  1. I'm sure lots of people have done this mod. Lanikai for sure has.. maybe he's got an old confirmation email from offrei with the part numbers listed.... send him a pm..
  2. Jet Li
  3. Yeah the watch looks good to me.. but then again...... It's not MY watch! If it were my watch, i'd probably be just as OCD as you!
  4. And yes.. Lani was referring to Zigmeister and Vacuum You pick up pretty quickly! at your comment about us being great dudes.. THANKS! Lani is the most famous "great dude" around these parts... we all aspire to him in some way...... in some ways not... haha(i mean honestly... the dude has got like every replication imaginable.. at least.. the good ones anyways )
  5. Not sure... hopefully someone with more expertise will chime in on this one. My guess would be yess though. But that's just a guess...
  6. Thanks for sharing. Always nice to see eye candy! When you mean suggestions.. do you mean suggestions for watches/mods or suggestions for photos??? As far as the pictures go, the pictures seem to be a tad out of focus. Appear a little hazy.. leading me to suspect that the lens was not very clean for any of the shots. Use a microfiber cloth on your lens and make sure it's cleared of all water spots, stains and debris, every time before taking a pic. That would improve the overall appearance of your photos. Next i'd use the MACRO feature on your camera to get in closer to the dial.. Looks like you were able to do that with the quantum of solace pic . Besides that, really glad to have you on board! Ever thought about any other watch brands besides rolex and omega?

  9. beautiful. A classic AP and THE classic "royal oak" model. Very understated. Great wrist shots!
  10. Is it a UPO? If it is, then, yes this is a fairly common problem. Most people fix it buy buying a GEN crown and tube. Together both parts will cost you between 30 and 50usd if i'm not mistaken. You'll hvae to remove the old stem and insert the gen one with gen crown. Should literally take you about 10 minutes. www.offrei for the parts. Not sure about the part numbers though.. you could probably do a search and find that out Good luck!
  11. Great! WELCOME you definitely made a good choice in joining the commune! Notice how i said commune? haha. This is dfeinitely the best forum out there PERIOD for wealth of information about all watches.. gen and replica! For that I commend you good sir! Frst thing you have to determine is what version sub you have. If it's a sub that was offered buy one of the factories that our dealers use, you hae possibilities (photos would be nice). Since the sub is the most commonly replicated watch sometimes it can be a mess trying to find parts for it that fit. All replicas are NOT created equal. If your sub is not compatible for any of the mods.. then you can pretty much forget about a bezel insert and authentic vitnage hands might mean changing out your movement for a gen ETA movement so that the hands will fit onto the handstack. Post some pics of your sub up and let the experts determine if a project like that would be possible for you. If it is possible, then GO FOR IT! If you need any help with anything don't ever hesitate to holler back young'n!
  12. Great. hope it works out with chris i'm sure he'll be able to get you taken care of! If you're in the madrid area we could meet up for a beer and discuss some watches one day!
  13. Check this out: Gioarmani wrote this a while back on how to remove the bezel insert. More complicated that I originally thought, since the bezel doesn't have a lot of torsional strength and could snap easily if you try to pry it off.....
  14. Mickey isn't that like some kind of double negative or oxy-moron or something.. too much time and watches.. should never go in the same sentence! I think you're gramatically incorrect ...(and yes i'm an english language professor) hahaha
  15. great info!
