  1. wow, good search alanytical!! you're indeed an analytical man!! heheh Edit: This tour auto rep strap would be nice in the Silver Themes...
  2. Problem solved!!! I received the crown+stem and yesterday a local watchsmith fixed the issue. My Volcano is again in my wrist.
  3. Yeah, the stupid clasp is so uncomfortable that I decided to find a better deployment. Doing ebay searching, I found this excellent deployment: The deployment works fine and the fit is perfect. It's 1.000.000e99 times better than the rep clasp. If someone is interested you can buy one HERE. The price is only $11 shipped worldwide. cheers
  4. wow, amazing!! let me see if I understood: for around $1500 you will sell the same watch in your pictures and you will take care for all the parts (watch+parts)? thanks
  5. My Grey Themes is now in Francisco's hands. Maybe at the end of november will be at home... muaaaaaaa
  6. thanks for your comments! I did a close inspection and the stem was broken on 3 parts!! One part is stil inside the movement, a local watchsmith told me he will be able to remove it; a second part is the little piece on metal at left side in the picture; and a third part is inside the crown. I don't have any clue how this possible happened. I never dropped my watch. Anyways, Andrew from Trusty will send me a new crown and stem. His service is outstanding.
  7. Hi, today I was unscrewing the crown to fix the date in the watch (third time I did it since I received the watch), and at my surprise the full crown was in my hands. The watch is working fine, the tube attached to the crown I think is still into the movement. This is the first time I saw this kind of issue. What can I do? Is it an easy fix (to go with a local watchsmith)? Do I need to ask to my dealer a new crown + tube? thanks edit: Is it easy to remove the tube that is inside the movement?
  8. You can try one of these: http://cgi.ebay.ca/18-mm-Stainless-Steel-Pusher-Watch-Deployment-buckle-/150498804277?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item230a6d8235 I have 3 of them and is it the best deployment you can find: very comfortable, excellent quality and the price is very good.
  9. Go with Francisco in Spain. APs running @12 need a special movement treatment. Don't waste your time and money with local watchsmiths.
  10. Yes, AP rules!! I became an AP fan too. Maybe you can consider a Volcano: I'm waiting my Grey Themes with mods.
  11. I just bought the conversion kit from Andrew at $30 shipped...
  12. Thanks for your comments. Andrew will add a new set of bezel screws.
  13. Ok, I received a QC pic of the Grey Themes: The watch looks pretty good. The bezel screws are missaligned but the watch will be sent inmediatly to Francisco for a full treatment (service+lume) and he will take care to install properly the screws.
  14. I'm waiting the QC pics of Grey Themes to make a decision.
  15. I ordered one too from Andrew. I received his QC pics and I realized the red markers were overprinted (on the silver ring) in the 12' subdial. Andrew sent me pics for a replacement and it has the same issue. The factory said him all the bacth presented this problem. Now I'm waiting QC of the new Grey Themes version. I suggest you to ask QC pics to your dealer.
  16. I don't tink I'm wrong. Montoya and Survivor have a different construction than regular ROOs and it's obvious they have their own hands. Now if you take the hands of your regular ROOs you'll see they are the same (different color only). I can bet you if you compare the grey themes hands with the ones of your regular ROOs, they will be the same.
  17. Warner, copy and paste one of my comments allows me to see your level of creativity. It's clear for me now that you don't understand the difference between a design problem anda QC issue. Let me explain you the difference. Short or larger hands, no space between the datewheel and inner bezel are examples ofdesign problems. OK? Now when the paint goes over the surface supposed to be cover, dust in the dial (or traces of painting) or fingerprints are examples of QC issues. Basicly you can't solve a design problem (you can but you need to re design the part) but a QC issue can be solved.
  18. AP ROO watches are an addiction. Since I got my Vocano 2 weeks ago, I wear it all days. I never though AP ROO would be so amazing. Now I'm thinking to sell a few of my reps, because I don't wear them anymore. I bought the Silver Themes 2 days ago from Andrew. Today I received some pics of his new QC policy: Looking at the picture, the subdial at 12' shows an issue with red markers (they are printed over the silver ring). I saw some watches with the same issue in the past, but also someones without it. Andrew is taking care and he is checking if he can find one without the issue. The good new is QC is really working!!! I hope he can find a proper dial.
  19. eeehh... then I think you will never can buy an AP ROO (all of them uses the same hour and minute hand). The difference is so miminal, that only an expert with a magnifier would be able to see it. Are you asking a 1 to 1 rep (I never saw one) for only 3% of gen value? ...mmmmh...
  20. a "true" pic of the gen: my next AP for sure, if the rehault is black like the gen
  21. Thanks sir! About the strap, I forgot to mention my Volcano is wearing a HKTAN hornback strap. The quality is very good. The rep strap is just crap.
