  1. forgot about this thread. They all ended up back in the box they came in and in my basement; never actually got around to wearing or washing them. Oh well, live and learn.
  2. I can never get on RWI anymore phpBB : Critical Error Error doing DB query userdata row fetch DEBUG MODE SQL Error : 1016 Can't open file: 'phpbb_users.MYI'. (errno: 145) SELECT u.*, s.* FROM phpbb_sessions s, phpbb_users u WHERE s.session_id = '54f3e1eefb0bba8a091e0c2adc3ef710' AND u.user_id = s.session_user_id Line : 323 File : sessions.php
  3. I want it.... but I don't need it (now) and can wait for it to drop a good bit in price. If you give me the words "$600" "chrono" and "rep" I also expect to hear "swiss movement"
  4. For some reason I always loose that argument when my girlfriend metions the word "chanel purse" or "Jimmy Choo shoes." These two items are my worst enemy, followed by some dude named "Marc Jacobs" who I swear she is cheating on me with as much as she talks about him.
  5. Everyone should be VERY skepitcal of a new watch that is posted on a dealer website and not here; dealers are now completely unaccountable for their private listings. I might insist on a listing here before purchasing. I am very happy Admin has come up with a good solution. I hope the sites out there don't turn into replica center.
  6. As said above, he is talking about jay of silix-prime. Amazing guy, he sourced a dial for me I needed just last week. He and sash are both very nice and helpful.
  7. Only if it is the B&R... The price is ridiculous on some of these new offerings; once a rep gets to be a certain % of the cost of a gen it just isn't worth it to me.
  8. You are correct, some of them certainly will not pan out and out and people will get ripped; but people got ripped by our "trusty" dealers on the B&R as well - lots of people. Also, price control in the aggregate costs. I took a chance on sash and have been very, very happy. Everyone can afford to try a new guy on occasion....
  9. Wow, impressive thread. Thanks edge. I can add that there is no real reason for the "Maker" (did someone watch the matrix one too many times?) to set the final price on a watch. I seriously doubt this is happening (there are a few minor reasons why but highly unlikely). If prices are being set, they would be set by the cartel. I have personally noticed prices going higher with a group of dealers and have taken my business elsewhere / buy fewer reps. I believe the solution here is simply to have more dealers (who are unaffiliated).
  10. humm http://www.rwg.cc/members/Tag-Heuer-Monaco...een-t20292.html It was working earlier and I did not change it.... strange happenings.
  11. I ran across a pic of pugwash's friend with his cellular phone & just could not resist posting it. Silly image shack; it should be working now.
  12. In the US, it is "tard" not "tart" that is short for reTARD.
  13. Famous moment in l33t history
  14. yes more! I only liked the first of those.
  15. "leet speak" or "l33t sp34k" really annoying except I love the term "owned"
  16. Interesting you kept your nautilus. I let mine go; the bracelet was not as smooth as I would like (I am guessing you fixed yours w/ a little oil). The numerals on your dial are nice and straight though; mine looked a little off. It is a very accurate rep; I compared it to the gen and was impressed. I guess I just felt like I wasn't able to pull off a nautilus quite yet in life.... I decided the VC overseas was a better representation of that look for me (a tad younger and sportier). The nautlius is very distinguished, although a little 80s perhaps? The daytonas make me drool.
  17. No offense intended if this is you.
  18. wow you went to town on that thing
  19. So many new reps; the problem is I don't like any of them
  20. There is an outlet at woodberry (sp?) outside of NYC, a couple other outlets. Most online are fake.
  21. Check w/ sash on here, the case is 1:1, but the date window is not a trapazoid as it should be, the cross on it is incorect, and no AR coating. It is a very nice watch.
  22. Correct me if I am wrong guys, but quality of asian movements has always INCREASED, not decreased. Particularly the 7750. I am convinced they are slowly getting this figured out until they reach roughly the same level as the swiss. Slowly getting the precision necessary, better machinery, etc. I think it just needs time and will come on its own.
  23. Not a big fan; but have yet to see one repped well. You could always ask around. You check with narikka? Sometimes he has that sort of random stuff.
