Hey! If you had said you were coming to South Florida, I would've recommended some awesome diving places for you. Like Key Largo's "Jules Lodge" -- an underwater hotel! http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/5...underwater.html You take your scuba gear down with you to your "room". A little claustrophobic, but like that ice-hotel in Sweden, an once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Welcome back, Sssurfer! I can't believe the latest shots from Action Man. First climbing the Dolomites, now swimming with the sharks. I say again, I say a dozen times -- WHAT A MAN! Some of my favourite shots include: Considering you could've used your gen PAMs, this speaks a lot that you would take the 050 with you. BTW, TeeJay also took his SS bracelet to go swimming, on a trip to Spain. Is yours the tapered kind of bracelet? BTW, nice hotel! Magnificent. You cannot imagine how impressed I am! My favourite underwater photo. That moray eel looks vicious. Like all good men, you are taken. Drat. Never been to Madagascar, but had a good friend at school who was from there (she was Indian). Not to deviate too much from your watch story, but how did you like the country? How was the local cuisine, e.g.? What a great shot that is. Even with the Speedo. Thanks Sssurfer! I didn't leave a welcome back message this time, on your profile, as I thought you might think I were stalking you. P.S.: Have another bout of the bronchitis, so I've been dilatory about you know what. Expect something from me soon. AND GRAZIE!

Let me introduce you to.... Fvcktard Geordie Ian

HAH! I was just about to remonstrate with a Mod about not having yet deleted an obvious spam post here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=58451 Where a "1" post count "member" had suggested that JohnnyBSurfing try out their site (included in the .sig for good measure). It was up for a few days. But the joke is on me, since I notice the spam and my reply saying something like "bye-bye" are gone. You guys must never sleep. -
Wow, Dutchy! It seems you're already thinking of summer, and hopefully this means you've settled down a bit since Uni started. I'm with the other gentlemen -- no emails or telephones. Let me think...YOU COULD TRY the aggressive route and connect with them on Facebook or LinkedIn. Rolex Officers: [EDIT - search Google] Richemont Officers: [EDIT - search Google] (If they are there. Hey, a similar approach worked for me in international banking...) Or you could take a day trip down to London, and browse around the various branches. Go well dressed, with a CV just in case. In my University (my God 2nd mention of the day), there used to be headhunters who would come to ask for potential internists, so make sure a tutor of confidence or foreign student liaison knows your interest in watches. Good luck! EDIT: Oops! So right. Sorry about that, Cornerstone.

That looks very similar to the one I got TeeJay! A TC version. http://timeconnection.biz/Merchant2/mercha...Product_Count=6 I like it, to answer your specific question. It's not as nice as the one Hambone has, but then he got his custom-made from an exotic leather site. OTOH, I've been told that Walter straps are of very good quality. I recently stupidly passed on a Metta Catherina done by him. I do have ONE Walter, for his PVD series, and am forced to admit it's not a favourite. The leather isn't as good as what I expected. Here is a closeup, with SC buckle.

SORTA. He's a bit mannered as a director. A whimsical David Mamet, if you will... Yes, I have Darjeeling Limited queued, but just for personal enjoyment. EDIT: He is a very well-dressed man, and is known for his nattiness in fact. I have been trying to find out if he's into watches, without luck. Good. I'll watch it happily with my parents then. I am always suspicious when critics trash this kind of film. EDIT: Queen Latifah's "Last Holiday" being a case in point. Critics thought it was just quaint even silly, but I thought it hit precisely the mark it aimed. Nice watch sightings too. Heh. Yes, not his best effort then, though there were moments towards the end (as a prosecution attorney cutting a deal) where he was very effective. But as you say, not as a cop. A DVD-rip! Ah right. That is possible, since it's award season soon. A connection over at Paramount told me they are trying to dig the mole who is leaking these kinds of DVDs. They are apparently close...(scary shark music). Personally, though not a fan of conspiracy theories, I say it's done calculatedly by some.

Yes, Lazarescu is one of those grainy, gritty films which make foreign film buffs go into paroxysms of delight. I'm always amused when that happens, although I'm not suggesting it wasn't a worthy (in fact, a needed) effort. It shows a new maturity in Romanian cinema, which excites me. I was already excited about Caranfil's "Filantropica", which you perhaps watched, but now, the sky is the limit. Yay! Definitely. Still, no one would confuse "Pixote" with a comedy, though it's very funny at times. Darling, nor do I! Except, well, as a kind of mental masturbation, the same kind of joy to be found in reading reviews about say, a Vacheron Constantin on a rep forum group. You know the thing -- something which is of infinite interest to people who love that sort of thing, but would possibly have others scratching their heads. But in this day and age, where a ticket costs so much, far more in Europe than in the US, your average non-cinephile needs a bare-bones guide to each potential film. I'm sure you can agree about that, yes? See above.
-
ACK! That is a shame, but I appreciate the tip, H&P! I was hoping it was as over-the-top as "300", which I adored. I read a few lines into your review, but ironically, in my contract I have a clause which says I cannot go into a film I will be reviewing, having been exposed to previous reviews. I BELIEVE this is one of those films, for a South American paper, although I haven't formally been informed. It debuts a week after the US one in that country. I'm still rather excited though. As it is, due to my cold, I might have to watch the screener rather than go to the cinemas. Sucks. :-/

