And since I'm a little toddler compared to some of you my choice is :
168000 1987
or... If I would like to attract attention, which I don't;
6265 1987

@rolojackSweeeet!
How much would a modded Cartel 5512/5513 case cost you to make available to the masses?
-
Well done with the heat treatment..
But it is missing a pearl imho to be "perfect". Also... Grab a Timezone Deluxe NATO. Closest to Omega 300 USD-natos so far

Hi admins/moderators,
I started a support ticket about a week ago, but haven't gotten any response.
I got 2 mail about renewing my membership, but when I finally got to it, it's was impossible to pay. So, now I can't do anything.
Could someone please look into it?
Order #524
Order placed 15 February
Thx alot,

Have you considered TCs parts for the 16600?

Awesomeness! Which hands did you use?

Nice dial !
Do you still want one from me ?
Hahaha, thanks mate! Note so much that I intend to use it right now, to be honest I'm curious to see the results irl.
I'll most likely pass it on to a member in need when I'm done studying it..

You think the CWP one is better?
That's the impression I've got after reading a couple of 5513-build threads here on RWG. I think @jackflashmade some magic with a Cartel 5513. Maybe he can chime in...

Well done! I'm also a bit torn wether to use the Clark t19 superdome I have or to go "all the way" with the Classicwatchparts T19. 50 USD for a bit of acrylic plastic is still 50 USD for plastic. Hmm..

This is an awesome read! Brings tears to my eyes. I want more of the blowtorch story.
Glad that you like it, 2 steps forward 1 step back, from start to finish
I've met 3 times i wanted to give up:
1) When redoing the lugs to be uniform I accidently made 2 dips, that took almost 20 hs manual work with the dremel/sanding strips to hide, and they're still there but hard to notice
2) The bezel. I don't know how many hs before going to be I've been filing and sanding, and filing and sanding.. Since I wanted the bezel to get a brassy finish, I gave it a go with the blowtorch. Done it before on all sorts of stuff. I was however struck by the oh-no-second when I cooled the torched bezel under cold water from the tap. Didn't give it much though before trying it on the watch, realising that the "tight" fit, was not completely loose. I have a new bezel coming in, I guess I just have to brush myself off and try again. Sad, since I was really-really satisfied with it.
3) The bezel insert... Early I made the mistake of brushing the triangle with 1200-grit paper lightly scratching the insert. I couldn't let it go, so I decided to sand down the whole insert... Which took a while to get it good, what then happens, when finally done, it snaps on me when cementing it to the insert. Just order a new one from Aliexpress, and redo.

I think a Cartel-based 1680 will be coming up...
Maybe a CWP T-39, a vietnam tropic dial, add a MBW Triplock-crown

Here's the WSO 580 endlink
Considering I'm going to be unortodox, I thought that I'd add WSO 580-endlinks and a modern Glidelock-clasp instead of the 93150-clasp, considering the solid midlinks on the Cartel-bracelet, would this work? Any ideas?
(I like solid midlinks and the flexibility that the Glidelock adds...)

Wow !
Dial source ?
I'm going for a worn, but not completely "destroyed" look (the hands look like crap, but they need polishing, I added some tinted varnish on top of the lume, looks like World War VII currently)
It's from dung_chrono on eBay.
This baby is heading my way too:

Nice I wonder if you can polish it a bit to look shiny

Already done... Hard to capture in picture though...
Looks exactly like the one on the original. Important to respect drying times of about 48hs for enamel paint. Otherwise, acetone, and redo...

I think it's a dial made by the one that must not be named. If you don't know someone who knows him, let it be.
