Replicas have been around for ages, even the big auction houses like Christies and Philips sell repainted dials, custom cases and whatevs. And i dont mean only rolexes. I think the problem with vintage watch collecting is that people are too naive and think this hobby is something you can buy yourself into. Thats not the way it works. Those people are going to be scammed sooner or later.
Does anyone know if its possible to laser weld a screwed up hole? I had the same experience once and it ended up with one hole being bigger, oval shape.
Very nice result indeed, much better than the matte varnish imho. Can the sand blaster be used on cases too? Would be it be possible to use it with bigger beads to get those small holes on the case?
That tonny case looks really sweet. Tonny mentioned once that his watchmaker could produce basically any cases from scratch. We need to get to the source of these vietnam cases
