  1. Yes! Read it too. you preach a convinced. I must admit I'm trying to find some arguments to not buy this MBW 5513.
  2. Thank you Mike. I already mod a new cartel, and I just wonder how this MBW case was better. I read so many good things about it. I'm tempted, I need to find funds…
  3. Hello ! I'm an happy new owner of a nice RolexAddict 1675 bought m2m on this forum few days ago. In order to remove previous owner fingers prints inside plexi, I dismounted the watch. I was surprised to find this movement and I wonder if it's gen or clone. I have read How to tell"Swiss"or "Asian" thread on RWI, but I can't say for sure if it's Swiss. Some opinions would be appreciated. Thanks !
  4. Not for 1680 dial If I understood correctly. And don't cartel take gen parts too ?
  5. Sorry for the noob question, but I'm trying to compare pics with the new cartel 5512/3 I own. I don't see much differences. Fat crown, cg, thick bezel. As I don't have expert eyes, I think I'm wrong. Could an expert tell me the pros of this watch compared to new josh case ?
  6. Nothing. I have not been wise enough ...
  7. thank you for clarifying. I'm in rep world since August, I still have so many things to learn
  8. could you tell me what is a mill CN case ? And is this a good or bad thing ? As I found a RolexAddict 1675, I'm hesitating between sell it or keep it to make a 1680. Sorry for the noob question
  9. Hi ! Bought this gmt m2m last September. It's a nice but not accurate watch. By curiosity, I decided to dismantle it and I notice the case is slightly engraved between lugs. ORIG ROLEX DESIGN 1680(?) on one side and STAINLESS STEEL 2652174 on the other. Case back engraved 5513. can someone help me identify this case ?
  10. [emoji4] Take a look at my 5512 work, and tell me what you think about please. http://rwg.cc/index.php?/topic/181100-First-mod-5512
  11. Hi ! After working on my silix 6538 http://rwg.cc/index.php?/topic/181731-Another-Silix-6538-project, I wanted to improve this josh 5512. To resume, I modded the dial few weeks ago with a noob horoloex lume kit and matt varnish spray. The insert was bleached to ghost. Today I relumed the dial with nemoto Green GLL-300F. The recipe is lume powder, matt varnish and a few Terre de Sienne pigment. Partially lose some dial dots paint, due to old baking mod try. Hands relumed to match. Lug holes drilled to 1.3mm. Crown guards shaved. Case sanded with 240, 400, 600, 1000 paper successively. Then polished. Bezel slightly sanded and polished. Next thing to do will be to change crown with an Athaya 700 or 702, and plexi. Thanks for looking guys.
  12. Find a good gen 6538 lug photo, then have a good feeling before start. First I cut top lug edge with dremel #402 disk without trembling. Be careful, it shave quickly. And I correct with #431. I sand mid case side and bevel separately to keep the edge. 240, 400, 600, 1000 sand paper successively. 1500 would be better to finish but I can't find it in my place. Then polish side and bevel separately. Always separately to keep the chamfers edges. I don't know if it's the good way, but it worked for me.
  13. Thanks ! I make circles on sand paper. Don't know if it's the better way, but it work.
  14. I'm not so on. I have to study 5512 before. And I need to find some CG multi angles focus pictures. Pointed Crown Guards are my favorites.
  15. Very nice build JackFlash ! After my 6538, I will try to mod my josh 5512 soon. CG particularly. Need to study more on that. I don't want to miss it. I I have too 6538 cases, this time only one.
