  1. And the equivalent result to this scenario would be FAKE WATCH COLLECTORS REMANDED TO THEIR HOMES BECAUSE PRISON ISN'T FUN AND THEY DIDN'T LIKE IT!! PS Watches don't kill people. Drunk drivers do. Honestly, what's your point? Paris Hilton aside, how can people defend the non-application of the law? That serves as zero deterrent whatsoever. Parent - "Hey Billy, if you keep pulling your sister's hair you don't get to watch cartoons for the rest of the week." *little Billy pulls his sister's hair* Parent - "Okay mister, turn that off and go to your room." Billy doesn't like this decision so he starts crying. His parents feel bad so they let him out in a couple hours and tell him he can watch TV again. Yeah, that kid sure is going to learn that there are consequences to his actions... *** And one final point, what qualifications does that sheriff have to make a judgement as to Paris' mental state? Would it be okay for the prison warden to decide it's okay to release an embezzler because he thinks that the guy should go home. Yeah, nevermind what the actual judge (and jury if one were involved) decided. Sorry, but that guy isn't the law. His job is to enforce it.
  2. That's not good to hear. Well, will have to cross my fingers that it turns out well cause I sent him payment yesterday. Haven't heard back if he's received it yet and it will take a few weeks to get shipped to me so will post some pics when I get it. The pics of the modded 111H and 177H he has posted in his section of the forums look fine to me though so maybe there was just some kind of mistake. Definitely haven't seen any negative feedback for TWA (although there isn't much feedback for him period).
  3. I know they're not reps and maybe don't belong here but thought I'd throw this up for anyone who might be interested. hxxp://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&node=3888811&sort=salesrank&brand=Seiko&emi=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=1572-20&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=top-1&pf_rd_r=1ZNGW1DG5Z0FH9NP64Y8&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_p=292341501&pf_rd_i=3888811 Replace the xx with tt
  4. Woohoo!! Go justice system! Way to be a deterrent. Gimme a break.
  5. I'm sure you might have already looked into this but what about some herbal remedies such as valerian root, kava, or even melatonin tablets [not herbal]? They aren't magic or as "drastic" as meds, but they might help. Even chamomile tea might be worth a shot. And if you haven't, look up info on good sleeping habits on the web e.g. using your bed ONLY for sleeping, having specific sleep routines, etc. Again, I'm sure you have done this since you sound a little desperate but figure it wouldn't hurt to suggest. Finally, there is nothing wrong with seeing a psychologist. It doesn't mean you're crazy. If you need the meds that badly, then consider doing it if all else fails.
  6. Speaking as a medical student (and I know there are some doctors on this forum) who thinks that pharmaceutical companies (and insurance companies, HMOs, etc. if you're in the US) are the devil, I wouldn't advise buying "replica medication". Of course, when people in the US crossed the border to Canada to buy meds and there was all the crying about how you didn't know what you were getting, they really needed a foot up their ass.
  7. Got some great-looking families on here. Congrats to all of you guys for the beautiful kiddies! *** I don't get it.
  8. Totally agreed. I have no problems with reps so long as they have a good movement that can be serviced. When I graduate, my father was going to buy me a gen something because that's what I want as a gift (well either that or, oddly enough, a Tempurpedic mattress). However, I guess I'm of the more is better mentality because I don't see why I should get just one watch when I can buy 3-4 and have them modded and serviced for the price (not into super reps so talking about those that cost in the $250-350 range) and get the commonly-quoted 90% watch for 10% of the money. That's my take on it.
