I'd say leave it that's a beautiful watch and every time you remove the hands and dial you risk damaging something... you should build a new watch from the dial...

you can have a small hand broached and staked... basically resized. only the experienced know how...

DSN no longer has decent hand sets for the 029/063... his hand sets are freakishly bad... you'll have to source old sets. don't know what his issue is but he doesn't like to disclose his substitutions...

indeed... and a Gen bezel probably doesn't help... I wonder if a rep bezel would help... I know some of them are shorter than Gen...

there's got to be a fix for that... not to say your watch aint HOT Maybe you need a thicker crystal gasket?? Is the crystal 3.5mm?

DSN's hands aren't what they use to be... I ordered 2 sets and they are so bad! bad shape and shiny paint... not usable... he used to have the good hands but he doesn't have them anymore... I hate how he just gets whatever and sends it to you... not even worth trying to send back... I have a second 029 but I may be building a franken 023T with the case now... as for the cartel case they are super horrible! I bought the 063 version and it is a joke! the only thing you might be able to salvage would be the bezel... but for almost $400 that's crazy...

all I want is the Ti case... I'll do the rest myself. Feanken 106 time indeed!! As for the 029... I wouldn't get too excited as his 029 dial wasn't great... and his handset he's got is 1000% wrong... I'm looking forward to seeing what DSN comes to market with.

they've been discontinued for a long time... the old school EL 029 is what you want... you'll have to wait for one to come up for sale.

not in production... only other options are Rolex Tropic 24 & 25... they are extremely rare and extremely expensive... I've been working on reproducing some in a small amount but not for mass production... there may be a volume production made by okabum at some point.

yeah I can't use 1.2mm anyway that's too thick! for GMT models especially there would be interference... I would like there to be very little bevel on the edge to give it maximum square-ness...

I've made a lot of custom crown tubes for builds in order to fit various Gen crowns... there are a lot of different sizes. best thing to do is make the outside diameter of the new crown tube larger... large enough that it will fit all applications and then you can specify the drill number that is needed to enlarge the case's hole to fit the new tube. All cases will now be able to get a new tube and anyone can drill this hole relatively easily...

Okabum, you should consider making a contemporary CG for the A-F series... no one makes one... but so many reps could use it! The Gen CGs are getting more and more expensive... you're QC is great and your ability to design and finish product is so fast!! I would buy at least 4 or more CGs A-F series... please do it!

Market value... I've bought 2 Ti CGs before for $450 each, but now guys, mainly on these forums, are buying them at $700! So if someone is willing to pay that much then you might have to also... or just make accept the rep product...

indeed... took me a year and a half to get my Gen 089 dial... had everything else inside of a few months... still looking for that Gen crystal... *sigh*
