Suggest you buy a MBW such as a great white SD. Send it out to be modded lightly.....new insert and pearl, trim the CG, drill out the lug holes, new crystal, maybe a gen crown and tube. Beautiful. I have MBW I bought from TTK that are just gorgeous....great white SD and a 1680 single red. Both modded and so nice. The cartel versions are crap in comparison.

Explorer I Any advice on best Explorer I 39mm?
perry563 replied to Pannyman04's topic in The Rolex Area
Puretime just listed a new exp 1 and it looks like the best so far. -
I placed my order. However looking at the video of this rep and comparing it to the gen.....what does everyone think about the rehaut? Either it's way too thin OR the crystal on the gen hides the true shape of the gen rehaut whereas the rep crystal being the wrong shape does not hide the rehaut. I'd like to hear your thoughts. Thin rehaut was something you would see on many rep Rolex subs back 5 or so years ago. It was the major tell for a long time in terms of rep Rolexs.

Is this the KW or Z maker watch?

I've a huge collection of nice rep Pams and I've gone and bought straps for most all f them replacing the typically cheap looking rep straps. I don't like the Watch Boys selections....all off the shelf type bands. I found Malio Straps to provide very high quality hand made straps custom made. Malio will walk you through how to size and what strap looks best on which Pam. His Asso strap for 100 bucks is fantastic and his 79 strap is the only choice for a 127 or 372. Tell him Perry sent you!

I don't trust the dealers in that regard. I've been told recently that all the Swiss eta movements are old and dirty at the very least. The one in my Ti PO also was a mish mash of parts. He recommends always getting the Asian eta clone movement since they are always new.

Just got the NY edition this morning. The watch definitely takes Pam reps to a higher level of quality. The entire case is buffed to a flawless mirror finish, beautiful CG perfectly brushed. Dial is magnificent as is the crystal. Wish I could post pictures but all I can do is say it's the best Pam rep I've ever owned. Possibly the finest rep period I ever owned as well.

I had a watchsmith look at my ti po. They found the movement to be old and used. No way was it new. After a service and a few new parts it should be good to go.

Planet Ocean Ceramic 45.5mm from Trusty Time....
perry563 replied to Obiwan76's topic in The Omega Area
The liquid metal titanium PO with blue dial and bezel came out in 2011 as a 45.5 mm watch. -
I have the blue version on its way from Trusty. However......there have been 3-4 who have stated that the bezel numbers were fading after only a short time period. If I had known this I would have never ordered the watch. If this is even the remotest of possibilities why would anyone buy the watch? Once faded the watch cant be worn. Why is this not being made more of an issue with the dealers?

45mm PO QC Pics from Andrew...How do they look?

What's up with the bezel fade issue...is it a real problem? The watch is worthless and unwearable if it's bezel numbers fade away! -

I saw a review of the gen titanium blue ceramic and it had the "liquid metal" inscription on its back. Is this the only version where its correct? I have one on its way to me from Trusty..he says up and down its a v2 and it has "liquid metal" on its back. -
I bought a h factory 264n and it arrived that way. When I looked at the wc pics I could see it was missing and never noticed! So much for repwatch qc. The dealer sent me a new lever and pin and that pin fell out! After looking for an hour I found it and luckily so as I got the "it's not in stock" comeback when I asked for another replacement. I ended up gliding the pin in since it felt falling out.

Suggest you avoid these low end reps. look on Puretimes web site once it's up and running again and choose any of the Noob Pams he sells. They are all first rate watches. You will finds a GMT but probably not with a working PR.

Pam 26k - should I go for noob or h-factory?
perry563 replied to spikeout2's topic in The Panerai Area
Noob seems to have an issue with their DLC process. Everything they sell....026 and 360 are close to jet black. H factory seems to have more control over their DLC color. I have the h factory 360 and it's case color is so much better than the noob. My noob 026 is so dark it looks fake from across the room. -

Noob....but the case color is too dark. -
My Head is Going to Explode - Sub Question - Help me work this out
perry563 replied to Mardo's topic in The Rolex Area
The latest subc from are the best. The TC subs are the best non subc types. Nothing really is as good. BK is in second place. -
Rolex 1665 GWSD - My Franken MBW - Available for rotation again!
perry563 replied to Mapman57's topic in The Rolex Area
I would suggest bending the end links a bit so that the end link tips sit below the case edge. -
Can you guess what's coming to live me soon? The Names Bond......
perry563 replied to denimhead's topic in The Rolex Area
Shouldn't the Bond sub have a plain bezel? (no second markers) -
I see that my new noob 243 stops running. I wore it for only the third time several days ago and it told great time for 24 hours. Then I noticed it had stopped. I did everything I could for 2 hour to get it to run again...shook it to spin the rotor, wound it with the crown, tapped the case. It would run for a min or two and then stop. Finally I got it to run and layed it face up on my watch box...been running strong and on time since. What could be the issue?

I own the latest H factory 360 and was hopeful of a near perfect 360 from the noob factory. I am disappointed in the noob initial offering....case color looks too dark and some obvious dial issues. The new latest Kuvarsic offering looks very good but have not seen a review. Which of the three is the better closer to gen watch?
-
Put each on a BOND nato strap. I would prefer the version that has a two line dial without indexes on the bezel....a true Dr No look!
-
Noob version is now out. Case looks a bit dark and the dial font a tad too thick with a messed up 3. Right now I am sticking with my latest H factory version.
