The case will fulfill all past, present, and future SMP models. This is a given. It's obvious that its going to be done, the question is who/when. SMP cannot be denied. It's been too long. Word is a new model is already in the works. Was told by collectors to "wait". Whats coming to press? Mvmts drying up and all... On a personal note, I couldn't wait. have an older SMP en route. Just like every single SMP buyer in the market right now. Will be interesting to see what comes of the current situation. Rest assured my piece will be reviewed upon arrival, but I dont expect any revelations. This market has been denied for way too long. I've waited for a decent SMP since my join date.

I've done my best to get this in the right direction, but i've also admittedly reached the limitation of my knowledge. The pro's need to chime in at this point before any solid decision should be made on your part Chris. A case with correct HE valve placement and proper CG would make a premium watch, unavailable elsewhere. Time for bed tonight. Hope to see some SMP-WIS knowledge when I wake up.

Many thanks for coming through and posting these. Testament to your commitment to the community. To me that looks like the most accurate SMP rep available to us at the time. Pins or screws in the bracelet, and mvmt options available to us would be good to note. Tell the factory to get the god damn bezel lined up.. Why must they stick the insert in the wrong place everytime? The HE valve should be a bit above 10 o'clock. And the CG's are not right. The 007 case is much closer.. It's the same [censored]. Why they cannot use that case for the regular SMP is beyond me. 007 case and regular SMP = MONEY. This is not to detract from what you've posted. Your SMP looks as good as anything currently available, Chris.

Any update on a successful arrival?

I'm not in the market for another gen. I have a gen vintage seamaster, and TAG Calibre 6. Respectfully, I posted in regards to which best SMP to go with, not to be persuaded into a gen. Trust me, I've contimplated the gen many times over. I appreciate your opinions, but gens are not in the cards right now. If this is in fact gen ETA, which I believe it to be, I don't think longevity is an issue. This is RWG right? Seems like the SMP rep is a wild card now. I've spent 1+ months narrowing down the best choice. I'll take the plunge and report back. Thanks for the replies

Josh said a new version is in the pipeline. But I presume it will probably have copy ETA by that time (my thoughts, not his). Word around the campfire, the older (currently available) versions likely have gen ETA. Told Josh I had no problem with copy-ETA as long as I knew thats what I was getting up front. He said gen ETA in the SMP. I don't want to hold out for what could be 8-9 months.. Not knowing what will come of it.

How about the A7750's in the SMP chrono, and the V2 skyland.. Are these reliable? Ive yet to take a chance on a chrono..
