  1. Congrats on your child. Best wishes. At the gym with a 1016
  2. I mistakenly left negative for rolojack.
  3. Sorry for creating unnecessary work for you guys. I was one of the culprits to accidentally leave negative feedback...it defaults to negative now and I foolishly missed it when proofing my post. I hope it can be resolved as Rolo Jack is a great member and I feel bad about putting a red mark on his profile. I will kick my own *** here in a minute.
  4. Never been an "AP" guy, but that blue dial with blue strap is a stunner. Beautiful watch my friend.
  5. I will give you 2000 for it right now:)
  6. Tell me about it brother. My wife and I were in Seattle just a few years ago and were walking around downtown and went into a little antique/jewelry store and they had a decent 72 1675 I could have bought for $3800 cash. It was no show piece, but a nice watch in good running order with a really good fat font faded insert. We left to go have dinner and my wife asked me at least 3 times, are you sure you don't want to go back and buy that watch, you will regret not grabbing it...OH BOY do I regret it. I think the more common 70's models (GMT's and Subs) will keep appreciating in price so I think even at the higher cost today it is still a decent investment that can be worn. I keep going back and forth on what to get next. The "one" or "two" will show themselves at some point. I guess I will know for sure when I see it.
  7. Thanks, Lol, casual day. One of those tough days at the office. Playing golf with some customers this afternoon.
  8. Yes Sir, one will definitely be gilt. Maybe both[emoji50]
  9. Thanks guys. I do like it a lot and dig the seller. CC is right he is a great guy to deal with. Still after the elusive birth year piece, but have enough in my fund for this and a birth year 5513 when one pops up. Either that or go for one watch--somewhat ultra rare vintage piece. Knowing myself and the way I flip pieces probably do the 2 watch route. Oh and I want one modern watch too...I am hopeless. Probably just stick with this store as he has new pieces every day and I trust him.
  10. Really like this dial and hands. Also like the silver date disk. Really planned on something older, but giving this some serious thought. At some point these 70's models will be the next to appreciate in value, especially one with a rare dial. What do you guys think? http://www.hqmilton.com/watches/1977-rolex-gmt-1675-radial-dial
  11. What a deal at 6999. Honestly I would not wear the gen 300k version if someone gave it to me....I get that is a mechanical marvel but still fugly.
  12. Lol, who would have guessed. Just slap the [censored] out of it and it will work.
  13. OK, good luck with the work. If nothing else you will learn something. I tried to do some work on a couple pieces and learned I was better off sending that work out to Matt....just kidding. I keep working on some cheapies I have for practice and eventually I will be able to do more stuff. I have acquired more tools so when winter comes I will attempt to do a complete "cheap" build. I enjoy it just not very good at it yet.
  14. No one has asked so I will. Did you try winding it with the crown to see if you can get the movement going? I have had some of the clone movements not work with auto function (wrist movement) but they would wind and run via a good 25 or so twists on the crown.
  15. I think I have an extra link for a vintage gen jubilee in my watch box. Be happy to send it to you. Pm me your address and I will send it out. Oops just realized you said folded, not sure it will work. I will grab a pic.
