  1. Never felt any of the cartel bracelets. In fact, the only piece I've owned on a bracelet is my Steinhart O1V. It feels pretty chinsy compared to that.
  2. Still waiting on the case from Thomas, but got the modern date wheel courtesy of Ephry. I can at least put the movt/dial/DW/hands together and give it a quick test and stare at that instead of completely disassembked parts.
  3. Got it today. Everything checks out. Not much stretch considering its a 30 year+ bracelet. I'll snap some pics tomorrow when I'm not exhausted.
  4. Yeah, I'm sure it'll feel cheap. My Steinhart has a pretty solid bracelet (it's also 22mm wide so that adds weight as well), so I'm sure side by side it'll feel weird. I see more WTB for rep 93150s than I do sales. For what I paid for it, I'm fairly happy considering it appears to be gen from the photos and everyone's comments.
  5. In true USPS fashion, nothing today. Site still says "Expected 12/1". :/
  6. Swiss Made and font is the only thing that jumps out. The sunburst is great on the rep.
  7. I was curious about that. I'd read somewhere it was two sides ar and have read in others that it's just the cyclops. I guess that's my actual answer. I'm glad cause I may pick up some diamond polish to buff out a scratch on the crystal I picked up. If it was scratched AR, I figured I'd screw it up.
  8. I don't mind that it's there, just didn't know it was a common repair/mod. It fits better with the build anyway, since I'll have to call this a 92/93 or so.
  9. Yeah, I think I'd seen that one. I'm still stumped on the clasp lock, though. Hoping there's not too much stretch. Pics look good, but its just laid down so no way to tell. We'll see tomorrow.
  10. I guess the clasp lock and no month code are what I'm hung up on. I just can't find anything about if that's right for a G-code clasp. Maybe I'm just over analyzing. It is in our nature in this hobby, after all.
  11. The build sounds like how my Sub has progressed. In the end, though, you're left with a much more impressive piece.
  12. Pictures aren't the best. Here the few with legible bits. I'll break out the SLR tomorrow when I get it if you guys can tell me what bits I should shoot. Thanks for your help!
  13. I'm hoping so, too! Its nerve wracking since every bit that gives me confidence in it, there's something that makes me doubt it. It'll be easier tomorrow once I have it in hand. Just wanted to make sure to maximize what photos I should be taking.
  14. I bought a 93150 on the bay and should receive it tomorrow. There's a few things I'm doubtful of and was hoping for some help in what I'm looking for. First, it has a "G" code clasp. This puts it at 1982; however, there is no month code. Now, I haven't actually been able to find any images of G code clasps with a month stamp (I've found several without). Not to say that those images weren't of reps, but I've seen them on TRF, VRF, and chrono. The second thing that has me confused is that the clasp lock has the lines embossed. I didn't think that Rolex did this until later. The stampings do contain all flat "3"s. It has 593 end links, which I don't know if there are reps of (would assume they would go with the more common 501 or 580). I'll take some shots tomorrow when I receive it, I just need to know what to look for and what photos to include. The listing photos weren't the greatest, but the seller had great feedback and seemed to have a long history of watch part sales. He was also very responsive in communication.
  15. All you guys with your gorgeous chronos. I'm going to need to build one next.
  16. Probably the worst quality shot you'll see here.
  17. Just saw one FS on RG. You could pick that one up. It does nothing for me, FWIW. I'd rather have a Seiko.
  18. I don't know if I've been super lucky, but I try to buy items that if I need money or don't need to use them, I can net zero.
  19. Well, I have the TC case on the way, a modern date wheel from Ephry coming, and I went zero to stupid and got a gen 93150 bracelet and clasp coming. I'll just need to coordinate the lug drilling with jmb and the throw all this together.
  20. It'll be an early 16610 when I'm done based on case and movement. I like the gloss gone matte dials with wg surround and love aged tritium. It's just the way the build went. To each their own, I suppose. If I was going vintage dial, I'd do a 1680, which I still may start at some point.
  21. Thanks, I appreciate it! I've got a modern DW coming from Ephry. Thanks to everyone for their help with this. I'm sure I'll have more question before I'm through, but the willingness to help here has been awesome.
  22. That's exactly what I was looking for in the photo. I dont know why I was trying to see it since there's no way I could tell from it, but at least I was on te right track.