Agreed. Not a huge Michael Caine fan (as in actor) but I thought he was very decent in Educating Rita, and was fantastic in Hannah and her Sisters. Being a football fan, though he was fairly wooden in this film (so was everyone else, including incredibly Max von Sydow), I loved him in Victory. He fills a niche in the character actor genre which is fast disappearing... P.S.: Never seen it, but dad says he liked him in Zulu. Heh.

Oh come on, TeeJay. Not every director has to be mind-alteringly intellectual. Some have vision, some don't. I wouldn't have given Sidney Lumet Transformers to direct, just as surely no one would trust James Cameron/Michael Bay and that ilk to direct, "12 Angry Men". Don't be embarrassed by thinking it's shameful to enjoy a popcorn film. Entertainment is a good thing too, right? Wonderful! Thanks for the info. I will be buying the DVD (well, "pre-viewed" from Blockbusters when it hits $9.99, as is my wont) and re-watch Transformers with this in mind. I like how Megan Fox is a greasemonkey, since I don't know the least thing about cars.

In January, my local Kiehl's boutique has a super-blowout sale. The lip balm which I buy for $12, is half off. I make sure I stock up on EVERYTHING. Apart from being a Watch Queen, I'm also a Lotion Queen. You should see my en suite bathroom -- looks like the Lanc

Possibly my favourite of your watches, TMG. Guess what I just bought? EDIT: For my father, not me obviously! Really cheap, and yes, not accurate. What do you think though? ...my own Wristcheck shots will be delayed. Still sickly. SUCKS.

That would be awesome, Lani. Sure, most people have no reactions, but if we can avoid future problems with some, based on info, that would help. And confession -- recently I cleaned my 112. No gloves. I'm retarded. Well, Kiehl's lip balm went up too. You have to factor that into the BJ price.

"I give you every ting foh twenty figh dolla!". Sorry, a little Me So Horny flashback. ANYWAY, DBR wrote in that thread that the petroleum jelly in Cape Cod cloths are why some people have bad reactions. Maybe he'll comment here tomorrow.

'Twas me. I had a breakout of angry red spots all over my palms, which spread up and down my arms. My palms were peeling for WEEKS. I didn't use gloves, plus used 2 other lotions alongside the CC (leather conditioner + diamond paste) and I KNOW I have an allergic profile since childhood, so that was REALLY dumb. Oh Christmas, Lanikai. Poor thing. You'll be sleeping for a while on the Benadryl, so take care. Amen. Else 4 weeks later, and your palm will look like this:

Ah, you mean the so-called White Trashers crucifying a fake Panerai to a tree? Anyway, I like Nanuq's better.

Unfortunately, I'm always a little wary of saying these kinds of things, Stevethebest. First, Italy has so many different regional customs, as I don't need to tell someone like you, that such a gift would be impossible to say "In Italy". And what is true of one social class, is also not true of others. When I was a kid, I once read that "In Italy" there was a tradition that the mother of a son who needs his first shave, upon reaching puberty, is the one who takes out the razor, lathers him up and shaves him. So when I made friends with an Italian girl, years later at boarding school, I asked her about this tradition. She was mortally offended. "WHAT! Of course that doesn't happen. That happens only with some Sicilian peasants, but where I come from, that's ridiculous! Are you a Morris dancer?". Point taken. It's hard to be 13. Ahh, that's wonderful though. I'll use the saying soon.

Just to say that I too made a donation during an Admin Shout-out for them, but in my case, I had wanted an upgrade. I think that's what delayed my own upgrade at the time, for which I cannot fault anyone. One has to be specific in saying what it was for.

Aroma, shiatsu or tantric sex? Anyway, as to Anton's inimitable question (yay! he's back with them!), I bet you I'm like most people here. I see a watch I like on RWG, and I go for it. But it so happens that when I actually get it and start wearing it, I notice my neighbours get one too. So what came first, the chicken follower or the egg trend-setter? I know! Because it had to cross the road. P.S.: Obviously, people like to think they never copy others. But that's hogwash, unless you're a hermit. Being the kind of person who says they're NEVER influenced by others is a bit creepy, and narcissistic too.

Isn't that Joe, the modder banned from here? I've seen his work...let's hope he has closeups of that watch. -
Back from Greece with an exciting new hide for straps...
Victoria replied to V's topic in The Panerai Area
I'd never leave the house if I had your skills. That strap looks like you've been wearing it non-stop for two days! It must be so soft. -
I feel like someone just farted in Church.
