  1. I bought a Yuki one some time ago and was very disappointed with it. Poor clasp stamping and the fact that it doesn't accept 2mm spring bars for the price they ask, was a big let down, I sold it the next day Sent from my iPhong using a rep app

  11. true, I rarely got any answer when I posted a technical question, they are mostly a bunch of guys with a lot of disposable income that are trying hard to get their peers approval. I hate those "investments" threads, why they can't buy a watch because they like it and enjoy it????? It's all about what the other guys are going to think of their potential new watch before "they pull the trigger" They hate the rep guys but they would be surprised and humbled if they realized how much passion and knowledge some of you guys have.... I just read those forum out of boredom most of the time, and the prices on VRM are way inflated. Not to mention the GUI of the website that is so annoying and not user friendly at all, 1992 internet style....
  12. I am speechless What a masterpiece Sent from my iPhong using a rep app
  13. The gen orange hand has a specific shape and profile that aftermarket ones fail to replicate.

  15. You need a gen insert to go with it Sent from my iPhong using a rep app
  16. I'm still trying to find the correct tube and crown and then I will have to find a modder for case reshaping and aging Sent from my iPhong using a rep app
  17. Here some pictures for you guys. This is so far what I've gathered: Gen Service Luminova Dial and hands Gen Bezel Gen hesalite Tropic 116 Gen 1575 inside my Phong based 6K Superfranken 1675 that I'm going to part out and possibly resell the PCG case, gen dial and gen insert and gen 1969 Jubilee bracelet.
  18. would this crown/tube combo work? Can I still use the winding stem that goes in the 1575 GMT movement with the 1675 style 5.3mm crown or do I need to source a different one? thank you so much for all your help
  19. So, I've started to collect the parts for my 1655 "Freccione", so far I have: Gen Service Dial, Gen Service Hands, Gen MK IV bezel, Gen 1575 GMT movement. Gen old style NOS Tropic 116 Still on the shopping list: Phong's 1655 Mid case + case back Gen 6mm winding crown + tube Gen Bracelet, either 78360, 62510H, 93510 (I'm still deciding although I'm leaning toward the "D link" jubilee) I need to know which 6mm winding crown should I buy. I know that the1655 uses a men's Datejust 6mm crown as opposed to the 1675 5.3mm crown. Has anyone got the correct Rolex part number for the crown + tube? thank you Max
  20. Anyone can suggest a modder for this build? thank you guys!
  21. I was checking the several dial variations and the one I found for sale is actually a Mk7 not a Mk IV like the seller stated.
  22. Yes, this hobby can become a money pit.... and I have hobby funding policy agreement with my better half that I cannot circumvent To save money I would have to use the gmt 1575 movement , they aren't easy to find and they are expensive as you said and that alone would save $ and time. I have an extra tropic 116 still sealed too. that I could use, On top of that I would need a master modder in US to realistically age the case and put the watch together and water proof it. I don't have enough experience to attempt messing with it myself especially with that kind of money involved. I have other Rolex parts that I could sell to provide the extra cash to buy the dial, hands and bezel for the 1655. I could sell a beautiful Rolex Cal. 618 that I bought a year ago for a Radiomir project that never took off because of the size of the case, I have a wrist that doesn't look good with a Panerai strapped on it although I love the design and look of it.
