I know Lord Rasta said this PAM looks good next to a Super Bowl ring (maybe so, since they're both overkill)... ...but IN GENERAL, this trend is despicable.

Roll call.. How many RWG members have a genuine Panerai?
Victoria replied to V's topic in The Panerai Area
Agreed 100%, V. I adore simple, clean PAM dials -- the 232 is a big turn-on precisely because of that. Yes, even if I am interested in a busy 192 or 228 GMT dial, I still agree that plain is best. But you see, I suffer from PAM Repitis: I want to get a gen Panerai of which a perfect rep doesn't exist. (Frankly, the DSN 112 isn't perfect, but for ME it is. At nearly 5k, I can't justify the double-dip) -
Please forgive a bump of this old thread, but I'm interested: Who else other than the gentlemen who responded, has tried this Oxyclean thingie procedure? Difficulties, suggestions, etc. (I am thinking of getting a 192!)

Not at all. George has said that before, Star, many times. I guess some (most) of us read his woes and we feel utterly powerless; it's hard to know how to reply. How can life be so unfair to him? And to POTR, Cats, and to so many right now, who are struggling with a series of problems. George, you know you have my prayers, and moreover, my compassion when I read your cri de coeur posts. That's why I don't take many of the things you say against women, etc. to heart. Because you're in pain. That said, there is no pity in my prayers -- just love. I'm sure that's true of everyone here. @George: LOL! Well, let's say, not that woman.

Though I adore the 112, I admit, I'm going to buy the 111 instead. Or the 005. (Maybe both at the same time...I've been thinking with my OCD personality, I won't be happy with one immediately) -
Corgi, my mum is next to me as I type this and wants you to know this is her favourite Wristcheck. And also, where did you buy yours -- we're in for one. TIA! @Tech: Coming from you, that makes me feel great! And don't worry, DSN kindly included the brushed CG. I asked him to keep the polished CG on, so I can see the diff.

Good deal, Yellomen. You don't want to look like a guy trying to be oh-so-cool, when you'll be pushing 50. That's Tony Bourdain's thumbring. (My mum pronounces it like you spelt it)

Let's see if I can guess: V, Golfman, Kruzer00, Wheaton, Swdivad, Maikel, ... (There's Hooligan, but he's on RWI) EDIT: Oops, sorry. I didn't realise Hooligan was here. I just figured it out due to a Wristcheck, ID and winkie below. Hey babe! Ex-owners: Asad, ... Future owners: Guess who! ... -
WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY My DSN 113 is here! I am not taking this off for two days, AT LEAST. White-dial PAMs are sublime. This is an OEM Tantalium Butterscotch strap on a polished Davidsen deployant. OEM straps are runty little things, which aren't worth $300. But I tell you, they still rock. Panerai in Paradise... Hope you liked my latest PAM. (Come on, Golfman. Show off that beauty again!)

Yay! I'm feelin' the 232 love, dawg. (Sorry, I was channeling Randy Jackson there) I just got Loctite blue for my 232, so I can wear it in peace. I felt the screws were going to come out any moment! Love this watch, Sharpie. Hope the Midweek Wristies come out soon!

What TV series are you currently watching?
Victoria replied to DemonSlayer's topic in The looney bin
Oh, if we can mention that kind of series, I'm in! I watch: Mythbusters Dirty Jobs No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern Man V. Wild (he still drank cow dung and slept inside camels' entrails, okay) And though I don't watch the Food Network regularly, I love Giada de Laurentiis. I have never watched one seconds' worth of Survivor, Big Brother and any of that tosh. -
Trust you to notice, thanks Sssurfer! Now if only I had been paying attention to the dial... I checked, and it's not like DSN can send me another dial. All of his 113s have the same width numbers -- check out my cheapo $160 Andrew PAM 113e (with brushed CG). WTF, the 12 is closer to gen...

5.7" here, but with sturdy Celtic bone-structure. All in good time, mon ami Doug. Midweek Wristchecks will have 6 photos, at least! The only thing which worries me, is that the hour markers look VERY thin. Why didn't I notice that before?? Compare the gen to mine above: That 3 and 12 are KILLING ME. Overall, the DSN 113 just screams quality. The heft, the polish, the finishing. I'm sorry -- I'm a sucker for his watches. I won't have as good a model, until I get a gen.

Davidsen didn't answer my PM last night, and I heard Ruby went to her relatives for 10 days. They must already be celebrating. (The only thing I can liken it to, is in America they don't do anything in the Mon-Tues-Wed leading up to Thanksgiving, on a Thurs! It's one long office party)
-
Thanks, Doug! I am blessed with being slight, but having medium bones so I BELIEVE it sits well on my wrist. Others may disagree though. The DSN 113h arrived. Here is a preview. Your thoughts are MOST appreciated, guys!

Copy-cat! Only yours is sooo much better. BTW, Vlydog had been looking for you, Ubi.

More comedy gold from...well, no names as requested. But I think we all know who it is. Jaymoi, I think that person is confusing you with someone else. Box? "i think i not have any reason togive you bad chanel and bad chanel box." Did you mention a box to him/her? Basically, they are giving you the brush-off. Don't take it. Point them to this thread.

Well, gold Rolex, certainly. -

My boyfriend watches that. And Stargate Atlantis on Sci-Fi. He says he'll get me DVD sets of both series so we can enjoy it together, but I declined...it's just a ploy to control the clicker when we're married. EDIT: OOOPS. On the phone now, my bf is raking me over the coals. It's BATTLESTAR GALACTICA! Not Stargate. -
Yes, but we've established that a lot of your female friends are the opposite of the mean -- they don't like Rolexes, and women adore them. So I feel comfortable that I shall like/enjoy/appreciate/wet my pants over The Big Lebowski. Oh, BTW, chick flicks, whilst a quaint and handy term, tends to narrow tastes unduly. One only has to utter "chick flick" these days, to see men flee in horror from a cinema. Me, I hated Borat and loved The Devil Wears Prada. But I love John Ford Westerns and you can throw all the Dirty Dozen type films at me that you can carry. Something About Mary was literally filmed in my backyard. LOVED IT.

Does this count? "The Naked Archaeologist", on History International. Excerpt: "Fast, funny and irreverent (think the Ali G. of archaeology), Jacobovici asks the questions we all want to know the answers to: Why is it so bad to be called a Philistine? Was Jezebel really that sexy? What do you do when you find a 2,000-year-old palace under your house? And where do you stop for a good falafel when you're on your way to find the real Mount Sinai?" I don't watch regular television; even in the UK I didn't. It's bad, because whenever a British or American person says, hey didn't you see that episode in Seinfeld/Neighbours, I have to say, no clue. My father restricted my telly viewing to one hour per day, and we didn't have TV privileges at boarding school until one reached the 5th form -- so it was weaned out of me very early. The last British regular series I watched was "Dr. Finlay". The last American series I watched was "Sex and the City". -
Favourite photo of the Wristcheck, so far. And Laz' shot is charming!

THANK YOU. This is such a help to ANY NEWBIE here, even if I won't act on it right away. I'm too cheap. And I've yet to see the Big Lebowski. Why I only just saw Ron Burgundy, so I'm behind the cult film times.
