  1. Welcome. Gotta say, 20 reps in, I just did my first Rollie too. Anyway, if you cant size it yourself, try your country's 'quivalent of Sears'-- low end jewlery outlet or a mom and pop type shop. Often, but not always, they will just do it for you. But NO AD.
  2. You said it man. Unfreaken believable.
  3. Thank you! I have suspected as much!
  4. SFSO looks super cool on Nato. Love it and love the shots. Thanks for sharing....
  5. Thanks but don't. Trust me.... ok, maybe... they are a lot of fun! You probably remember, no? Oh, and thanks, Joe.
  6. Here's mine. Next gen JMT with a gen Bucherer...
  7. Hey, congrats! I just had my third 3 days ago at 12pm CST. It's in the water!
  8. OK, so can that be fixed?
  9. Hi. So, I've got a TI Ingy 2824-2 that has suddenly stopped working at the crown. What happens is that when you pop out the crown, you hear it click into positions 1 and 2. But in either position, when you turn it, you get a poor response, or sometimes no response, from the hands. Sometimes they will turn, but never a complete revolution, and at some point they always 'slip' and the crown will just spin. And the date won't change much at all, and if it does it does the same thing. What do you guys think is going on? I've gotten some advice that I need to source a new crown (by someone respected)-- do you guys who know more than I do concur? If so, can someone explain to me what is actually happening inside? Thanks! J
  10. That's really too bad, because a reliable PVD service at a reasonable price is so worth it, and I've got just the project! Please reconsider and let us know!
  11. Not a B&R guy personally, but a great looking watch. Glad it made it... Enjoy!
  12. Agree. But strange anyway. Not really the same without her...Must be some auntie visit!
  13. My thoughts exactly. These are true asset to this hobby, so please don't pull the plug!
  14. But you guys in Hawaii are, well, mellowwwwwwwwwwwwwww BTW, I'd send it back.
  15. Has anyone done this? I haven't seen it posted, although I haven't been looking for it. Sounds like a quality upgrade if it works... So, anyone done it with a conventional, say Joshua 111H, rep? That's correct. But, please, dabom, don't let the fact that you got this for free stop you from upgrading to supporter. RWG needs all the help it can get and you'd get a ton of additional great benefits by upgrading.
  16. I'm in. Give me a couple weeks to get this new baby integrated into the routine then I am all over it.
  17. I am no expert, but what am I missing? If I have an ETA and it dies, can 't I still replace wit with a DG4813 for about $20? PS-- but, this sounds like an AWESOME product offering! Thanks for working to innovate...
  18. I think that is one that Lani used the hr. hand for one of his 'projects.' I am pretty sure it is going to show up on that rolex deepsea that doubles as a dress watch That's why we know it is 10 minutes past who knows...
  19. I dunno, guys. I love Chopard's, but that crystal is weird as can be . How does it play in person?
  20. I did this too. Then I started using a toothpick. That worked great.
  21. But, what about the big smoke!
  22. I don't know the answer to this, and would be curious as well, I guess. But more interesting is the phrase 'big smoke!' Is that something people say or a translation thing? I hope it's real because it sounds cool as can be!
  23. Thanks. It's a weird thing that it's such an unknown brand... so huge in Europe historically, especially as a jeweler, but not a lot of distribution of the watches in the states. Too bad because they make a fantastic time piece. EDIT: @ its_urabus: Trust me, I'm not. Timing angle occurred to me, but posted it more as a joke than a serious question-- I'll leave labor management to the docs! And, right now it looks like nothin's happening tonight... thanks for the good wishes, though!
  24. Thanks, CBR. The Patravi is a great watch... but I've got my eye on the Bucherer TravelTec GMT (3TZ)-- talk about WOW! I actually love both watches... Here they are in a lousy shot (this baby thing is going slow... may be days more....so I had time for a quick photo)...and, yes, I know, the date on the Bucherer is wrong (running too fast today!) And here's a lume shot... a great tribute to Rob I think...
