  1. That is it in a nutshell.
  2. I have 6 watches in my rotation, 5 reps 1 gen.. i wear them all equally... i also have 2 other gens i wear periodically. they are all in good condition, although I am kinda tuff on my stuff but the reps wear as well as the gens do.... no real scrathes or blemishes that cannot be polished out.
  3. We can call it "As the Stomach Churns"
  4. Not to jump on the band wagaon, but your daughter is beautiful. You're very lucky.
  5. Wow, i really like it... i am surprised at how good the aftermarket bracelet looks.. especially the endlinks.
  6. we get minutes? cool....
  7. Fine. But why not call it an "eta copy" if that is what it is?
  8. Maybe.. but than again, how would you explain Andrew's explanaton on the difference between a Swiss ETA 2892 and an ETA 2892.
  9. Pug doesn't need my defence or anyone elses here for that matter, but I will reiterate, his actions constitute a community service and should be thanked for bringing the issue to the forefront. As for examples, there are countless in that thread. For example, and this is not meant to be an attack on any specific dealer, but you cannot honestly think that description of the B&R ETA 2892 movement is not misleading. Look this is not a personal issue.. the objective as i see it is constuctive.. address the issue, institute labeling standards, and move on.
  10. nice.
  11. congratulations. I am in awe ... i mean of the malt whiskey, not the posts... ok the posts too!
  12. The tone of his posts on this thread is kind of odd. He seems to be taking this very personally
  13. That was my impression as well, and I thought it was reprehensible. For some reason I cannot seem to locate the thread today however...
  14. Well Mr. Pug. it appears that they have locked your topic over on the Dark Side.
  15. What exactly is a "synthetic saphire'... isn't it just pexi-glass, and if so, why not just say it?
  16. Boy, are you ever right about that. Talk about conflict of interest.
  17. I don't usually frequent that site but I did just now to review the thread in question. The attack on you is outrageous. I do not blame you for being [censored].
  18. Boy, talk about the bloom coming off the rose...
  19. I agree... My g/f is very good about putting up with my indulgences, but she really does not get this. I get some pretty deep sighs sometimes
  20. Well that is a very strong disclaimer.. and I think it is great that he came out with it. The only thing I have ever purchased from Reg are Pens and tools, but he always came accross well, and he fixed a problem I had with a Pen in lightening speed. These kind of responses and validations go along way with me.
  21. I viewed the movie on "Movies on Demand" sometime ago last year, and also thought it was terrific. If memory serves, I beleive this was filmed shortly following his brain tumor surgery, and Neil and his entrourage seem very reflective in the interviews. I agree, the music is first rate, Emmy Lou is terrific. And Peggy Young surprised me as well. As big a fan as I am, I did not realize she was that active in his shows.
  22. Is this the new ".. shortest thread...?"
  23. Neil, reading through these posts, I think it fair to say you have been excluded from the ranks of dealers who may have... umm.. misrepresented certain aspects of their products. In fact in several posts folks have gone out of there way to acknowledge that fact. I will say though that the more I read here, the more I value the QC component of your service, and the more likely I am to purchase from you going forward, notwithstanding the concerns over timeliness of delivery. It is more than a fair trade-off.
  24. there goes that *ponk* sound again! sound
