  1. Well I got up this morning and looked in the mirror and said "Hey I know that guy!" "And look he's wearing a rep" Then I said "Handsome looking devil too....." Ken
  2. Hi and welcome I think you will find us generally more welcoming that the chap above me. Ken
  3. Hike wins Maybe I should do a 'Life in Australia' thread. I could show you 7 of the top 10 most deadly snakes in the world, big old saltwater croc's and every colour of shark other than purple. But hey you already know we're a big friendly country. Ken
  4. If he freely admitted to all those reps why not ask him straight out if he belonged to any replica forums? Ken

Hey it can track a Faberge' egg,,,,yeah watching for the 20th time too. Ken
  6. Well got the wife's car sorted last night, nothing flash... I came within a whisker of pulling the trigger on a Beemer for myself last night too but as it was an auction and I had no opportunity to check it out first sanity prevailed. Ken
  7. Just to be on the safe side.... Bergies warn that their bags are NOT edible....thank you Ken
  8. Number one is that you and your family are safe, all other possession can be replaced with time. Everyone will understand that you can't devote as much time to us whilst your life is still in turmoil but know that we all wish you Gods speed in getting yourself settled again. Ken
  9. Become a part of the community and you will find there are people here that can answer all of your watch (rep and gen) related questions. Ken
  10. And now a word from the Admin team.... Hello and welcome to RWG At the end of the day the message that is being given is to spend a little time and get involved with the community before rushing out and buying a watch. What you learn will make your eventual choice just so much sweeter. Ken
  11. Yeah if you really sit down and think about it the job becomes very hard, especially with Rolex and Panerai. But then as others have pointed out Andreww has always been my first thought when it comes to Breit and what about By-Tor for Omega too? And lets not forget that BT is our current Pepsi expert as well. No offence to TeeJay but Ubi has also built some mighty fine Tudors Nanuq is the easiest to deal with IMO, take him out of the pool of Rolex experts and give him Doxa. Ken
  12. I wish We have been fully comp with RACV for many years and we still ended up about 3K down with the other parties admitting fault. Ken
  13. No...and to be fair neither was deemed her fault. But you know how it is, us men can picture ourselves in the same position and know we could have avoided the smash. Ken
  14. At this point of time I don't drive anything. My wife wrote off both...yes I said both...our cars. Hoping to get 2 new cars over the next couple of weeks. Ken
  15. Hi our administrator is called 'Admin'...funny that ...send him a PM and he will get back to you. Ken
  16. Hey R can't give you anything firm yet but there is a strong possibility that we will be able to fly up for your Birthday. Will have the family so there will be time to catch up with CS too. Ken
  17. Every blessing to you and your wife in this difficult time. Don't push yourself with work but take time to heal your heart as well as soul. One trap with long illnesses is you can find yourself remembering the loved one as an invalid, you therefore need to try and remember the good times and cherish those thoughts. Ken
  18. It's a shame when I see these threads, it's like some rep watch God has randomly picked a member and just kept hitting the smite button. If members didn't write of these probs I simply wouldn't know of them, I have over 20 watches (none of which have ever seen a winder) that sit in my watchbox for Months on end and yet I can rock up and give any one of them a shake or a wind and they are ticking away like new. And yes that also includes the El Cheapo's and the 'second hand came half way around the world' watches. Ken
  19. Australia....so it's not likely to be anytime soon. Ken
  20. I would love to visit Scotland one day to visit a good friend who lives, and I kid you not, 'On the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond' Ken
  21. Speaking Mandarin (as Drulee points out) would be an absolute bonus although not as critical as a few years ago, many young Chinese are now coming out of Uni with a very good working knowledge of English and companies that deal with the West are snapping them up as sales reps. My advice is to go to one of the trade gateway sites (D.H.Gate.com for instance), there are very many of these and each gives you access to hundreds if not thousands of sellers. You will first need a working idea of what you are in search for as general browsing of these sites will have you lost in hyperspace for weeks. Once you find a seller that interests you, do not contact them on the trade site, instead follow the trail back to their home (this may require a fair bit of Googling), this way you get to see first hand if they are a large manufacturing group (best option) or a mum & dad tin can alley seller. This is not an easy task, it can take many months of dedicated searching to find what you want, but then you might get lucky and stumble on your best option within a week. It is damn hard work to find the right people and understanding the Chinese midset can be a huge benefit but if you do set out like I say you will start to get how they think within the first week. Ken
  22. This is why they ask you to carry falfa beans in your pocket. So the bears can get some vitamins with their protein. Ken
  23. I had to laugh as this brought back memories. When I was at school I had an engineering teacher who always said "When the job sucks get a bastard to do it" Glad it all went well for you B Ken
  24. Well if I have just won $500 million the 1.7Mil for this little baby is a drop in the ocean.. Ken
  25. One thing Mr. Hayek had over most of us, he lived his dream. Great man, so sad passing. Ken
