  1. I have one. Typical for the IWC factory. The AR is not very good. Certainly no where close to Chieftang's or K2222. Mine is on its way to the next AR run
  2. According to Joshua, the bracelet is soon to come. I think I'll wait myself.
  3. For the 6.75, the date color was initially too red, that has been corrected and is now a more accurate marroon. Still think there are both versions circulating, so make sure you a getting the darker one if you go with the Bentley. Breitlings are known for their strong AR. and the AR on the 6.75. is no where near the gen. (quite an easy tell.) But not a deal breaker, as you can alway send the watch to one of our modders for fixin'
  4. On the contrary, there are many who believe that larger sized watches offer several advantages. "Large watches allow subtle patterns or decorations to be seen and appreciated more easily. The dials, markers, and hands are much more readable. It is much easier to deliver accuracy and reliability in a large watch than in a small watch and shock absorbing, magnetic shielding, water-sealing, finishing, and assembling also become easier with thicker movements and larger cases." I don't buy into the idea that the majority of people wear oversized watches to stave off insecurity. There are many small watches 38mm or less that in the $20,000+ range. In the end, like you said, it is all a matter of preference. If you like the Omega, go for it. (despite what women will think of you)
  5. I got the same watch from Angus. The bezel looks pretty centered (maybe a slight counter-clockwise rotation) and the AR is good IMO. The DW is the only glaring flaw. What say you...? Sorry about the grainy pic...my photographic skills are not so good.
  6. Got my VCO from Jay a few days ago. The band was easy to resize, thank god. I have the same problem as Takashi with the end link gap though. Makes the watch look really bad. Is there any way to correct this? Or should I contact Jay for a replacement? The bottom end link is perfectly flush with the case. The end link also is loose and impossible to tighten the screws. I worry that its eventually going to come loose like rangers... Any suggestions?
  7. If you don't mind voiding your warranty...some of that may be possible now. Do you know if the 3rd party apps (mobile terminal and SSH) are that sofisticated?
  8. The feeling is that there will eventually be some sort of flash support in the future... http://www.mercurious.com/wordpress/2007/0...hone-and-flash/
  9. No difference in accuracy b/tw SS and TT. Just the problem with durability of gold plating as usual. The plating on the TT is reported to be thicker (18 mils) on the 7753 version, but I don't know how that relates to the length of time it will last (before making the watch unwearable). A better option may be getting a SS version and sourcing a solid gold bezel- $800 USD on E-bay. The 7753 is the same movement used in the gen. For me, the recessed DW and the potential problems with the Asian 7750 were deal breakers, so the 7753 was the better option.
  10. The chrono is more accurate. Except for the recessed DW on the asian version, its pretty much spot on. I own the TT ETA and I cannot be happier with it. Puts a dent in the wallet though.
  11. Does anyone know if the date wheel has been updated?
  12. Looks like Jay is pulling way from the pack....First the VCO, now this. Think I might have to get both. Gotta feed the addction.
  13. Hi all, Just received my Breitling GT 6.75 from one of the recommended dealers on RWG. I have only been wearing the watch for about 24 hours now, but have noticed that the running seconds will stop randomly (every 4-6 minutes usuallly) for a duration of a couple of minutes, then restart. Is this something that is normal for a new movement or should I be concerned. Also have noticed that the pusher does not reset the chrono to the twelve o'clock position. Every time I reset it, the point is further away from 12. Would appreciate any input from the experts. Thanks, JT
  14. Feeling left out....can somebody PM me the 411 on the VIP membership pleeeease.....? Thanks... JT
  15. Sorry guys, didn't get any info on VIP membership. I may have had my e-mail address hidden in settings. Can somebody help me out? Thanks.
  16. Hi all, Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm fairly new to the rep arena, but am very excited to get started. I am a big watch enthusiast and I can definitely see this new hobby becoming an addiction. I have already learned a ton of information from the forums here, and as good information is hard to find, this community is a gold mine. I would like to support RWG by becoming a VIP member, and would greatly appreciate someone PMing me on how to go about doing that. Looking forward to seeing you all in the VIP room. JT
