  1. Those TLC's were made with TLC.. Looks so good. Still the SMP.. Barely left my wrist since arrival. ETA's been keeping perfect time. Flaws be damned, I can't get enough of this baby.
  2. That FM is really cool looking. Do you think my girlfriends grandmothers would shine at night? I told her THAT is what you lay claim to early on! (she has a sister). Apparently, it's very heavy.
  3. ahaha something tells me Dani is probably already drunk.
  4. Keep your eye out for a closed factory version, even though it'll never happen. I'm sure some new SMP's are going to surface eventually. Hopefully they are worthy.
  5. Exactly. My father was passing up on Subs for $500 back in the 70's. Who knows if a single red, or a COMEX passing through his hands, he doesn't know about that [censored] enough to tell me. Hell, he never bought one. My same story can be told by how many other people here? Dani. Life is full of regrets, enjoy what comes inbetween. If you're lucky enough to have $20k saved up and smart enough to know how to flip it into $40K, I really don't feel sorry for you, good sir.
  6. Holy... I'm not reading 47 pages of this to catch up.. the answer was given many times over. There's more than one way to skin a cat, yes? A priest was pronounced dead. Self inflicted suicide. hung from a ceiling of a vaulted chapel, many feet above the ground. The only evidence was the body, and a water logged carpet. How did he commit this act?

    Fake SMP?

Completely suspect. Bracelet is wrong, CG's are [censored]. Horrible pictures. Might be trying to slip one by as a pwr seller? I'm still learning Omega. No decisions based on my post please, just my opinion.
  8. Natural progression would lead me to believe you could take way more then 2" present day. Inflation and all.
  9. Yes! That in itself speaks volumes. I'm glad I'm not alone here. Lets take this he-man, barbaric, world of warcraft hunk of carcus and wrap it around your wrist... Now lets show a seiko in the middle? WTF? @ CM.. You said you only wore that when we hung out.
  10. For a while now I've been seeing people wear these huge wristcuffs with watches attached to them. These things look retarded and seem to be getting more ornate as time go's on. What with these things? Just to give you an idea of what i'm talking about- Why dwarf a 40mm watch with a strap like this? Hell, this thing would dwarf a PO or 50..
  11. Agree, nice JLC. Wearing the SMP today.
  12. nothing wrong with the list. Welcome for the omega, search the board for SMP (seamaster pro). You can check out some recent posts of mine, as I just went through all the motions you are about to go through. Might save you some legwork. The SS Sub.. You have a wide variety in this dept, and the best advise I can give you is to ask yourself what you want out of it, and get what fits the bill. The B&R.. i'm not your man for answers.
  13. Welcome to RWG. You have many fellow forum members here that English is not their 1st language. Look forward to seeing you around.
  14. Welcome BV. Good luck with the hunt.
  15. Oh boy... [This spot reserved for Lanikai] Welcome
  16. Yah, I believe the nickel mvmts are swiss surplus mvmts, the brass ones are the ETAs made in china. However this is just what ive put together from a lot of reading on the boards. I just got a 2824-2 two weeks ago in a SMP.
  17. If your in too deep then completely disregard my post, lie and deny everything. If not: Oh my god man, don't make a huge thing of it in your mind! Wear it next time (or something else if your excited to show him another watch). Start the conversation directly, you know this is a rep right! Laugh it off. Apologize for forgetting to tell him last time. Tell him his daughter distracted you maybe? lol. Think of something else worth mentioning that you forgot also, like you really wanted to show him where to get these amazing reps of yours. Yes? Don't lie or compound the lie... And enjoy your watch. I absolutely hate lying (feel like im stealing pieces of myself), I am brutally honest, but it never seems worth it. I hope one day it will be, aside from feeling honorable at the end of the day, which doesn't buy much nowadays. good luck either way. It'd be cool to hear what happens. It's sort've like a story half read as is.
  18. Z, I should take a hint and start making other friends, yes? RE TT's PM to you RE me?
  19. I bet, it's such a great piece. Grats on the gen.
  20. It'll get smoother over time as you wear it. But if its a bit edgy, some fine grit will soften it up a bit, won't hurt to brush it a bit. The bracelets are very easy to work with. You mine as well pick up some sand paper. You'll want to brush the minor scratches out that develop from normal wear eventually. Hobby stores sell a packet of sandpaper squares, theres about 6 or 7 in there, with varying levels if grit all the way down to a very fine grit. They are washable and work pretty well for my brushed bracelets. remember dont take too much off the sides, you can take more off but can never put more back on. Easy does it.
  21. itseme, I love your display setup. The watches and pics look great. Are the IWC's your favorite of all in your collection?
