  2. A CHRISTIAN DEMOCRAT: You have two cows. You keep one and give one to your neighbor. A SOCIALIST: You have two cows. The government takes one and gives it to your neighbor. A REPUBLICAN: You have two cows. Your neighbor has none. So what? A DEMOCRAT: You have two cows. Your neighbor has none. You feel guilty for being successful. You vote people into office who tax your cows, forcing you to sell one to raise money to pay the tax. The people you voted for then take the tax money and buy a cow and give it to your neighbor. You feel righteous. A COMMUNIST: You have two cows. The government seizes both and provides you with milk. A FASCIST: You have two cows. The government seizes both and sells you the milk. You join the underground and start a campaign of sabotage. DEMOCRACY, AMERICAN STYLE: You have two cows. The government taxes you to the point you have to sell both to support a man in a foreign country who has only one cow, which was a gift from your government. CAPITALISM, AMERICAN STYLE: You have two cows. You sell one, buy a bull, and build a herd of cows. BUREAUCRACY, AMERICAN STYLE: You have two cows. The government takes them both, shoots one, milks the other, pays you for the milk, then pours the milk down the drain. AN AMERICAN CORPORATION: You have two cows. You sell one and force the other to produce the milk of four cows. You are surprised when the cow drops dead. A FRENCH CORPORATION: You have two cows. You go on strike because you want three cows. A JAPANESE CORPORATION: You have two cows. You redesign them so they are one-tenth the size of an ordinary cow and produce twenty times the milk. A GERMAN CORPORATION: You have two cows. You reengineer them so they live for 100 years, eat once a month, and milk themselves. AN ITALIAN CORPORATION: You have two cows but you don't know where they are. You break for lunch. A RUSSIAN CORPORATION: You have two cows. You count them and learn you have five cows. You count them again and learn you have 42 cows. You count them again and learn you have 12 cows. You stop counting cows and open another bottle of vodka. A MEXICAN CORPORATION: You think you have two cows, but you don't know what a cow looks like. You take a nap. A SWISS CORPORATION: You have 5000 cows, none of which belongs to you. You charge for storing them for others. A BRAZILIAN CORPORATION: You have two cows. You enter into a partnership with an American corporation. Soon you have 1000 cows and the American corporation declares bankruptcy. AN INDIAN CORPORATION: You have two cows. You worship them. ENRON CORPORATION: You have two cows. You sell three of them to your publicly listed company, using letters of credit opened by your brother-in-law at the bank, then execute a debt/equity swap with an associated general offer so you get all four cows back with a tax exemption for five cows. The milk rights of the six cows are transferred via an intermediary to a Cayman Island company secretly owned by the majority shareholders who sell the rights to all seven cows back to your listed company. The annual report says the company owns eight cows, with an option to buy one more. Peace
  3. lol, love the churchill. My fave Bessie Braddock: You, sir, are drunk. Churchill: Yes, madam, I am. But in the morning I will be sober, and you will still be ugly
  4. But how if no-one knows who did it, could be anyone ? - For all we know 50 people since your 1st post have sent work to this modders way unaware ? 0.2 EDIT * Hope it gets sorted Peace
  5. Take one Timberland 45mm case Chrono with a rather garish orange strap. Get an old Pam SS bracelet, spend 20 seconds filing the outer edge Turns into quite a beater. ( seen here against my Bond Sub ) Sideview Peace.
  6. Just spilt my coffee reading that - maxman hope you don't mind, going to nick that quote as a lower sig . You made my day
  7. for a cheap method - buy a clear ( non spotted ) 2nd hand f35mm lens $10 - 20 from the bay - do the reverse lens trick onto main lens to get super macro. regular garden spider vs wasp - reverse lens on a standard 6mp Sony Cybershot camera Obviously for professional work you need proper gear
  8. late reply on this - Kruzer wow. good to see you still got my old 'Josh 036' - do you know I still get people coming up asking about that watch !!! And some collection you got there. Peace.

  10. It is what happens when you first tread the path of reps in our great community - at first you are like a child in a candy store - big eyes and lots of candy. Time passes and after a while of wearing your purchases as dailys you then beging to look at specific brands and really homing it on what it is you actually like, it's at that point all your investigations really start and you begin to really understand what candy is on the shelf. When you finally add it all up after a few years you realise that actually what you have spent could have bought a Gen or two lol - but buying the candy, modifying the candy and being part of a great community here does actually make you feel part of something special ( check out Lani's Gen rolex purchase post to see what I mean ) More important than anything is the knowledge on these boards is immense, I hate to say it but must - use the search function here and you will gain more knowledge on your chosen subject quicker than a 5 legged Cheetah. oh and tip : Make your wife feel good, get a nice rep for her as well if not the reduction in the bank balance she will soon suspect. Enjoi Peace.
  11. was a supporter of the RWG v.1 forum bitd , not been on here much in last 3 yrs - will upgrade my membership over the w/e peace
  12. Think you've gone over and above here. 1. Have the watch returned - refund your customer full amount - all happy. Be sure to brunt all shipping costs. 2. You can't go back to Dealer as you have said, whilst in your possesion and from when supplied by dealer all in working order - all good, Dealer has fulfilled his side of the deal. Regardless of what it is for 165 USD surley just get the watch repaired for a few $$ then resell with confirmation of a full working piece ^^ then everyone happy. Peace.
  13. Few watches I've seen are advertised by Dealers. specific as having Double Coated AR, now looking through the boards here I see a lot of people, sending away to have them double coated albeit properly over a general chinese production. Primarily, I'm talking about the IWC BP's. Presuming that AR coating is like choosing a car, i.e between a KIA and a Porsche in terms of different quality Is it bottom line as basic as that ? The quality of double coat AR from standard rep is the Kia and sending off and paying the dollar you get the Porsche ? Finally for those with these watches, how does the standard double coat AR hold up. TIA
  14. Would like your thoughts on this sort of thing, I loved this and missed by just $2.50 and last 10sec snipe ( oh well sh**t happens. Looked a very interesting unique piece. Thoughts on these conversions ? ? click to view ebay page
  15. I'll get flamed for this but I've pressed the search button for you The Zigmeister Search Failing that in big bold wording on every post he makes is this : _____________- If you have a question on watch repair or servicing, please ask it on the forum for everyone's benifit. I don't sell watches, I don't know who is a good seller/dealer, and I don't know who makes the best watch (whatever model). My expertise is limited to movement servicing and repair, and Super Luminova application. _____________ Enjoy the ride
  16. lol Remeber back as well a few dealers like that - " If you don't like it then feck off - Who's next... ? Hey, i sell the best Sub... "

  18. Pam 188 7750 asian mov had for two years no problem - second hand moves fine, winding is fine, chrono works fine. Crown can be pulled out and time can be set all that works normally. When all that is done the hands are not moving round in natural state although second hand sweeps fine ? Anyone have any experience or have I got a crapped 188 now ? thx edit - local watch maker had a look who said it was the best rep of movement he had seen for this and he could service but if parts needed would have to use original parts - would original parts fit this mov. ? - Ho could not initially see prob without stripping down, just wondered if you experience guys knew what it might be ? thx
