  1. ear rings? Or you can save them for selling your Grade AAA swiss Replicas BTW, you have 14 gens???
  2. The dial is the best I've ever seen, I used this one in my MBW TT. The date font is also very good, as a tradition for noob datewheels. MBW's font is terrible indeed. Good to know they fixed the crown, maybe they did it in BK's way? I guess you decided to keep it Great review, as usually Thank you BT for the article.
  3. Not sure, but isn't yacht master crown ref. 24-703-0, same as modern sub? 7mm..
  4. useful post by stilty: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=66457
  5. ETA date fonts are wrong, just you use a standard rep (i.e noob) overlay, this should align correctly.
  6. I guess they're here: http://s303.photobucket.com/albums/nn154/eurotimez/CG%20mod
  7. Look at point 4. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=52163
  8. You can try to ask a dealer for a rep insert, but to use a real better insert you'd better buy an aftermarket one and work on it.
  9. Submariner 16610 is fitted with springbars 23-12200 (also known by the old reference 23-9291)
  10. In the description it says: "The gasket is not proper for a Submariner, but is proper for other gents datejust oyster models, such as case 16018 and gents Presidential models, such as 18038." The other one at 250$ doesn't have a crystal gasket included.. Anyway.. you can use the rep gasket
  11. I don't know CN factory plan, but modern submariner is the most replicated watch in the world. Like all the other modern models.. Not sure that the factory actually cares about vintage accuracy. Just a thought.
  12. The gen LV dial is stunning and hard to find. Gen dial really makes a difference. So this doesn't fit an MBW but could fit a TW best case, right?. I guess Joshua's perfect is based on this one. Wear it well
  13. I guess that in 6-7 months CN factory finally will copy the 3135 movement, it's funny that they copied everything but the rolex movement.
  14. Correct, only a thinner mov like 2892 or a st18 could fix the problem. Crown is a bit too low.
  15. @kevin: noob clasp is really poor, while WM9 clasp is great. So if you want to use the noobmariner bracelet just use WM9 clasp. If you don't mind to have solid mid links you can keep the whole WM9 bracelet. I'm not sure noob bracelet could fit. Clark hands are really luminous, it's not necessary to replace the hands here, but I had a spare set, so.. 10$ more is not a big deal Date mag on rep is usually too strong, and sometimes it is misaligned. WM9 crystal is good, except for the etched crown too big. @chieftang: yeah, not so original another 16610 Clark told me he's gonna sourcing also LV hands soon. @edwin: My watchmaker sometimes has some spare genuine parts. Ebay has it listed, at a crazy price.
  16. The WM9 bracelet comes with incorrect solid mid links, but with a better clasp and coronet, compared to other reps. I can only compare this gen with a noob or homer's bracelet, the only two I own..(forgetting the wrong MBW's) Theese are the main differences I noticed: On the genuine, the steel is harder. It's more difficult to scratch and also to polish/satin finish. I couldn't polish it as well as I aimed The general look is more "plain" and "clean". The colour is slighty lighter. The sound is not the cheapy typical rep sound. Feeling is different. About the clasp, coronet shape is different, and pins have a little hole to avoid the scratches while sizing. There are really good (and expensive, 200$+) aftermarket bracelets, really close to gen. But they come without any marks, and you'll have to add at least the clasp. But side by side with a standard rep, a genuine bracelet makes a huge difference.
  17. Well, I was lucky enought to find some good deals, and the weak dollar helped me a lot. (I'm in EU) Stephane you're right about the second hand sub, maybe when I'll get bored one day, I'll re-sell the genuine parts for buying a gen. Not a big deal.. As rosnik said, this is more or less how much I paid.. Bezel and insert: 250$, I like it a lot, you can just replace the insert and have a pretty good bezel. Crystal: 120$, a must, WM9 etched crown was terrible like the SSD's Crown: 90$, not necessary as WM9's has the same genuine specs. As suggested by Tribal I kept the rep tube. Noob dial: can't remember, but I'd say around 30$ Bracelet: 500$. It was a real bargain converted in EU.. You can use a rep bracelet + WM9 clasp and it looks great anyway. More ore less 1500$, and 3 months spent on my hobby Thanks you for the comments!
  18. The dial is not genuine, it's a noobmariner one, so the overlay is the standard overlay of all submariner reps. Actually this is a datewheel from an MBW Sub..
  19. A gen bezel insert could fit with just a little bit of shaving, it's an easy mod. A gen bezel won't fit.
  20. http://cgi.ebay.com/ROLEX-GMT-MASTER-16710...8603531QQihZ022
  21. Yes, it is one of the best version out of the box. The other good one is the Noob version, check here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=52158
  22. A gen bezel is a great improvement on WM9 sub, because bezel teeth lack of definition. Also the genuine bezel now sits closer to the case, adding crystal height and avoiding the floating effect of many rep bezel. Otherwise old MBW
  23. WM9 Z-Serial Submariner is not perfect out of the box, but it's a good base for modding, and he proved to be the first 1:1 modern sub ever produced. All genuine parts (except the movement) can fit the rep without mod.. I don
  24. I'm having some date change issues on 2 MBWs, after one month I bought them. The date changes only half way at midnight, the number is not centered vertically, and I have to do it manually to make it right. Does it just need a service, is it just dry, or it's something different? Thanks
