!!
-
Got to agree....for $200 you can get a lot of watch - check out the members sales area or watch collector galleries.

Just use thumbs to force the crystal out from the under-side ....a tight fit is a good sign of water resistance As for the Crown - ....try member PAM or look in the for sale section for PALP crowns CG - most of the collectors that sell on these forums can help you A non AR Sapphire is correct for Pre- C series PAM's ....and actually harder to obtain than an AR coated one.....depends which model you want to make Cheers FGD
