  1. So, I sent my Chopard Mille Miglia GMT to K22222 for AR. When he took off the crystal, he discovered that it was actually a 2 layered type, with saphire on the outside and mineral crystal on the inside, with the cyclops imbedded in the mineral crystal. Wierd. So, learned something new... and got NO AR on my watch (can't blame Jakub though, of course ) But, that leaves me wondering... anyone know where I can get a correct single layered saphire crystal with the right cyclops for this watch-- same as the gen?
  2. Dont be silly. I cant feel these things and springbars that look like screws are easily the best way to avoid scratches and get straos changed fast and clean,,,,
  3. Ah... that make's sense. Thanks!
  4. This is really right on and too bad.
  5. OK, it's a rep. For sure it's a rep. No doubt abuot it. It's a rep. It's real, I am pretty sure, though. Cyclops and datewheel font are too good. It it's a rep, I want to get one of those cyclops'.
  6. Mine were 3 days Chicago to Warsaw. Unbelievable!
  7. What do you mean "first part"?
  8. OK, so I couldn't resist just posting to hear myself type... But seriously, this is a really nice community, and we should be able to have light as well as serious discussions on and off topic (in the off topic forum). If you guys have interpersonal issues, just solve via PM please and don't drag the rest of us down. J
  9. I don't remember, but it wasn't too much. Maybe $55 or $60 all in.
  10. Didn't someone famous once as: "Who has put a pubic hair on my watch [sic]?"
  11. Just curious-- did you ever service it? That's not a long lifespan...
  12. And... we could make it overly precise and link it to some atomic clock somewhere...
  13. OK, would never, ever, ever, ever (did I say never) guy this because of the horrid movie reference (and I actually like the movie, but I am not, personally, a billboard)... but I love the watch. Too bad...
  14. Today, 111h on SS bracelet (made comfortable with 440 grit sandpaper).

    My VCO

OK, sure it looks nice... real nice.... but I am talking sharp literally. Not the bracelet... that's smooth as can be. But the top ss loops (top and bottom of the crystal)... the brushed part... is very sharp on the sides. Anyone know if the gen is like that? I doubt it.... Anyone do anything about it? Thanks for reading. J
  16. Estaban is right. Can't tell from your pics if these are springbars or screws. If they compress, they are spring bars. If you have to screw them in, they are screws. The screws will work (they do on mine, though its not from Angus). No springbars that I know of work.
  17. I am no Rolex expert AT ALL, but is the date window correct? Gen looks like it slopes at the sides while the rep looks like a straight cut...
  18. This is just absolutely amazing! You guys are awesome. Thx, themuck!!!
  19. Thanks! Don't know why I didn't get that PM-- wierd-- but, I'll hang tight til Thurs.
  20. Oh, I know. I am just wondering about replacement of the cyclops in the correct spot after he takes it off.... is it better to just send the whole watch to make sure it is put back in the right spot or doesn't that matter....I'd rather just send the crystal but want to make sure the cyclops will be put back in the right spot is all... Thanks..
  21. I asked before, but not quite clear on the answer: Can we send you just the cyrstals? If we send them with cyclops, are you able to reinstall in the right spot or do you need the entire watch?
  22. Have you had any customs issues with shipping to or from CONUS?
  23. PAM 63 for me now. Chief cyclops, Lello DW, reworked CG, The Zigmeister lumed... Sorry for the lousy pic...
