  1. Just got my RG/Ceramic HBB from one of our apprentice dealers Mark. I have been holding back from getting one of these watches although it is one of my favorites, due to the unwarranted high prices. I opted for the 21.6K version. There has been recent discussions regarding this movement, which is felt to be ok, as per the master, so I decided to to take the plunge. The Dealer: All I can say is Mark is excellent. Answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly. Lightening fast delivery!! I ordered the watch on 4/11 and received the watch today. The watch itself came well packaged, a round box with a watch pillow, inside of a larger box, inside of a larger box. I was like a kid at christmas. The anticipation of getting through all that packing was intense. The watch itself is beautiful: 1. The bezel is real ceramic 2. The AR is great, as comparable to the 28.8K version 3. The "engraved" rotor with more open appearance like the GEN. 4. And surprise! The crown is "push in" not the screw down type (? maybe a newer version from the second factory) The Deal: $425 shipped!!!--compared to $1200 from other dealers. I know I sound like a WatchMark shill, but why would you pay an additional $700 for a 28.8K movement? I could not be happier with the watch. Thanks again Mark!!
  2. There was mention that the low beat and high beat A7750 have different cases. Does anyone know if there are significant differences as far as fit and finish between the two? Has anyone heard back from Watchmark regarding the size (42 or 44mm)? I want to believe he was using the bezel size (which is correct at 42mm) for a measurement. These prices are easier to swallow though. $1000+ is just crazy for an A7750!!
  3. I agree with O', If you are looking at the Santos, the chronograph is the more accurate version. Beautiful watch and spot on; however mine rarely sees any wrist time. Not a very comfortable watch to wear due to the large square size. But looks pretty in the box.
  4. Excellent review Andy!!! Thanks! You made me miss mine. Can't wait to get it back from its Chief/Vac overhaul.
  5. Must be common problem with WM. My insert came the same way, although not quite as bent as yours. Maybe they should re-think they're shipping envelopes.
  6. Just saw this on Josh's website: I love the PF Kalpagraph Chrono and was waiting for this one. Very disappointed. A high quality rep it's not The Gen is soooo beautiful... I wish they would do this one justice. Anyone with me on this one? EDIT: Sorry... seems I'm late to the party....Topic already started here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=69611
  7. Tick...Tick...Tick...Tick....Boom! ...oh right! Lemania manual...Never mind.
  8. Very strange indeed.... I would NEVER send funds that way. Your just looking for a loss. I can't imagine why PT would request such a payment method. And he didn't even want you to wrap the CD case in a banana leaf?...Sounds HINKY to me. I hope everything works out though.
  9. If someone who is regular respected member on both RWI and RWG can find out what horologie_unitas' true intention is here, I think it would be a great help
  10. What the hell is member threadlocker talking about? Looks PERFECT to me. BTW: as I read it Zig, I don't think he was trying to pass the work off as his own. I think he was trying to get an unsolicited opinion of the work without revealing the artisan. Some of the people who responded, knew it was your work. I agree, still very poor form to use someone else's work and not be forthcoming where he got the pics.
  11. Good riddance....what an a$$hat
  12. unbelievable....
  13. It comes from Welsh.....but it does appear in the Oxford English Dictionary No...no bobbit at all.
  14. Not to jump on Pug's bandwagon, but the longest English word without a vowel is "Twyndyllyngs" (a 15th century spelling of the word "twinling," which means, in modern English, "twin." After missing my girlfriend's birthday last week... so do I
  15. That's the problem.....I think it all depends on which barrel they pull the bezels out of that day. @tanya - FWIW, every dealer will tell you they have the best version of whatever you are asking about. I never believe the hype.
  16. Ummmm....Ok, here's my cynical view.. We're not buying mechandise from Walmart here...let's face it, it's highly likely that our prescious watches are being assembled by the hands of pre-pubescent children. These are illegal sundries....What right do we have to question how they are made? I think it's better not to know. You think the prices are high now, what do you think they would be like if organized laborers were doing the work? If your moral conscience is troubled by this, then genuine watches are the way to go. There's always trade off in life, a little guilt and doubt.... for packages from GZ.
  17. I ordered a watch from them, A Breitling Bentley GT, a while ago, before I found this place. It took a good long time (2 months), but I finally got a watch...Pretty shi**y one at that. Overpriced, crap ....stay away from them....you have found mecca.
  18. Speechless.......
  19. I feel your frustration...Sad to say, but there is no replica watch that is 100% true to the original. While some come pretty close, if you look hard enough and know what to look for, there's always something that will give it away. That being said, most of the good reps will fool 99% of the public (Unless you hang out with a bunch of Risties) I do think that you have missed the point though. Confidence is something that should come from within oneself, not from a timepiece on your wrist. You should wear the watch...not visa versa.
  20. I would venture to say that the majority of the members here will find this a quite disturbing! This community exists and thrives because it remains under the radar. Anything that draws attention to our group, such as this, is unwanted!! Members are discouraged from posting pics of reps on GEN forums, from bringing their watches to AD's and even to linking to other websites in order to maintain a low profile. The fact that you mascaraded as a watch enthusiast for a year for your own gain IMO is despicable. Don't expect any kudos here...
  21. Easy to target a centralized P2P service. Not so easy to regulate customs services from multiple countries. As long as the Chinese government looks the other way, and allows the source to continue to produce, I cannot see the flow of reps coming in slowing.
  22. If they can't limit the rampant illegal drug trade in this country, I doubt they will be able to control tiny little packages coming in from GZ. Who knows, maybe we'll have to organize a ring of watch mules in order to get our Rolexes and PAMs in the future.
  23. Big doings in NYC this AM. The police have orchestrated a full on raid of 32 Canal street counterfeit vendors confiscating millions of dollars of contraband (bags, perfume, watches). Don't they have anything else to do? My guess the vendors will be up and running again tomorrow morning.
  24. I'm a little confused . It looks like the date font size is correct in some of the dates with the proper larger date (1st pic Lanikai's grey dial) but smaller in others (2nd pic Lanikai's grey dial) Are the the smaller size fonts on the double digit numbers the same as the gen? GEN: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Lanikai's:
