  1. Which one are you looking at? The link takes me to the main page. These look like the same ones offered from Puretime except these have A2836 movements instead of ETA3846 in the ones from Angus. "All parts interchangeable with genuine" and "made from non-dissected sample" are two phrases that just dont go together. Looks like the same Submariner with a little bullcrap marketing thrown in.
  2. Thats a horrible picture. I wouldnt buy that until you get some better pics. I have my doubts that its a wm9. If the seller is going to sell his wm9 then they should provide you with some better pics.
  3. That dial looks pretty nice! Prices are good also.
  4. I think you need to slow down a little bit here and do a little more research before you jump into this... that DJ auction could stay at $600 until the last 5 minutes then it will jump to $2000+ guaranteed. You simply cannot get a 3035 or 3135 for anywhere near that. Even if you find one for $1200 or so, plan on putting $500 into it for servicing and parts. There is usually a reason that they are for sale on ebay (read: not working properly). You cant even get a 1570 cal for less than $1200 these days... I also dont see how you will get a decent gen 16610 dial for $300?? Your estimated prices are way off my friend. Rolex parts are literally worth their weight in gold. NObody is going to sell these parts for half of what they are worth unless theres a catch, and there usually is. Trust the senior members here that have been building frankens for many many years. Ive seen gen 16610's going for under $3000 lately. Why spend $2500 building a franken replica when you can have a gen for $3000? I also agree that putting a gen movement into into a franken is too expensive unless you are a watchmaker and happen to have one laying around... Gen 16610's are too cheap these days to make it worth it. dizz
  5. That loom looks good. I like the 3D look of the raised markers. My DRSD is lumed by The Zigmeister also and it looks awesome. Doesnt glow as bright as yours though. Mine is faint kinda like how old tritium might look if it still had some juice left. I almost want to send him my gen 1680 Tritium dial for some vintage puffy loom also...
  6. Looks like the Noobfactory version... Discontinued. There is no factory currently producing an accurate 16600. I wonder why MBW never came out with one... The only option on the horizon is the WM9 version if it ever gets released.
  7. I didnt really look at the pictures... I guess that type of 'paperwork' isnt really paperwork. lol
  8. BK wont be getting any more Noobfactory 16600 SSD's anytime soon as they are discontinued. The WM9 is MIA so thats not an option either... If you can find one for sale from another member here. then you should jump on it. I was going to sell mine, but now Im turning it into a 16660.
  9. Has anyone used that DW1680 case? Does he do custom engraving? Looks like they come blank.
  10. Probably corroded/glued right on there with dissolved rubber gasket as extra stickyness...
  11. Yeah lets see it!!! Excuse my ignorance but where do you get that Helen Wong insert? Thats the same one on my 1680 I believe, and I really like it.
  12. Its been my daily beater for a while now... Its by far my favorite of all my Submariners... It must have been a couple yrs or more since i got it from you.. I cant remember but I know i've had it for a while now. Its got the same Helen Wong insert with a gen pearl now, and a nice loose gen 93150... not much more I can do to it except a gen 1570 but Im not going to bother.. cant see it anyways, and the ETA 2846 beat is close enough for me. Its definately a keeper. dizz
  13. I have an old ExpII rep with Asian movement in it from at least 10 years ago.. its get the non settable GMT hand that takes 24hrs to go around. It still keeps perfect time and is more accurate than some of my ETA 2836 movements. Ive transplanted this movement into a number of watches including submariners, a couple datejusts and a daydate and now its sitting in my parts box ready for the next temp home. Im really shocked it still runs as well as it does. dizz
  14. HA HA its probably ok... What are these things worth these days anyways? Seems a little expensive but I dont know much about these GMT's Hes got ok feedback as a seller for some expensive items including a Breitling Emergency so its probably not a scam, and hes been an ebay member since 2004.... those are things I look at when gauging the possibility of a scam in progress.
  15. I'll let you know if i come across anything.
  16. That is by far, the WORST replica Rolex clasp I have ever seen. It looks like a generic oyster style bracelet that someone attempted to put a Rolex stamp onto... and speaking of stamping.. Is that a "455b" stamp on the SEL?? And whats with that weird looking Rolex cornet? It looks like an off centered monkeys footprint or something Whoever said this was from the same factory as the Noobfactory is lying to you.
  17. Hey bro, well i could use a MBW1665 mid case, so if you find a complete case somewhere for a reasonable price, you take the bezel and caseback and i'll send you some dough and take the mid case. I have an old MBW1665 that I bought from another member here long ago and the crown guards aren't done very well, so i want to redo them.
  18. The whole watch is totally incorrect. Case, dial , crown, crown guards, bracelet, and clasp are all way off.
  19. also Jakes Rolex Blog http://www.rolexblog.blogspot.com/
  20. The MBW is good.. just fitting a gen 1570 might be tricky.. I still have the MBW1680 with the gen dial that I got from you... a couple more gen parts on that one now, but same ETA movement. Its my favorite franken by far. What about those DW submariner cases he has on ebay? They are cheap.. Has anyone seen one? dizz

    1665

The date window on the PT is a little on the small side. The MBW window is correct. I put an MBW1665 dial onto my PT movement and the date lined up just fine. I doubt they are all the same though. The date font could be slightly off on some.

Opening the date window on the PT makes a huge difference. It would be a lot less work to swap in a better dial if you can.
