  1. We don't know of all the closed door conversations that corporations have involving price fixing, and I am sure we are all victims of it in common goods we purchase. I have had experiences both good and bad with Andrew, but in the end he made things right. I had a nice chat with Andrew once and he told me that him and Josh supply most of the gen watches to the factory for replication. So if you look at the number of items on their sites that state "made from genuine", they have contributed a great deal of money to help produce the nice reps we wear today. We do not have access to the back doors of the rep world to see how the factories, distribution or dealers truely operate. I believe that Josh and Andrew hold a lot of weight when it comes to the factories and have great influence to the design, pricing and availability of the reps. Do I agree with the alleged price fixing? No I don't, but I don't have all the pure facts behind the scenes. If you don't agree with their practices, then don't buy from them. We still have ablilty to purchase from many other fine dealers available to us. I like buying from A&J because of their ease of purchase with credit card and their massive selection of goods. I have always known of their prices to be a bit higher, but I don't mind because of my purchasing motives. A tv could cost much more at Best Buy than Costco but people still go to Best Buy to buy goods. We are all very analytical in these forums because of the wealth of knowledge and atmosphere that surrounds us. Keep in mind that there is no "MSRP" set by the factories. The pricing is set by the dealers and only the dealers.
  2. With these recent developments, I think Josh and Andrew will work harder to maintain customer loyalty. We have all heard of these allegations before, so it is not a surprise to me. As long as they keep treating me right, I will still support them. One of my best friends own a gas station and gets a call all the time to raise the price. It is absolutely true that prices go up just before a long weekend. Even though he owns the gas station, he has no choice but to comply. His friend owns a competitive gas station right beside his. He also gets the same call almost at the exact same moment. So where is true competition? Angus vs Josh and Andrew is a developing war. We can already see pricing adjustments on the new reps that have emerged. I like this competition and hope that we get some decent deals.
  3. Does anyone have the rep rubber strap? I have the gen one and just want to see some comments on the quality of the repped one.
  4. In order to correct the datewheel, the factories have to clone the ETA 7753. So if a A7753 is in the works, you can bet that many reps including the Navtimer will have a correct flush date wheel.
  5. Ordered my C1 and Skyland w/ss bracelet from Joshua a couple of days ago. The C1 was on my high list for the longest time. Can't wait.
  6. ROFL!! You bastard, I just spit coffee all over my monitor.
  7. I just asked my wife if she would let me take some provacative pictures of her wearing my reps. She didn't say anything, gave me a glaring look and walked away. I think it's couch time for me
  8. I think you need a matte white base primer on the wheel before you apply the ink. I think the surface is too smooth that is why the ink looks blotchy. It is still an improvement over your previous attempts.
  9. I can feel the tension between Angus and Andrew. I don't think they like each other much and what we all need is some good ol' competition to stabilize the pricing. This should be a win win situation because it should also stimulate some sales for them.
  10. I would only sell the reps that don't get much wrist time. I have narrowed my collection down to 58 reps from about a 100. I have 6 gens and am always on the hunt for new ones. I will be probably be on the hunt for a PAM113 when I go to St. Thomas this fall. As stated above, I love the selection way too much to narrow it down to a handul of gens. Trust me skool, the addiction will never stop. Once a rep lover, you will always be a rep lover. Before you know it, you will be back to another dozen reps in no time
  11. Currently playing World in Conflict, COD4, BF2, BF2142, and a little CS.
  12. Congrats with that!! I am sure you are looking forward to visiting the forums more often with the free time you are going to have
  13. My user name is the first two letters of my son's first name and first two letters of his last name.
  14. I prefer trying different varieties.
  15. It is a coffee bev, but has the best head.
  16. Sorry to hear about your problems. I have had my fair share of problems with reps. I have sent many watches back to the dealers for repair and have paid the extra for return EMS tracking. I don't have faith in shipments that can't be tracked. I would stay in constant communication with the dealer to get the matter resolved. I am afraid that if the watch was shipped out two months ago, it might be lost. That is abnormally long. Airmail should not take more than 3 weeks to any part of the world. Ask the dealer for proof that the watch was shipped. Ask for a copy of the waybill showing your address. If no resolution between you and the dealer has taken place, then you have every right to post your experience on this board. We are here to share experiences both good and bad. I have faith that any of our trusted dealers will make things right. Good luck to you.
  17. Nevermind. I took the movement out, tightened the hands and all is good
  18. I received the new sec@12 ROO from Joshua a couple of weeks ago and was very happy with the overall quality. I just went to try out the chrono for the very first time and now it will not align back to 12!! I have tried to run it for a while, but still nothing. Is there a way for me to align the chrono hand back to 12 without taking out the movement? I know how to take out the movement but it is a pain in the ass.
  19. I also like Mezlan, Bacco Bucci and Donald Pliner as well.
  20. This is all you need for portable tunes.
  21. I am curious to know exactly how many rep factories there are manufacturing the same model of watch? You are right about Angus, I am very happy with the reps I have purchased from him. I don't see a need for multiple versions of the same model of watch. Regular, Perfect, 1:1, Ultimate, 4th gen...... When does it end?
  22. Wow, this is quite a way to stir up the pot!! Wonder if Josh or Andrew can attest to these accusations? I agree that with the technology and know how from these factories that a true 1:1 watch should be no problem to produce as long as the base 7750 movement is the same as the gen. I have always wondered about this.
  23. By looking at the bracelet in this pic, I gather that it is the same as the Avenger model? If so, I have a spare
