  1. I was taking a tour a few days ago and the guy in line behind me was wearing a SMP. After I noticed it I did a double then triple take in order to confirm.. -gen-. SMP's are easy with the HE valve placement being such a tell. Unless the guy had the closed factory version, but what's the chances. That thought made me consider complimenting his watch, but I just didn't feel like persuing it. Look at the thought process. Sometimes I think i'm crazy. I definately am guilty, checking wrists pretty much all day long. it's something to do.
  2. Since my $10, 1400pc watch tool set never arrived from ebay, i'm going to need a parts guy. I knew it was too good to be true.
  3. lol and u don't have to cuddle after! (word...) -reeses pieces-
  4. Definately jealous of your spoiled wrists! Are you still using the same exercise as Stalone for your forearms? It's not the weight of the Panerai! Oh.. Drill
  5. See, thats my kind've moose. Bet he let everyone pet him.
  6. LanikaitheindestructablepostwhorefromHawaii
  7. His horns look kind've small. A baby? I could take him Nanuq. Is that a common sight?
  8. Are they friendly? What would it do if I walked over and tried to pet it?
  9. some of you are taking advantage of this thread to increase your post count. Oh, Thailand...
  10. the lite/noob model reps have the asian 2813 movement. This has a lower beat (21,xxx VPH) What that means is the second hand moves more choppy. The more expensive model has the swiss/clone ETA, which is a high beat (28,800 VPH) to you this means the second hand moves more fluid, sweeping exactly the same way a real rolex would. The clone/swiss ETA movements are higher quality, and sweep smoothly. They simply are a better choice in just about every circumstance. Interesting point here with the Planet Ocean, is that the genuine, using Caliber 2500 (based off of a ETA 2892-2) vibrates at a speed of 25, 200 VPH. This to you means it has a sortve choppy sweeping hand. The low cost alternative asian 2813 movement in this case isn't going to give you away because the sweep is "choppy". For about $100, I strongly urge you to give Narikka's POrikka a try. the PO is a good watch to go "lite" on if your not going to try and build a superfrankenperfectPO. Here's mine on Narikaa's leather strap On rep rubber PO strap On bracelet
  11. rep in 1st pic, furthest from me, 2nd pic closest to me.
  12. They are water resistant. I swim with just about all of mine if I wish. I've done my due dilligence checking and greasing the seals prior.
  13. I got two though! LV is the anniversary sub with green insert. I took a quick look at the black pam and thought the A's were crossed a little low, so I jumped on it as a rep. 2nd glance.. well hind sight is what it is.
  14. Ahaha! See when your new how nice lani is? but stick around for a little bit and the abuse kicks in!
  15. I pitty the AD foo that tries taking my POrikka! And to think, just yesterday I was taking that pic wondering if i'd ever get the opportunity to post some faux-slick type post with it.
  16. My 2nd rep after finding my way into this group of ours, was my 177H. My 1st and only PAM. Straps give such versatility to Panerai that I've never found I needed more than one in my collection. R, I had recently mentioned to you that I searched every single thread you made here, and never found that oxidization tutorial! Any chance you could lend a hand hunting it down? While i'm at it- Your photo's are phenominal, but i'm not "seeing" the oxidized look. They simply look a little darker than my 177H. Could I bother you twice in a post to show me with your photographers eye what I am missing? A lot of members have been asking lately if these are truly titanium. I got mine about 2 years ago from the same source as Lani, and I can tell you with certainty they are in fact Ti.
  17. Right now its 1am and i'm sitting in a pair of boxers. Is this really something you want a pic of? To you guys on the other side, it is today, but to me, you are referring to tomorrow. With great disappointment, I must say I cannot predict the future. This pic sums up my past day.
  18. Watch? or ballistic serving platter for dinner party's?
  19. Dont bother with the lotto this week, you're not going to win.
  20. maybe we can purchase Asian ETA's separately from a dealer. This could be a fantastic option. First we'd need: -confirm they are direct swaps for the Asian 2813 21j's. -Find a dealer that can supply at a reasonable price.
  21. you guys are liking this thread I see.. Gunrunner
  22. Not exactly what you've asked for but endulge me- Have you seen the breitling skyland blacksteel? Rediculously nice, aren't they? Borrowing from Ubi's great pics-
  23. Hallmark (lets see if this go's where I think it will)
