Got this pic from TZ; can it be possible?
First and foremost, thanks for keeping the forum abreast! This is interesting news.
My first reaction is, eh. It looks like any old bracelet, not the

Thnx SSSurfer!
Ditto! Thank you, Sssurfer!

(Mods, this applies to any strap, but if you feel it more appropriate please remove it to the Panerai section!)
I have a Strap Culture strap which smells of death. A mixture of turpentine, mothballs, and Clapham Common Filling Station.
I've tried absolutely everything on it, from Coach leather cleaner, to Lord Sheraton, to Chelsea "Leather Food", to Lexol. Nothing gets the stink out. So desperate am I, since it cost north of U$100, that I considered immersing it in water...
Any tips on getting this unbelievable strap stench out?

Ps:daen iphone, I missed on the rating and instead of a fold star I pressed 'disagree'. Any moderator can help?
Tsk.
Geo, the easiest way is to go back, once you have refreshed the page, and you can alter your rating.

Ugh.
I hate the Big Bang Carrot.

The gen rubber strap is really more confortable than the rep one ....
MUCH more comfortable. Not as scratchy and envelopes the wrist, clinging without effort. Most people wouldn't spend $100 or so dollars for an OEM rubber diver (via Risti), but if you guys can, do.
Golfman, did you post photos already of your 111? I am giving you an agree, thinking you already did, if not I'll change it.

Embarrasingly, the thread (and it IS thread! I assure you I don't have white arm hair)
Slai, it wasn't your arm hair we thought it was...

Ok thats a little more information than I really wanted to know.
I [censored] up [censored] and the [censored] gave my sheets a dirtpipe milkshake.

Cheers Vic, what is the story behind that pic?
Very simple. Too simple.
Girl simply went up behind her brother (correction!), to hug him, and his mate holding the camera said make a funny face. I believe they were at a ski lodge, but I'm not sure!
I got permission to use the photo, so long as I never revealed the names.

I've got a 111 also
Shundi! You rascal. It's beautiful.
And a lot of the people whose tastes I admire, have a 111. Hmmm.
My real love are the base models, like V and TWP say. But frankly, yes, I'll go with the gen 111.
@Iglutikut: Nice!

@Vic - the Silix Daytonas, silix-prime or from his watchsilix site?
I'm thinking of getting one from Tonyxkf, working japanese chrono for about $100.
Ooh, very nice. But mum doesn't need a fancy one. The 27 Euro one from Silix (yes, watchsilix) will do her.

FRIDAY
Fancy a dip in the pool with my new Slytech?
Rolli, thank you so much! Hard to photograph, but easy to love.
I like 'em BIG. Really BIG.
Is it a diamond? Or a Toscana Carbon?
Splashhhhhhhh!
SATURDAY
This Germano tan strap is FABULOUS.
Light as a feather.
And pretty as a picture.
SUNDAY
Andrew's Cartier Tankissime in YG will grace my wrist today.

Good post idea, Rima.

2- White Daytona w/ silver registers from Silix
3- Full gold Daytona (for mum) from Silix
4- TT blue Sub Rolex (for mum) from Joshua
5- PAM 229 from Andrew
All these will have to wait a while as I am flat broke.

Evildee! Welcome back!
And with such a beautifully posed photo and watch. Other than Newton's Law, what is holding up the watch?
-
On a side note-
When I was changing out the oem strap to the MP Strap, I found one of the pins was stripped. I guess this is a common problem? I think there is a pin everyone recommends as the best? What is the name and where can I buy them????
A collector by the name of River sells them, but so does Davidsen. Both their details are available to Supporters, so you may want to consider upgrading your membership at some point.
Also, Sean, you are one of the best new guys here but A LOT of your questions can easily be answered without a post.
Searching "springbars" or say, "stripped Panerai" (heh), would've gotten you the response. I only say this because RWGers usually give newbies that reply ("Use Search!"), so definitely don't take it the wrong way. It's just how it is here, capiche?
I'll PM you the info, this time, since you got the Biscotto -- a man of taste!

Late model 111J with the new strap change system and the roller CG lever.
CONGRATS, SLAI! No more Slai Shots in the near future from you, because I'm sure you'll be showing the world the full watch.
I would!
(You know, me and my big mouth. Here I am blabbing to the world that I'm getting a gen this, a gen that, and so far, no gen PAM. That's it. Radio silence on the topic. Next post you'll see about it, will be me just wearing the bloody thing)
-
......... now that that is done, i need to start researching my next PAM & Strap
Yay! Well done, boyo. Looks a treat.
(Are you in Belgique?)
Since the thread has been deleted, allow a non-related comment about this Simona strap.
...doesn't that look JUST like V's Devil Red strap? Only his is better & cheaper.

A heady opinion, but since you're a very well-known, seasoned member, this makes me sit up and notice, AD.
See, TeeJay? This is what I fear.
I'm pretty sure he takes care of his older, repeat customers, but I have a funny sensation he doesn't with the newer ones. I got rid of Paul, because of these lemon problems, and so far, I would only return to Jay, who has similar QC issues (like those who have dealt with Tony, that's because there's an established relationship).
...although Sssurfer is apparently an older, repeat customer -- having to send 3 bad watches in a row, well, not good.
Sssurfer, thank you so much for this review! I am still in your debt, for which I cannot apologise enough. More hopefully soon.![:(](https://rwg.cc/datastore/emoticons/emoticons/default_sad.png)
