  1. Update: Emailed the winning bidder and rec'd this: Dear xxxxxxxxx, Thanks for watching my back, pardon the pun. I am very new to this and don't know the differences on dial print and date font. I have asked the seller more questions. I have not completed the transaction. I asked the following:If watch is new, send digital pictures of original breitling papers that came with the watch. Also, what is serial number on back casing (send digital photo). What is name, address and phone number of watch appraisal company you used. Thanks for your help and just wondering if there is any sure fire way to see if this is a fake without completing the transaction and getting it delivered? Thoughts? - winning bidder
  2. Update: To those of you who have PM'd me looking to purchase a gen seamaster or constellation and have questions regarding the movement: the rate is still between +-1 per day however the rate per week is down to +2... the watch also has winding efficiency near that of the Rolex Cal 3035 meaning it can stay wound even if you sit at a desk for eight hours a day (or, in my case, chase people around Wall Street and scream at the board while watching the market burn).
  3. I've heard good things but I'd recommend using the search button... I feel like someone's done a comparison or review...
  4. Agreed... no way you're pulling this off as a male...
  5. I agree with Dani, not my thing but I can see how it could be appealing to some.
  6. LR is on the money! Good luck and welcome!! Check out the new member raffle and you might just have a new Breitling too
  7. Ok Sbreene has thrown in 1 million shares of WaMu stock... we've got $5.78 folks, who will contribute the rest
  8. Any chance you could use something like Videora to shrink the size/ output method and thus the file size?
  9. Very nice, loving the pilot style... I need to pick one of these up!
  10. My 253 wears quite comfortably... most of it's just the crystal
  11. Double AR is a beautiful thing to behold (esp on something like the Superocean Heritage I just received ) however as LordRasta said, single sided won't scratch if it's internal... decisions decisions....
  12. I blame Ken...
  13. What is this, /b/ ?
  14. I questioned him on the authenticity in a private email and he replied "Of course it is authentic...why do you think I have so many pictures?"

  18. Echoing tick on the Asian ETA... can't see any stamps under the balance wheel... and I can't recall the exact detail but the shock protection on the balance looks different (I think ETA uses KiF and Incabloc... didn't The Zigmeister say this is some sort of 3 leaf hybrid?)
  19. I use a ball of duct tape or neoprene gloves... also, use constant steady force not wrenching
  20. Hmm...interesting idea... forward any ideas to Harvey Dent I guess if you clue it to the tabs it'll prob. be fine...
  21. In my experience, most "simple" reps (IE- Submariners, SFSO) are somewhat safe in this regard... I generally (bare minimum) make sure the caseback is tightened but once I have time I grease the caseback and thread gaskets if present (Rolex for example). I've taken my SFSO and SSD diving with no issues at all (not always recommended ... you never know if the HE valve is faulty, etc - I had them pressure checked) so in my opinion (far from expert) I'd say most anything with a screwdown crown and secure caseback should be fine for domestic stuff / a shower... best thing to do is have the WR checked by a professional.
  22. Looks beautiful... I did a cruise to Alaska from Vancouver a few years back when I completed by BS... helicopter to the glaciers and all that. Amazingly beautiful state.
  23. Wow...stunning watch! Wear it well!
  24. Dear God...that is horrific...
