  9. Don't know what happened to me in 2010, but all of a sudden I became MUCH more active on this forum. I've been here since 2007 but as an "occassional" poster.. To me all of you guys with your 1000+ posts and all were like greek gods to my peasant eyes. Weirdly enough.. I've posted more in the last 2 months then the entire last 2 years combined.. Various reasons for that, but more than anything, I felt that I needed to contribute more, especially after getting closer to members like redwatch, tee-jay, offshore, Francisco and of course lani (and a host of others!)... These are members that are looked up to by SOO many people here and to have people like that to aspire to is really something. This place is more than just a place to look up the "best sub", it's a place of human relationships and contacts. Although the majority of us only know each other digitally.. this community of almost 25,000 people really almost functions as a city more than an internet forum. We've got people from all over the world connected and contributing to help not themselves but others. I don't want to turn sappy on here, but this is a great place to be and my life seriously wouldn't be the same without it. I've learned lots and hope that my next post like this will be once i hit the sacred 5,000.. .Anyways.. Much love from madrid and I'm glad to be a part of such a great place.. This place gets two thumbs up in my book
  10. dude.. did you ever see the pic i posted of the mercadona deodorant? not sure i remember seeing you chime in.....

p.s. I wrote this here because no one ever uses the comment feature! HOpe all is well

  11. Yeah, I've bought from Andrew at trustytime a couple times. Never had a problem. Since all dealers pretty much get their watches from the same source the quality will be the same with all dealers. Hit or miss. Especially since 90% of them drop ship your watch. What makes a good dealer is the ability to correct the problems that might arise with a product you buy. I've never had any bad experiences although I've gotten bad watches before.. but the dealers have never had a problem with me exchanging, returning or taking credit on my next watch if problems do arise. My habitual dealers is Angus at Puretimes though.
  12. Welcome wise one! We need people like you here! thanks for becoming part of the community

  14. Hey valerian.. just thought i'd say hello here!

  15. yeah man what can i say. I found these similar versions on trusty time just now since you got me curious.. They're definitely fantasy watches and the movement inside of them has nothing to do with a tourbillon but they go for the same effect. Although i have to admit they'd look WAY cooler with blacksteel casing like the one you posted: http://www.trustywatchguy.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=33&products_id=5512 I couldn't vouch for their quality but like I said.. the same effect as the watch you like. If you were really gung hoe about it you could buy the black version of the watch i just pasted above and then get Avitt (another member here) to give the case a nice DLC treatment to get it that gunmetal color. It would be expensive but with that modification you'd have the watch a lot closer to what you're looking for. (even if the movemeth would still continue to be completely off)
  16. Nice collection goin. I particularly like the 111h you got. The sandwich dial really pops. Very nice. Two thumbs up
  17. Crip walk
  18. Sorry this watch will never be replicated. This watch uses a tourbillon movement. This is a beautiful watch but because of the complicated movement, it could NEVER be repped. There are a few reps that come with real tourbillon movements but most are over $800..Most are A lange & Sohne and Brequets that are available, and to be honest i'm not sure if there are any Maurice Lacroix tourbillon models that have been repped. Maybe someone else with more expertise in maurice lacroix can confirm.
  19. looks beautiful! you're right about the greenish lume though. WM9 is the best one available from what i hear. Very nice
  20. Nice to see that you're learning! In regards to your question 1.) The 7750 and 2824 are completely different movements.. the Asian 7750 is the movement that will come with ALL automatic chronograph watches (watches with stop watch function). There is no swiss alternative available through our dealers to this movement. If you're thinking of buying any chronograph watch, it will surely have this movement. It's not a bad movement if serviced and can provide years and years of service (IF SERVICED). The 2824 movement is very popular movement that is used in plain face watches with date function possibility as well. It's a great movement and is available in a Swiss ETA version as well as an Cloned Asian moevement. Most people will tell you that both versions are equally good since they are ALMOST indistinguishable partwise. The cheapest of all movements available is generally the Asian 21j movement and is a generic term for the DG2813 and dg4813 chinese movements. These are good movements although cheap. It's not advisable to service them since it's cheaper to buy a factory new movement and replace them since they only run between 10 and 25 bucks new. 2.) Most dealers accept paypal here. If you use paypal, there is no way that the dealer will EVER get access to your credit card information. whether you choose to link your paypal account to your bank account or credit card is your decision but no dealers will ever have acces. I use paypal with complete security and have never had a problem with them as far as fraud is concerned. Hope that answers your questions! Keep em coming!