  9. That would actually be quite useful for everyone I think cause I searched and searched and there is literally no mention of his work other than suggestions to try him when the question of "Who has the best PAM XXX?" comes up. Enjoy your new watch! Yeah, I've been in contact with him. Prompt replies and patience with my dumb questions. I think I will just go ahead with my order even if it's to preserve my sanity so I stop thinking about the damned watch. lol
  10. Yeah, yeah, I quite got that. Like I said, I was just screwing around cause it sounds funny to call something a fake fake. I don't buy for a second that they were $1.80 though. Not expecting them to be hundreds of dollars like the reps available from the collectors here (and yeah, I know there is still a decent mark-up on those) but, even though I've never been to China, that seems really, really cheap and anything that cheap wouldn't be worth buying. Certainly not 8 of them. Or maybe the guy really is that tasteless... I had to read that about 27 times to make head or tail out of it. heheheh
  11. Bet she gets to go right back home or to some kind of cushy facility. No kidding. I really wonder why... Disgraceful judicial system.
  12. Very nice! Just one question though - "Will it blend?"
  13. Awesome. Keep us posted. I did notice the serial is not the same. Bought my last watch from Ruby as well. Transaction was flawless. She shipped the watch on May 30th and I got it in Florida on June 4th. EMS tracking worked perfectly via USPS website.
  14. I'm not 100% sure cause the file was encoded to XviD or something so a lot of the details were hard to see even when I stepped through it a frame at a time but really looked like it. I actually think that the bigger stars (I've seen this guy in quite a few films before) probably make some decent coin. So who knows, it might be a gen. Someone over on the Dark Side mentioned that "Wifey" from Wifey's World sports a PAM and Rolex in different vids.
  15. Good post archibald. I think you're right about the scare tactics. Hey, it obviously worked in the political arena.
  16. Hi guys. Looking to buy a 112H from this TWA (over on the Dark Side) with full mods and servicing and was wondering if anyone had any input on it. I was originally going to go with a Davidsen PAM but have changed my mind for various reasons including reports of lack of QC e.g. problems with the lug holes, and even though he fixes them, I don't feel like going back and forth to get that done. As well, I don't believe his watches are serviced. My other option would be to buy a "regular" rep and have it modded and serviced but I like the simplicity of just having a finished product delivered to me. Plus, he's a US dealer so that makes it easier in terms of customs. Thoughts? Thank you.
  17. Watched the video clip. "The watches I bought weren't even real fake Rolexes." What were they? Fake fake Rolexes? Technically those would be gens. Mmmn, gen Rolex for $1.80 lol, just screwing around. I get what he's saying and I agree with him that the fine is ridiculous and out of proportion although technically what he is doing is illegal.
  18. I love that his address is on the letter (PDF file) for all the world to see.
  19. Ah okay. I should have checked on that before saying anything. Just went on the previous poster's comments. We are in agreement there. No problem paying for a higher-quality product. My issue was with the fact that it seemed that the price was only bumped because of the awareness that there is a newer version out. If that newer version costs more for the dealers to purchase, I can understand a price increase being passed on to the buyers. That didn't appear to be the case (again, based on the previous comment). And, one more time just so I don't appear to be a complete idiot , I am fully aware that it is "standard practice" for businesses to charge a higher premium on upgraded products that improve (hopefully) older ones. Anyway, this watch is still on my list but a PAM 112H has to come first...
  20. I guess that's normal in business i.e. to charge more for a new, improved product but that kind of stinks to me cause RT's initial post seems to indicate that they had no idea that the VC Overseas was an updated version and therefore it's not likely that there is a higher price for it from the manufacturers. I'd think that if they went to buy from the factories or wherever and were themselves now charged a higher price that they would be aware that something had changed. But it seems to me that the watch was $2 and they sell it for $5 and now it's still $2 but it's gonna be sold for $6 cause people are aware that there's a new version out. Again though, I understand that this is how consumerism goes although usually the retailer themselves are charged a higher premium by the suppliers.
  21. Ah okay, looked like I was seeing a PAM crownguard in that shot. *** @Jaymoi, that watch is awesome!! Is there a rep? lol
  22. Beautiful lady. Congrats! I notice she's wearing a PAM in that picture.
  23. I'd like to point out that your pink skeleton is anatomically incorrect but I'll forgive you if you wear a nice watch.
