  1. Check....the nato is temporary, I'm just waiting for the right bracelet to come along:
  2. That's encouraging to see it on the website. It looks really nice. I'm gonna need to order one pronto.
  3. I appreciate your opinion, however, I beg to differ. I did not pull the stem out. When I wore the watch I had no problem with the stem or setting date/time. I can't disclose a problem it never had while in my possession.

Great pics, and that is one of the nicest dials I've ever seen! Where did you source it?
  5. Here's my current trio. Have mucho love for Tudors!
  6. well done...I marvel at the work you guys do! I can barely change a watch strap
  7. Thank you sir, I may take you up on it. I'm still poking around the net trying to decide what I want to do. I'm actually eyeing a bund strap now, lol.
  8. Mike, looks like 22mm might be the way to go to fill in the spring bar gaps. A really rugged look with the Mesh...I dig it!
  9. woof, that looks great! I typically agree that the mesh bracelet is perfect on an Omega and doesn't seem very Rolex-y, but I recently saw some photos of an old (gen) Submariner with a similar band and somehow aesthetically it worked. I think I'm going to give it a try!
  10. Thanks for the info! Did you put them on a Rolex? If so, how's the fit?
  11. just arrived today...I'm a sucker for a Tudor sub
  12. Yes, but I try to stay away from things that need 'serious' modding and have glaring tells though. I also like to think I have realistic expectations: It's a fake watch, it's only going to be so good. Wear it and enjoy it! TC Sub (with gen insert) and YachtMaster are excellent 'out of the box' watches. I also have zero complaints with the Noob Explorer II and own both the white and black dial version. Probably the best 'budget' Rolex rep out there.
  13. so far, I have my eye on this one, mostly because it has adjustable links: http://www.ebay.com/itm/20mm-SHARK-MESH-BRACELET-OMEGA-Speedmaster-Seamaster-Seiko-Orange-Black-monster-/310713316735?pt=US_Watch_Bands&hash=item4857f4f57f
  14. Have a Tudor Sub on stitched black leather already beautiful GMT by the way...tropical...yummmmmm.
  15. I have two Submariners that are almost identical. One is on a SS bracelet, the other on a nato band. I'm not really digging the nato look, and I recently saw a picture of a 5513 on a shark mesh divers braclet and thought it looked smart. My first stop was Ebay, of course there are a bunch listed. It's almost overwhelming, some look identical (even use the same stock photo) yet vary considerably in price. Before I overpay, or underpay and end up with junk, can somebody recommend me something? Ideally, I'm looking for in the $30-70 range, decent quality, easily adjustable.
  16. *Update* I was able to clean the bracelet. It took a fine scratch remover that I use on my car called Scratch-X for lubricant (just the smallest dab) and a 3M synthetic steel wool pad (0000 fine). I masked the top and bottom of the bracelet with painters tape so only the effected edges were exposed and brushed it until the crud was gone then buffed it with a microfiber cloth. I have to say, it really looked like surface rust to me. I've done my share of crudding up a bracelet and it never looked like this. Had it been dirt/sweat, my finger nail should have been able to get it to budge and a damp cloth with some elbow grease should have removed it.....I'll say the verdict is still out as I continue to wear it.
  17. This is what I'm looking for. Will take your advise and report back. Thanks!
  18. The seller has over 20 positive feedbacks and is generally regarded as 'one of the good guys' around here and a few other places. He didn't mention a thing about bracelet swapping so I'd say that is VERY doubtful. The watch was sold to me exactly as he got it from TC, the only mod being a gen insert. I didn't see anything about cape cod in your other posts. I will give it a try (but first I have to get some).
  19. I bought the watch used of another forum. It was a week old. If I had purchased directly from TC, I'd try to get it exchanged for another. I'm really just looking for advise how to remove the rust (if possible) and also to see if others have run into the same problem.
  20. Ok, pretty bummed...went to wear my beautiful TC Sub yesterday and to my surprise, rust on the bracelet! I've never wore this diving, in the shower, or in the rain. It's been hot and sticky (typical Chicago summer) but I'm very good about wiping down my watches after wearing them. It's been in rotation with a few other watches, none of the others are showing any rust. I can't say enough about the watch otherwise. It's stunning, but this rust is not acceptable. Can anybody offer advise as to how to remove the rust?
  21. nothing fancy or franken...just my bone stock Noob Explorer II. I hate to say it, but this one seems to get more compliments then the more accurate reps in my collection.
  22. great video and collection...hightlight for me was the Rickenbacker 320 with the f-hole though...very cool, and rare! (mid-late 70's I would guess?).
