  1. It is always a pleasure to be able to have the opportunity to take part in the raffles. You put a great deal of work into them and for that we're all incredibly grateful!
  2. This just arrived and decided to throw it on
  3. Love that Longines Gran. A beautifully elegant timepiece
  4. Looks like the automotive fore bearer to all modern super cars. The car that should've been reviled in history rather than the F40. It's the gorgeously stunning 959.
  5. I love Porsches, they're the ultimate Autobahn mile-muncher and incredibly well made. Though I feel I need to back-up the good ol' British brands. None more so than the quintessentially British Aston Martin (I'm sure AJ will back me up here ) One of the most beautiful modern GT cars. Muscular with classic flowing lines;
  6. I think it's the way the light is reflecting (or not reflecting as is the case here) off the Omega symbol. The angle in the second picture is meaning the reflected light from the omega symbol is not reaching the camera. At least that would be my guess. Often a small change in angle can fairly drastically alter the look of some dials.
  7. Love the GSAR. I think the Daynight is almost a duplicate of the Marathon, but slightly larger at 45mm. It's almost a cheaper version of the CSAR. Thanks mate, I'm really loving it. The watch is super comfortable on the wrist and that bracelet is one of the best I've ever had the pleasure to wear. For comfort it's on par with the gen Sinn U1 bracelet.
  8. Wow! Looks like the Sophia Loren of watches!
  9. Thanks AJ, it was $599 plus $50 for postage. It's a cracking watch, well made and a decent size at 45mm. http://www.deepbluewatches.com/da65tau65tr7.html
  10. This just arrived so I decided to change to it
  11. Gorgeous, truly gorgeous. I especially love that fact that the panda dial has the date of the Apollo 11 landing
  12. Great looking watches here! I'm still awaiting the arrival of the two divers that I ordered. The only watch I used to have that could even remotely be called a micro branded diver would be the Marathon JSAR. I know it's not really a micro brand however it'll do for now
  13. Despite the fact that the majority of my watches have a black dial I feel the SOSF looks best in the white/creme dial as others have said.
  14. Thanks Sgt! You're right, they keep recommending such tempting watches and weak old me just keeps falling for them hook-line-and-sinker!
  15. As soon as it arrives I will do I just paid the $279 there via PayPal. Definitely a bargain! Thanks mate! Any idea how long does the delivery takes to good ol' blighty?
  16. Mike thanks to you and Devilseam I just bought the Obris Morgan Explorer with blue dial and brushed finish
  17. You are a genuine Viking then sir, and you could pretend to have been part of the old Nasa Viking programme! You know, I was thinking the same thing....and the worst of it is, that I just bought a Deep Blue DayNight 65 yesterday and now I'm ogling this.....
  18. I believe it has a Miyota 9015 movement which I've heard is a good solid workhorse with a 42 hour power reserve and beats at 28,800bph. Me too Mike, me too Yeah, it looks kinda like a Ball watch with almost the same build quality but at a fraction of the price! Love that side profile, I haven't seen another watch with the same machining on the lugs.
