The blue 16014 is a franken, not a rep. Gen case, dial, bracelet crown and crystal. ETA and aftermarket hands. Being from 80's spare parts price was pretty reasonable

The gen dial makes a rep almost impossible to be called out. And as with Daytona, the white dial is my favourite

I saw rolex prices and 93250 in CONUS was 950$ 1 month ago. Here in Italy for a service they charge 400 EUR too, but the worst thing its that if you want i.e the crystal to be replaced, or the dial swapped etc.., they have to service the whole watch. You cannot just buy or replace spare parts.

Yeah, and nobody holding my franken with gen jubilee believe it's real, because it's so light. Maybe because of my "lady size" wrist?

Thanks guys, it's my first gen I picked it up recently in Geneve, so it's truly made from "swiss trained watchmakers" Even if I also like the old stile jubilee, I preferred the new style oyster if compared to the 2007 jubilee with hidden clasp. A bit too easy to scratch, but finally a decent clasp for the DJ, and a much better feeling imho. Reps are beautiful and a great hobby, I'd never go away from it, but every rolex lover should buy at least one gen someday.

No, I mean 116610 Basel sub as well as Deep Sea I know 16710 is a great rep, (I saw all of yours beauty) but I'm talking of "out of the box" rep. And CN and Retro version are really nice, but not "super rep" I remember a great 3d with trusty saying that until factory makes profit, they won't change their model.

I doubt that they will ever replicate the 16610 properly, with the new engraved rehaut version and Basel around the corner, I'm afraid that they will concentrate on newer model and it will end as happened with the 16710, a nice rep, but far from being "perfect" After MBK and his engraved rehaut sub, probably CN will follow that way. And more details mean more flaws. Hope to have said bullsh** BTW WM9 said he want to produce a 3135 copy sub, but first he wants to complete the YM, then the new Daytona. So we're talking about 1,5-2 years.. will factory care of 16610 anymore, as much to build a 3135 proper case?

Hey, don't misunderstand, SSD is a great rep, but no rollies rep are what is used to be called with the term "super rep". First of all because of the movement and the stem allignement, so the crown will ever sit too low until they'll abandon the 2836-2 mov. Then because of the etched crown at 6, i.e mbw is close to gen, but still too visible. Gen etched crown on the crystal is definitely different. SSD has flaws as well as noobmariner. Someone will say noobmariner is better, someone will say the opposite.. you'll have only to choose wich flaws bother you less

160xx uses 2836-2 162xx uses 2824-2 Or a 2892 (ask stilty he built a beautiful one). Youl'll need a spacer ring to fhold the movement in the case, and a correct datewheel overlay. 160xx has open 6 and 9 date font 162xx has closed 6 and 9 font 16xxx series have 20mm lugs.
