  1. Wont be long? Hell it's already happened. Big Bang. I will say that the quality (fit/finish) of the new reps have taken a HUGE leap in the right direction. There are some reps out that are amazing quality and that don't come cheap. All the cheap reps are still out there, but everyone want the good chit. Me included. If you buy something and like it, then it was worth what you pay for it. I usually just wait until the feeding frenzy with the new items calm down then make my purchase. Once everyone has bought the newest item and sales slow for the dealers, the prices always come down. It's hard to wait sometimes, but being married w 4 children, I do not have a choice.
  2. Pug, my hard drive thanks you. I am such a picture [censored]. I appreciate that link BIG TIME. Toad, thanks for the post. Great job.
  3. Wasnt there a post on here about Clark's getting a T19 with the same quality as the T39? I have not seen them on the bay, but I am curious to know if anyone has seen/tried them.
  4. If it comes form RC Tritec it's all the same. Super. If it's the kit sold by watch supply houses, it's not as good. AF something another. Edited to add that The Zigmeister had a review on both, when search feature comes back maybe you can find it.
  5. I believe it was Rocket754 who always set his watches on something nice back in the old days. What was it, beaver pelt I believe.
  6. Either way Gen or not, that is a great looking dial and would fool the hell out of me in a case.
  7. I am far from an expert but, that dimple @ 3 on the side of the dial says to me that it's been redone. BUT as far as I know gen PAM dials may have this so I could be very wrong as I have never seen one that close out of the case. It looks very good though and I want one too.
  8. i mistakenly checked I agree instead of thanks on the rating. sorry I have never done anything with this gentleman, but i appreciate the info.
  9. Hi Manuel. Looks like you had a great time. I am jealous for real. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us. If I could give you two gold stars I would. AND Stop teasing, you know that furry car was YOURS.
  10. I always wear this and no one says chit about my reps!
  11. Well there you go. That should keep you busy and help spend your money. Thanks to Pug.
  12. Dayum thats a large chunk of $ for a 1680. A lot has happened in the last 5/10 years. When I think the market is too high, it gets higher.
  13. Q would know, so there you are.
  14. I was under the impression that the MBW sub case was a 5513 design. That is why the 1680 dials and 127 crystals dont fit without some modification. I do not know this to be a fact, but it is one of those things I remeber reading at some point. I do know the 1680 date dials are aprox. 1mm too big. I THINK the no dates are smaller diameter so they would fit w/o modification. I am not saying yes for sure, so dont take that to the bank just yet.
  15. Sweet. Looks like you have everything covered. Nice job. Can't wait to see the finished product. I like the old crown better than the new trip lock. Just my opinion. I have been looking for a decent tube for the old style crown forever.
  16. I showed it to my wife when I first saw it in a magazine, and she hated it. Said I was a dummy stupid for wanting to buy a new watch that was rusted. I told her it was made from steel off the Titanic and she started to tell me how much she loves that movie bla bla Oh Jack bla bla bla. I on the other hand think it's very cool and would be a great conversation piece for fellow watch nerds. I would buy a rep of it for sure.
  17. skool, I just laughed so loud people stared. elegant and tasteful indeed.
  18. Looks good Kruzer. You always have top notch watches. I like the idea of removing the swiss made. It looks better that to have it half missing. Great work as usual Mr. The Zigmeister.
  19. Cool. Good information to know, thanks. I have not seen this, so the 28xx movements in the round plastic holders that state they are new, are complete BS.
