  1. Thanks so much for the advice. How do you flatten the pin?
  2. I picked up a DSN 127 a while back and I accidently dropped it on the floor. While the case and movement was fine, it put a small dent on the CG. I ordered one from DSN to replace it but when it arrived, it did not fit!! I thought it would be the same especially since I bought the watch from him. The screw holes did not line up correctly. Anyhow, I just ate the crow. I need a replacement CG and want to know if you guys have any suggestions for a dealer I can try. This watch has gotten zero wrist time since I am kinda anal about the dented CG. I don't know if I can perhaps fix it somehow with a dremel, sandpaper or something? Here are some pics. Thanks for the help guys.
  3. I wonder if these movements will be available to purchase separately? That would the real bomb
  4. Agreed!!! This will add a whole new era to reps.
  5. It still does look much better than the previous versions but there are still some flaws. Here is my gen Daylight 251 for comparison.
  6. Changed the satellite to an adult channel and could't focus on the action because I was too distracted by the watches that were being worn. Am I the only one with this problem? I took some time to put this together to tell you what I am talking about.
  7. The date wheel while close, is still not accurate. You do need to swap the datewheels for eta ones. Here is mine.
  8. Gen IWC Aquatimer I just picked up.
  9. Nice to see you too Ken. It's been so busy at work and now I finally have a chance to pop in once in a while I picked up an IWC Aquatimer Chrono too and will post some pics tomorrow. I tried to find a Wyler but could find one
  10. For those of you who haven't been down to the Caribbean, it is a watch lover's haven. Virtually any luxury brand of watch you are looking for will be there. I came across this awesome watch store in St. Marteen and they had a great Panerai display. They had a nice collection of Marina, submersibles and Radiomirs. I wanted to buy something that I didn't have in my rep collection so I opted for the PAM 251. I really could not find a really accurate rep of this and to modify it properly would be painstaking. I got a fantastic price on it and bit the bullet. All I can say is that I love it!! PANERAI PAM 251 DAYLIGHT The watch was brand new in a box that just arrived on shipment. It comes in the standard wooden box with a lint free cleaning cloth. Included is the rubber case protector, screwdriver, strap removal tool and rubber strap. Strikingly beautiful There is definitely a difference in feel of a solid 316L case and deployant buckle. There is an innovative button located on the case by the lugs that releases the strap with the provided tool. Caseback is ultra smooth and engraving is very crisp. The anti-reflective coating is clear and very effective. No blue tint whatsoever. I viewed most of the collection at the store and there were no Panerai that had colored tint of any kind. I asked the salesperson and he mentioned that there were quite a few PAMs that had AR tint that ranged from blue to purplish but was quite subtle and not strong. Can't understand why the rep crownguards don't seem to tighten well sometimes? Well, this tiny roller wheel on the lever is why. And of course the lume shot. I must say that The Zigmeister does a fantastic job at reluming and would even rival the gens. I hope you enjoyed my mini review
  11. Wearing 1 of 2 beauties I picked up.
  12. It just occured to me that the design of the lugs is just like the AP. I am going to try the hornback strap when I get home.
  13. I don't see why not. That's actually a great idea!! I'm gonna try that. Got about 20 straps kickin' around.
  14. I used some crazy glue to hold the strap together, lol. It seemed to work pretty good but will hold off wearing it until I get my replacement strap. Here is a wristie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqYBOA_qxxs
  15. As indicated, the rubber strap is torn at the lugs and I am waiting for Andrew to ship me a replacement. I will try to Crazy Glue it together and see if I can keep it together for a wristie.
  16. I know that this is a fantasy watch but man, it looks so gorgeous. I saw this on Trusty's site and I kept going back to it. I decided to bite the bullet and ordered it. Once again another great transaction from Andrew. One note though.... The watch was wrapped really tight in bubble wrap and as a result, the rubber strap was torn right from the lugs. I notified Andrew immediately and he was very quick to respond and offered to send me a new strap. Great service as always. Instead of doing a bunch of pics like I usually do, I decided to take a quick video of the tourbillon movement. Pictures would just not do it justice. It is absolutely striking and I would highly recommend this to anyone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4Jrj7oappE
  17. I started a thread just above that had been stickied quite a while back ago. I fell victim to these thugs and unfortunately, many of us have also. I am please to say that the bluefakes umbrella has collapsed. The US District Courts have seized the main sites and are slowing closing all of them. Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Tiffany were awarded a $1,000,000 judgement against the main operator of the umbrella. Details can simply be found at My link. I am really happy that some justice has finally prevailed and these rip-off artists stopped. I know that there are many more of them out there, but one of the largest on the net being shut down makes me extremely happy that some justice has been served.
  18. Mine remains unchanged. She isn't saying "do you wan't a Franck Muller".
  19. Thanks for the hook-up bud. I'll try it out
  20. Thought that was a real photo for a moment there, wow. True landscape and wildlife artists are getting more rare. Nice piece.
