  1. No. Just observations after watching the video - no anti reflective coating (huge tell) - wacky pearl - no serial# engraved ... really what are they thinking? I clicked away after that
  2. No AR like the Steelfish chrono... they are from the same factory (Oris-factory) and their quality is sub-par considering Noob, H, JF etc.
  3. I see a lot of nice genuine Rollies based in Japan and I'm looking for a trustworthy member living in Japan who is willing to do some triangle shipment and send them to me (EU) by airmail with a low customs value declared (so I won't be hit with VAT charges). Like we also do with our reps off course Anyone? Mark
  4. I love your thought process. For me it is the latter from your possible reasons to buy a fake: I am obsessed and intrigued to get a fake as close as possible to the genuine counterpart in regards to reliability (movement, waterproof etc). My wife owns multiple genuines (which I bought her) and does not like wearing reps. She often tells me: "buy an nice gen as your next watch" ... But simply buying a gen does not give me the same feeling and reward as totally pulling apart a rep and servicing it to be on par with a gen. So my watch box consists solely of reps.
  5. Interesting. There is some truth in this line: Why? Well, first of all when people need to respect you based on the watch you wear, you must have a horrible personality! People that wear fake watches, say that they don’t wear them for this reason. The funny thing is that the vast majority of the fake watches are the very recognizable models, the type of watches even people who don’t know nothing about watches at all recognize. What do you think? Mark Full article: http://www.watchisthis.com/why-fake-watches-are-for-losers/
  6. Hi! Not very active but lurking here daily
  7. So I bought this 18mm Breitling tang form eBay but upon receiving it and comparing it with my other (100% gen) tang buckle it just seems off. The tang I already own seems to have an embossed logo whereas the one form eBay seems engraved. It also appears to be more shallow. I inspected some rep buckle from our TD sites but they appear to be different. Could this his be the case of production differences throughout time? So is this buckle (on the right in the picture) genuine or rep? I just can't tell.... Thanks Mark
  8. Yeah T. Don't go mental about the pearl
  9. You are missing the screws of the auto-wind bridge.
  10. Correct. Crown end of stem. Just measure the distance between the bottom of the crown (when it is in unlocked position = hand winding position) and the case. Most of the time it is no more than 1~1,5 mm. Don't start with clipping too much. It's trail & error. Just small clipping of 1-3 stem threads until you are satisfied with the position of the crown ( flat against the case). Than secure the stem with some rapid glue in the crown thread again.
  11. Just clip the stem and make it a pull out crown. I did the same to my CPO. It's crown is notorious to strip. It will still be perfectly waterproof!
  12. Given the quality of reps lately I would take the plunge on the red script. I think it will be perfect. Just the lighting and/or green-red contrast.
  13. I like that model too. I owned a first gen some years ago. Curious about the red script also. Pease share some pictures when you get it. Love the green!
  14. Somehow I like the sound of a Gentlemens club
  15. I want a PAM Sub (44mm) in my collection but I can't figure out which one is the most accurate out of the box. I have read Ale's thread but in regards to Subs it is out-dated. Some models are out of stock. Some are updated and recently even some new models hit the rep scene. Not to mention the whole factory craze: Noob, H, ZF, V6F etc Thanks for any advice Mark
