  7. No updates.. Offshore is still waiting to hear from china. They're just now getting back into the swing of things over there and they're still playing catch up from CNY. We also still need volunteers to send their spare mineral crystals to Offshore so he can get them off to china for sizing and measurements. Big_E and PaulW had volunteered..but haven't heard anything from them for a couple weeks. Anyone else have spare crystals to let us borrow?

  16. Saw a watch peeking through a guys shirt cuff this morning on the metro. It was familiar looking. the crystal was seriously about 1/2 inch protruding above the bezel. It seriously looks like half of an egg sitting on top of his bezel. It was a vintage style diving watch I'm sure. But i can't seem to find it on here now that i'm searching. It's been irking me all day, since i can't figure out what kind of watch it was and don't recall where i saw one similar on here. I think i remember an old rolex with a crazy crystal like that. Any clues? The crystal is plexi i'm sure.. Suggestions welcome.. Thanks guys! pLai

  18. Ziggmeister or Vacuum can do it for sure. Not sure about their prices but for a full servicing i usually pay between 60 and 75usd. They might charge a bit more though. Get in touch with them! Un saludo grande desde espa

  22. No this is not the newest version scheduled for release. I'm not sure about how many gen parts this watch will accept but probably not very many. Otherwise it would be advertised as such. Most people tend to agree that the porikaa is the best for the money if you Narikaa has any in stock. The best version made was the 4th gen, but supply on those dried up a couple years ago. The new version should be coming out in the next few months.. wait a bit.. and see what the new one's like before jumping the gun on this one.
  23. Hey fake.. i think the question is whether 904 is available on any replicas. The answer is NO.. there is no replica with 904L steel. Rolex is the only manufacturer to use the steel in the production of their watches. Most Gen manufacturers and replicas use 316L or 316f(new DSSD for example). Your friend obviously didnt get his watch from a trusted member here on the board if he thinks his replica is going to have 904L steel. Rolex is THE ONLY watch manufacturer that uses this steel. You'll have to convince your friend to join our community and acquire some real knowledge before making his next purchase. I hope he didn't get too ripped off!
  24. Technically it's the V2 DLC version that I have (the most correct).. DLC is (Diamond-Like-Carbon)and is the hardest coating treatment available for your watch. The watch survives anything and is almost impervious to any scratches or markings! My Blacksteel hasn't got one mark on the case and I wear it quite often. DLC is a type of PVD.. but in general when we say "PVD" here it refers to a lower quality Powder Coating that is of much lower quality.. and also a different color. PVD is generally straight black.. where as DLC treatments will acheive the gunmetal color of my PIC. Secondly.. a while ago HONT had a special going for this watch but I'm positive it was only for a couple of weeks while he was trying to clear stock. The price he'll quote you will probably be closer to $310 or $330 now... but you can email and ask. Good luck!
