  1. Decisions... decisions... let's see what the weight of the membership says...
  2. First, big congrats.... have a great time. Now for the watches, I'd say the PP for sure... Panerai do not fit under shirt sleeves well... and attract too much attention... you will pay for it forever... let her have the attention... trust us.
  3. I dunno man... not nice... not at all....
  4. Can someone explain this? I never understood what folks meant by the dial printing being better...
  5. I really like the Rose Gold Rad. Goes better with the gold hands. But, I don't love the cyclops, because of the low mag. But, otherwise, it looks fantastic. I will say that I do really prefer branded dials as well... looks like its missing something and a Surftech moniker would look cool... Thanks for sharing!
  6. No, Lani is right as far as I know. It spins too freely because of lack of resistance, that's true. But, oiling adds just enough resistance to get rid of this. The Zigmeister explained this to me when I had this problem and it got better after being lubed.
  7. I've been thinking this. Anyone talk to Chief about it?
  8. Have any of you guys tried the flea market? I have heard that it can be a great place for deals if you know your watches...
  9. OK, so I am a long time rep owner, but not a long-time Rolex guy. I just got my first sub (which I love), so forgive the ignorance... why, exactly, do I want more than 1 black faced sub?
  10. Ummmm..... that would be Lello....
  11. I am going to Geneve for a few days in early August. I have heard its a great place to get some deals on the gens, particularly used ones. Anyone know any shops or markets I should check out? Thanks in advance! J
  12. That's right. The Zigmeister swapped mine...
  13. Great, great post Lani. Oh, and the watch is nice too.
  14. I would buy the unitas gen. I would not buy the Chinese tourby. Kind of pretentious...
  15. I am betting paperweight. Still gotta move the secs 90 degrees... why is it easier up than down?
  16. I agree with that. But, its all in your mindset. It IS a beautiful watch. And it's a real, and really nicely decorated movement.... will be clean and oiled when you get it. Will last a long time. The name brings no prestige, if that's what your after. But, skeletonizing is a lot of work, and they did a nice job as far as I can see. So, if you've got 890Euro, andyou wont miss it, have at it. If that's a lot for you, and you wont be buying anything for a long time because of it, you can get more value elsewhere. Let us know what you decide and pls post a review and pics if you go for it.

    V's new CGs

No, we aren't. The pics V provided are the OEM and HIS replication. I will try to post pics later of his rep v. the standard rep. His has a narrower (is that a word?) gap between case and lever than is standard and a slightly different shape.

    V's new CGs

No, not rough. Just a lousy pic. Sorry guys... It's late and my photog skills stink...They do look good though...
  20. WOW! All rollies all the time. I started that way today too... then went through Chopard GMT, and Bucherer until I got to this... with V's new CG...
  21. OK, guys. Here is mine. Its on my 111H with a fat, but rep, crown. I am very interested to see this with an OEM crown. It took a good bit of filing by hand to get the level to work without pain, but it is easily doable while sitting on the couch watching baseball . Anyway, the lever is nice and firm and I think the profile is nice. Great job V, and thanks for bringing this to us! J
  22. They also have an annual (semi annual?) salesman's sample sale for size 9s (I think) for $69.
