  1. Puff Puff, look at watch, and repeat until you forget about the lume and want to eat a box of cereal instead.
  2. Did you puch the button when you were putting the stem in again? On the 7750 you have to press it to get it out and press it to get it in.
  3. Added another post to upload a pic of our Fred. Prayers from my family to yours on this sad day.
  4. Maciek, Our cocker spaniel Fred may be stupid and stinky, but he is a member of our family and would certainly be missed. My family is sorry for your loss.
  5. Nice review with great pictures, thanks for sharing with us.
  6. 1. buy a tube from julesborel in US or Cousins UK 2. buy a gen crown from ebay It's a pretty simple to fix and you will be glad you did it. It is sooo much smoother than the rep crown. Or if your not comfortable attempting it, The Zigmeister.
  7. I wonder what it would look like on a tan leather strap? Similar to the steelfish. I think pretty nice although the purists would stone me. lol.
  8. Your pictures are always first class By-Tor. Looks like an add, how much? lol.
  9. Date font should be more bold. Version2 has that tick @ 10 and a better date.
  10. I doubt the person that answered does know. prolly just an order taker. I had the same experience with Jules Borel and all i asked was for some case clamps for an ETA 2836 cause i cound not find the part number. They told me no case refrence could be found. wtf? If you know exactly what you need and have a part number your all set, if not keep lookin until u find it. lol.
  11. Nice. Looks like another to add to my wish list. I usually have to wait some months to get them, when the prices come down.
  12. It's all good my friend. Like I said, I have a lifetime supply. lol I would not want you to mess up that lovely 1680. Cheers!
  13. Na, go check it out on TZ or vintagerolexforum if you want. Works just fine. Besides, acrylic watch crystals are listed on the back of the container under other uses. Poly watch is good, but for less money I got a lifetime supply of Brasso.
  14. Dang Lanikai your collection is off the hook. Every time I look on here, I see something new strapped to that tatted arm that I want. We have similar taste, but you actually have the watches and I still have a wish list. lol. Do you have a group shot? Great work as always The Zigmeister.
  15. The Zigmeister, you are an amazing person. Thank you. @all Thank you for your support and your help. I wish we were all neighbors so we could go have some beers. This place is great and I am lucky to have you all as friends.
  16. Excellent. I am happy for you. Well, me too if I have the same results.
  17. @porsche356a, thank you my friend. @ Ubi, kids are wonderful, we have 4 and we are DONE! In fact we were done at 3, but nooooooo. Surprise/Surprise. I love her still, but if we have another one of those, I swear I am moving into exile and never to be heard from again.
  18. Thank you freddy. Would you have a parts list or a link to one? I am sure they wont help me with just pictures of what i need. I now notice that I am also missing the brass colored part at the top of the photo too. Dang! What a mess.
  19. Hello my friends, I am afraid there has been an accident at my house. I was changing a date wheel and left my project unfinished on the desk in my room to go see a customer. It seems I did not push it far enough from the edge and my 16month old daughter grabbed the tray I had this in and they are lost. My wife picked up what she could and said I am a dummy stupid and should have known better. I agree with her, but that does not help my problem. Now there are some parts that have been lost on my movement and I come to you begging for help. Would any of you have a dead movement or access to these parts? There are 4 parts total and I would gladly pay for them. The photo is courtesy of Pug's excellent review on how to change the date wheel. I hope he does not mind that I used it as a reference in my post. Would ETA parts be a direct swap for these? My guess is no, but it's only a guess. I guess I could purchase an ETA, but times are tight right now with the US economy and I would like to get this back together without going to that extreme. I thank you in advance for any help that can be provided. Lance Edited to add a 4th missing piece. and to ask if anyone knows what these pieces are called? I took Freddie's advice and looked at JB and see they have many parts for the ETA 7750. I know they are for the date change, but I do not know what they are called. Part numbers would be good too, but I think I have asked for enough favors.
  20. @DuDro, hit the crystal with some Brasso on a soft cloth for a few min. Those scratches on the crystal will disappear. AND, nice crown guards. @Freddie - I know what you mean, but i like them still. My red has the dark markers but for my white 1680 I want bright white and new hands. Minty. I have even thought about puttin some super lume on them. I may like the glow even if not accurate.
  21. That looks GREAT freddy. I love the color on the markers and the dial has a very nice texture. I am with DUDro, more info please.
  22. I am thinking that if you gently push on these, the dial may loosen enough for you to get a razor blade to fit into a crack between the dial and then gently pry it up from the outside working all the way around it MAY come apart without damage. I would try to stay on the outside lip of the dial as none of that will be seem once installed. They are surly two pieces as these holes are not for decoration. A sharp razor blade would slide into a very small crack so you just need it to lift a little bit. Just go slow so you dont slip. Hopefully the glue wont peel up the dial paint when it seperates. Dang, why cant they just sell it with the correct black outer and the grey dial? I am going to have the exact same project in the works soon so I am not offering any advice that I have done already, but not telling you anything that I wont try either. Maybe I should order 2 spare dials just in case. lol. The black dial looks good. If you mess up the gray, atleast you still have a nice combo.
