  1. looks good. Wear it well.
  2. Do you have a picture of the back side of the dial?
  3. Oh. Yea, what he said. sorry. I do remember a how to tighten the bezel post that covered exactly what rodwc said to do. I will search too.
  4. One day me, a cape cod, and a rose gold plated VC sat down and had a little chat. Long story short it ended with me buying another rep. I wash the replacement with soap & water and try to ignore the little scratches. narikaa would know, so I would take his advice.
  5. @jdavis Wrong. been there done that. The same razor blade that seperates the G&S seperates the epoxy.
  6. I agree with Rod. Pull the spring and make it longer, that shoudl tighten it up. Thanks again. Now the bezel on my homage sub will click again. Rod, you da man and I wont forget your kindness.
  7. There is no easy way. It is a major pain in the a$$. I have left both my MBWs at a point that is good enough, but I am still not 100% happy. Once the window is magnified under the cyclops, any misalignment is obvious. Out of 31 days, I would say 25 or so are nice, I wear a different watch on the bad days. I would recommend a 30 min epoxy. I need all the time I can get. Sand the old date disk to the metal if you can since you will be making it thicker, you will need the extra clearance. Good luck!
  8. [quote I have spent over $5k with this seller in the last two years... Ships incredibly fast and ALWAYS exactly as described!
  9. Now thats nice. great pictures too. Nice job and congrats on a fine PAM.
  10. I like it. Any idea what the $ for the SS will be?
  11. Excellent. Very impressive collection. I need a PVD Panerai. What am I waiting on?
  12. If you bought the gen Tropic, you could always sell it. Down the road it will be worth more than you paid for it.
  13. Years ago someone gave me a gift, a gold sub from canal street that was chrome plated brass, maxi dial, and it had those same crown guards. Maybe this watch was the base for these new Submariners. That watch is now accuratly just as fugly as the gen. Lucky me.
  14. Great picture. I wish I could take close ups like that. Indeed, a nice wallpaper.
  15. http://babelfish.altavista.com/ may help
  16. Tell them it's a rep then smash them in the face with it. I would only take it off my wrist if I knew I was going to tell them it's a rep. I would not let a stranger hold $4k dollars and I wont let a stranger hold my watch. Seriously, 99% of people even if they own the gen would not be able to tell a difference. It's just the serious collectors and watch nerds like us that make a big deal out of it with images blown up to supersize as an aid. On the wrist, good luck to them.
  17. Very nice. You did great work. I agree about the cubic works overlay. That one process has aged me 5 years on my 1680 rep. It is a total pain in the a$$. On any given day, I can look at it and want to open itup and start over. I know it's just because we are picky about small details, but damn! This is not an easy thing to do.
  18. Rut Rho! That would explaine why they dont make it black from the factory. Chit.
  19. Very nice display Stephane. Thumbs up to you. Thank you for sharing with us.
